Deleting CDs?

Hi. I am trying to put a bunch of CDs into my ipod before I go on vacation tomorrow so my computer is very low on memory and I was wondering if it is possible to put a CD into Itunes and then take it out once I put it on my ipod so that it doesn't take up so much memory. thanks!
(also. I have already cleared as much memory as possible off of my computer so please don't recommend that I do that.)

Yes, if your iPod is set for manual sync, it will work.

  • Unable to deleted CDS data

    Hi ,
I have a data object with a parent and a child note. In order to delete the CDS enteries i performed a SDOE_CLEANUP and only the parent node CDS data was deleted but not the CDS data in the child note. Please let me know why the  data in the child node is not getting deleted and also how to delete it.
    Regards,
    Madhu.

    Hi,
After you run  SDOE_CLEANUP for a SWCV, all Data Object Nodes from your SWCV should be totally empty. Please, check on the transaction that you are not selecting the Option Reset R&R Only.
Is your SWCV on the last version? Can you generate and activate your SWCV and then execute the SDOE_CLEAN? It's possible than an inactive version cause the problem.

  • Empty cds.log

    Hi,
SAP support ask me to send them Nakisa logs (cds.log). Also they ask to clear file before (to minimize the size and remove info not regarding issue). But, after I backed up current file and cleared it (actually delete cds.log and create empty new one) Nakisa stops logging in it at all. Does anybody know the reason and how to clear cds.log correctly?
(My app is OrgChart 3.0SP2 249, OS where files hosted is HP-UX)
    Best regards,

    Hi Sergey,
You need to stop the application and then delete the log file. After deleting it you need to start the application again. To stqrt and stop the application follow these steps:

  • All CDs deleted from iPod but still in iTunes library. help?

So i imported some more CDs to my iTunes and it wouldn't let me drag and drop it to sync. Nothing happened whenever i did that. I ended up pressing sync and it deleted all of my CDs from my iPod 5th generation. they're still in my library, but I have no clue how to get them back on my iPod. i keep dragging them and dropping them but nothing is happening. I also restored a backup, but it was still the same. I'm getting frustrated because the CDs account for most of my music on my iPod. Any help would be much appreciated!

You can't sync and use Match
    This
iTunes Match on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
    includes:
When you enable iTunes Match on your iOS device, the music library on your iOS device will be deleted and replaced with your music in iCloud.
Syncing music with iTunes will be disabled while iTunes Match is enabled on your iOS device.

  • How do i delete a purchase on my ipod touch 4g, two cds i need to delete

i ordered two cds on my ipod touch, but later i wanted to delete them but they keep coming back, i turned off icloud, how can i delete these discs

Did you go to Settings>Store and turn off automatic Music downloads?

  • ITunes 10.3.1 freezes when I try to delete files I have ripped from my own CDs.

I am in the process of updating a number of CDs that I ripped at 128kbps with rips at 256kbps.  When I delete the 128kbps files most of the time iTunes 10.3.1 freezes with the spinning beach ball.  The files are in the trash but I have to force quit iTunes.  When I restart iTunes, the deleted files are still visible and playable and I can know delete these without any issues.
I have tried turning off my external OWC Mercury Pro Blu-ray/DVD/CD burner but this has no effect.

I have the same issue.  I took it the genius bar and called talked to tier 2 phone support. They have standard thing where you uninstall all apple software in a certain order and then reinstall 64bit itunes.  That did nothing (tried it 4 times).
I've gotten two clues so far.
One is that at the store if I plug someone else's iphone 4 in then itunes acts the same way. So it is not the phone. Two is tier 2 phone support told me to try syncing it with a fresh user account (an admin one). I did that and itunes was just fine, it did not freeze.
So there appears to be some conflict with the software, music files, whatever that is on my current user account (also an admin account).  I ran virus and malware detectors and found nothing.  Now I'm going to try putting my music, movies, apps, etc in the new user account and see if the phone will sync then.
I know its not much but thats where I'm at. I hope it helps.

