Deleting blocks of texts/messages/calls without doing them individually

Is there a way to delete multiple text/calls/messages (like highlighting and/or grouping) without having to do each one individually?
Thanks!!!

I apologize, but you can not delete all the texts,  messages, and calls on the device at once.
For calls:
To reset call log, while in the Call Log view, touch the Menu key, then touch "Clear Call Log"
For messages:
1) Go to Home
2) Then Go to "Messages"
3) Next Select "Menu"
4) Then Choose "Delete"
5) Now select the group of messages you wish to delete.
For emails:
When you are in your inbox, hit the menu button  and  it will give you the option to "delete." When you click "delete," all your emails will  display, and you can click on the X next to individual messages to delete them. If you press menu again it will bring up an option to "mark all. " Then you can delete all the email messages selected.

  • In Iphoto I have MANY duplicate photos. Is there a way I can rid the duplicates without doing them individually?  Thanks Dave

I have dozens of duplicate photos in Iphoto. Is there a way of deleting the duplicates without doing each one
    individually?  Thanks Dave

No - Diplicate Annihilator does not "accidently" duplicate anything - in fact is does not change anything - it simply identifies duplicates and markes them so you can easily deal with them
and iPhoto does  not duplicate photos - randomly, accidently or on purpose - duplicate photos are the result of user action like importing an iPhoto library into another iPhoto library (NEVER do that), telling iPhoto to importa all rahter than selected or other user errors
As to specific help you need to start a new thread and give exact details on your system and what you are doing and what exactly is happening

  • My Droid Maxx deleted all my text messages by itself. I had all of them, got a phone call, and when I got off the call, all my texts where gone. Is there a way I can get them all back?

My Droid Maxx deleted all my text messages by itself. I had all of them, got a phone call, and when I got off the call, all my texts where gone. Is there a way I can get them all back? I had a lot and some where really important to me. I turned the phone off and on again thinking that would bring them back because of some glitch but it didn't help. Does anyone know of a way to bring them all back?

It's very possible to get your messages back. Verizon Messages (app) from the Play Store has options both to restore and back up your messages. They can be downloaded as a file and saved on the device or SD card. By pulling the menu out from the left side and choosing "Restore Conversations", you can (hopefully) restore your lost messages but it says for 90 days. I hope this doesn't reach you too late.

  • Delete only one text message at a time w/o deleting entire conversation?

Does anyone know how to delete only one text message at a time without having to delete the entire conversation? The only two options I get are "clear conversation" or "cancel."
    HP   Windows XP

That's the same option I get too. It seems to me I recall seeing somewhere that you could delete individual messages in a thread but I don't remember where.
It seems silly to limit deletions to only the entire conversation since with most phones you can delete individual messages.

  • Can you block a text message sender?

Can you block a text message sender?

Not from the phone itself. Contact your carrier. In the U.S., all the major carriers offer some type of blocking for calls and text.

  • Block unwanted text messages in "Messages"

How do I block unwanted text messages in "Messages" under Maveriks?
I can do it on the iPhone but not on the iMac (which is pointless).

Go to your Settings and Un-Check your Data.. that should stop them if Not call Verizon 1-800-922-0204 Option 3 ask to stop the Text)  And have fun on your Trip.. b33

  • With recent calls , is it possible to save certain calls without saving them to contacts and delete the ones i dont want?

    My question is ,
with the recent calls is the a way to save certain calls without saving them as contacts, and delete the others that i dont need?    I am a truck driver and i  need only certain calls during the day and if i could delete only the ones that arent needed for the day and keep the others that would make the day run smoother.  Each is different and when the day is finished then i would delete the ones i needed for the day and start all over again.   Is this possible?

I think you would have to reinstall the keys seeing that if you format the computer all the data is gone. Even though you backed up that data you never know what can happen when you try to reinstall certain apps. Not sure what method you can go by, you should run a diagnostics test to see how you computer is doing internally.
    Goodluck

My iPhone 3Gs randomly shutting off at any given moment. I could be in the middle of a text, a call, or doing some games and it'll just shut off.
Now here's the unique part. When I go to turn it back on, the apple loading screen pops up but it takes somewhere from 3-5 minutes for it to boot up. Then the lock screen with the time and whatnot shows up. From this point on, my iPhone has a chance to shut itself back down and I have to repeat the process over and over again. Most of the time the lock screen flashes and then goes straight to black (shut down) but sometimes I can make it a few menus before it shuts itself down.
The only way to keep the iPhone on is to plug it into a charger of any sort. I'm fairly certain it isn't a battery charge issue because this happens at any % of power and sometimes my iPhone can use up all of its charge and not have this happen while other times I can be at 90-100% and it could randomly shut itself down. What can I do in this situation if some has some solution to this problem please let me know on [email protected] Thanks!

Not sure if this Term is Relevant towards an iPhone but, my iPhone won't Post unless if it's plugged into a Charger.

  • How do i delete all my text messages to speed up my phone

How do I delete all  my text messages at one time  on my s4?

That's a great way to clear up memory and speed things up, 357tony. What message app do you use with your S4? Is it Messaging, Message+, or one downloaded from the Play Store?

  • How do I  delete a single text message from iPhone 6,I don't have a trash can.

How do I delete a single text message from conversation on I phone 6 ?  I don't have a trash can & touching "edit" will only delete the all messages from that person.

Thanks for your reply, deggie, but as I stated in the original question I do not have  a trash can.   However, I went to the Verizon store and after many attempts to locate a trash can the sales rep turned off the phone with both buttons held down.  When the apple came back the trash can came back. He had never seen that problem before so we both learned something !

  • How do I permanently delete photos or text messages?

How do I permanently delete photos or text messages?

    diesel,
When I look for an answer to a problem, especially a question that might already be answered, it's because: 1) I need an answer right away, and might not be able to wait a few hours or days for someone to respond, 2) I often don't know if a feature or problem was there from the early iPhones or is brand new, so my first thought is not "that answer is old, therefore irrelevant."
I know, "read the User's Guide." You sound like Mrs. Suggs, my third grade teacher. If I had taken up someone's time by posting a new question, I get the feeling you would have told me "Don't ask questions there are already answers to." But thank you for your help.

  • How do I delete 1500 photos on my phone without doing it one by one?

how do I delete 1500 photos on my phone without doing it one by one? How can I delete them on my computer without importing them all? The apple support guy on the phone said to plug in phone to computer then go to finder and see devices and select DCIM folder to delete photos, but I can't even find my device on my computer (only shows up in itunes or iphoto.)

Track is not in any playlists :-)
I think the whole system is just not letting me (who does not listen to music since I'm tone deaf) send my music onto my wife's phone. I managed to copy the file somehow to her phone, but now I cannot delete it again, and I think having 2 itunes accounts is perhaps confusing things - I get the feeling we are not allowed to share music even though I have not got any apple devices of my own. I bought some music but cannot give it to my wife?
I've been messing about with the only song I ever bought on itunes for an hour now, its bedtime, thanks for being so patient with me.

  • Blocking a text message

Is there any way to block a text message from being sent to me?

No, not from your iPhone... but you may be able to block a particular number If you go to your AT&T store and ask them to do it. They'd be the only people that could block a number, if they can't noone can!
