Deleting calendars & e-mail addresses from iTunes "info" tab.

When I connect my iphone to my Mac, in iTunes launches when I look at the "info" tab there are calendars and e-mail addresses greyed out. (I use icloud so I don't sync my e-mail & calendars on the Mac.) Is there any way to delete those as one of the e-mail addresses and calendars I no longer use. It's not a make or break issue, more of just wanting to clean them out. I am running Lion on a MacBook Pro. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

This is all part of the risk of making yourself a public figure.
Your e-mail address is necessary in your feed file so Apple can communicate with you if needed. Since Apple is not going to manually process that address to remove any bot-blocking characters, you need to keep it "real".
Using a gmail or other somewhat independant address can help limit the visibility of your primary address.

Select the account to remove.
At the bottom of the account list select Account Actions-Remove Account

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on your exact situation or configuration. If you simply need to change the information in Messages, you should be able to do so in the Message Settings outlined in these articles:

If this is a used iPhone that still has the previous owner's information on it or associated with it, you may find it easier to simply reset it as a new device, as noted here:

IPhone 3G - iTunes "Info Tab" Incorrect Email Address

The e-mail address posted under the "Info Tab" in ITunes differs from my actual MobileMe address. My actual address is [email protected] but under the INfo Tab it is listed as [email protected] Does any one know where this is picked up?
If under "Advanced" I choose to Replace info on this iPhone from iTunes, it creates a second account on my iPhone.
Any ideas, how to correct this so it lists my correct MobileMe e-mail address under the Info Tab?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
There is probably not much we can do here to help...this is a user-to-user forum and not Apple, Inc. Apple provides the servers, etc. and monitors behavior but does not respond directly normally.
Best thing would be to go to the iTunes account and cancel the account and create a new one. Users on these discussions do not have access to the accounts.
Some members can contact the Apple hosts and alert them to the problem but we really can not do anything ourselves.

Hi - I have a few friends that have changed e-mail addresses. I have removed the old e-mail address from my contacts on my iPhone, however, when I go to begin a new e-mail to them the old e-mail address still shows up as an option. I have already sent e-mails to the incorrect e-mail address a couple of times and I'd really like to delete these incorrect e-mail addresses completely from the iPhone. I have a PC (not a MAC) and my contacts are through my Yahoo e-mail account. I have deleted the incorrect addresses on the Yahoo account on my PC (not that it should matter anyway - since they aren't synced).

iCloud is free (5GB) with iOS 5 you should look into it, makes syncing contacts and editing much easier. To delete an email address you select the contact from the address book, press edit, there will be a red circle with a white line through it, press that then press delete. Then add their new email and press done. If its still coming up the only thing I can think of is if you have an old email in your mail app from their old email address and that may be what is causing the old address to come up.

I have the original iPhone and I want to know if there is a way to delete e-mail addresses from the "to:" drop down. It gets bothersome when they are not your contact's e-mails but instead e-mails addresses of people you have no longer contact with.

All email recipients are stored by the iPhone in what is called a list of previous recipients. The "To drop down" or autofill feature pulls from your iPhone's address book and the list of previous recipients. At the present time, there is not a way to access the list of previous recipients to remove previous recipients from the list, or add a previous recipient to the iPhone's address book that is not already entered.
The only way to completely purge the list of previous recipients at the present time is restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup. The list of previous recipients is included with your iPhone's backup.

I am changing ISPs and will be dropping two email addresses I use as AppleID's. Can I keep them as AppleID's and use a rescue e-mail address from a new ISP? What are the downsides if I have an iCloud address as an alias under one of those addresses?

I am about to change internet service providers and will be dropping two e-mail addresses that I use as Apple ID’s. One is used solely for iTunes and the other is used for iCloud, mail, calendars, etc. The second has two iCloud email address as aliases. I will be going to a new ISP and will establish an e-mail address from that ISP as a backup in case the iCloud addresses are not available.
It has been suggested to me that I should continue to use the e-mail addresses from the old ISP as my Apple ID’s. And that I use the e-mail address from the new ISP as a rescue e-mail address for those Apple ID’s to get any communications relating to the ID’s. That seems like a simple and straight-forward way of handling the change and would minimize the chance of complications from changing the Apple ID’s. But, are there any downsides to handling the change in this way? If so, what are they?

You can continue to use them as Apple ID's, change the rescue address (as you know)
You can use your iCloud address, but it won't be an alias, it's a full email address.

Greetings! I hope someone out there can help me. I'm not exactly a genius when it comes to numbers...
My Issue:
I'm attempting to sending out a large e-mail blast via software called hoolie, it seems to be working amazingly well except for the fact that I've reached our Gmail accounts daily limit which I had zero idea existed.
So about 1100 emails were sent and I still have to send about 1500 emails left to be sent. The software has no ability to resend to the failed e-mail addresses, so I'm left to my own devices...
My Goal:
I want to be able to subtract out the 1100 e-mail address from the csv file I have with all the addresses. Once I subtract out the e-mail addresses I can then resend the blast and throttle it so it takes a day or so and won't freak out google gmail...
How can I accomplish this? I have the orginal CSV file with all the names and e-mail addresses and I have a new numbers doc in which I pasted the e-mails that were succesfully sent...
Thoughts? Suggetsions?

Are you suggesting that it sent it to a random sample of the email addresses, that it did not start at the beginning and go row by row until it failed? If that is the case, you can import the CSV file into Numbers, paste your list of sent addresses in another column or another table of that document, then use COUNTIF to look for duplicates.
The best I can do is an example.Your table will no doubt be different so you'll have to rejigger the formula.
Importing your CSV file will create column B
Insert two new columns, C and D
Use Copy/Paste to copy/paste your list of sent addresses from your other document into column D
The formula in column C is =IF(COUNTIF(D,B)>0,"Was Sent","")
Once it has done its thing, sort by column C to get all the "Was Sent" rows together. Delete them. Delete column C, Delete column D. Share as a CSV.

When you run the file online it will open an email window with the address already entered. If you test it while in the authoring mode, you are likely to have a browser window also appear, but this only happens when testing from your pc.

I have always copied and pasted e-mail addresses from an excel file into the "to" field on the e-mail. This has always worked fine. Now for some reason, if there is a blank row on the excel field between e-mail addresses, when copying over it is now adding commas to the e-mail addresses meaning that the address fails. Something must have changed in my settings but I do not know where. Appreciate any help please

Just to add some info, it works just as bad if you copy from your own address-book. If there is a missing line it will show up as an extra comma and the recipient after that comma will fail.