  • Songs that are imported manually from cds or flash drives are randomly deleting from my iphone 5. Sometimes I get an error -54 message first. Sometimes not. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

I have an iPhone 5 16g ios 8.2 and it keeps randomly deleting the songs I manually put on from cds or flash drives. The songs I purchased from iTunes don't delete just the ones I manually add. It has happened three times, once after I added 399 songs, once after I added 27 songs and once when I added 45 songs. Sometimes an error (-54) pops up but not always, it's just in an instant all the songs I put on are suddenly gone. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes three times, reset all the settings on my phone and also restored my phone to factory settings. Nothing has worked. I have a 4th generation iPod and I have never had this problem. Any and all suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions..
My first suggestion is to Repair Disk. Here's how:
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel, and report)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
If DU reports errors it cannot repair you will need to use a utility like Tech Tool Pro or Disk Warrior
Please post back and let me know how that goes.

Assume you were in itunes?  Also assuming windows?  Two paths I can think of.....
    1) Normally anything deleted from itunes goes to recycle bin.  If you did not pick remove from computer probably still in itunes music directory.  Just add back.  Note to speed things up you can use add directory.
    2) Use restore previous version of music directory.  To be safe I'd back up current directory, do a restore, then swap back original directory and use restored directory off line.
I do not know of nice solution, I like to hack my way through.

  • Music from PC I loaded some CDs onto my PC and want to know if, and how, I can move them from my PC to my IPad2. Also, if I get them moved can u delete individual songs from those moved to IPad

I loaded some music CDs onto my PC. Can I move them from PC to my IPad 2? If so how?  I loaded the CDs into ITunes on PC and when synced with IPad I saw them on the  IPad, but once the PC was disconnected here seems to be no music on my IPad. How or canons move music ? Other than hat u purchase? can editing be done onIPad if music is moved there? IE deleting songs from list?

Do not look at the library on the left. You want to use the iTunes window on the right - after you select the iPad. This illustrates how to select the iPad. In this screenshot I marked it iPod but it works the same way for the iPad.
Click on the iPad's name on the left side of the iTunes window - under devices - in order to select your iPad.
Then click on the Music Tab in the window on the right side
Find the songs in the music section
Click on the boxes next to the songs - or click on the album or playlist that the songs are in
Make sure that the Sync Music heading is selected at the top of the tab
Click on Apply in the lower right corner.
You can read this as well for more help.

  • IPhone has been deleting songs that I have downloaded from CDs

Songs that I downloaded into iTunes from previously purchased CD's have been randomly deleted from my iPhone 4, but in iTunes they still play. Music that I directly purchased through iTunes is still working.

This happened to me too, but I only have cds.  I read in another thread the problem could be in a corrupted file.  They said to re-sync with nothing checked off, this would delete everything from the phone.  Then re-sync with your selected music.  My problem started occurring when certain songs were deleted from a CD accidently on the Mac and iTunes couldn't sync those songs becuase it couldn't find them.  I wiped out my phone as described and re-synced without that CD being selected and haven't had the problem anymore.   It seems like the issue is fixed now.

  • ITunes deletes all music from CDs from my iPhone

I recently purchased a new iPhone 6. I transferred all my apps, photos, music etc to the new phone and everything appeared fine. However every time I sync the phone with iTunes all of my music that was not purchased through iTunes (e.g. CDs that I imported into iTunes) gets deleted from my phone. However it does not show up as deleted until I try to play it, at which point my phone skips through all the songs showing a red square next to them. I have iTunes set up to sync my entire music library. The only way I know how to get all the songs back is to delete all music from the phone each time I sync with iTunes and let iTunes copy everything back to my phone (and avoid syncing with my PC unless I really have to). Once re-synced everything is fine until I sync the phone with iTunes again at which point all my music other than iTunes purchases are removed from my phone.

I have had the same problem for two months and have tried many different suggestions with no luck. Have you been given any answers from apple?

  • Can I syn my new iphone to my itunes library on my PC even if it is already registered to my ipod? If so will it delete the library on my computer? And can I back my library up to my external hard drive instead of CDs?

Can I add my iphone to an exising itunes account which is registered to my ipod without wiping my computer library? Also is it poss to back up my library onto a external hard drive instead of CDs?

"am I still able to register another phone to the same ID?"
    Yes.
") that I do end up creating a new apple ID "
This will cause complications.  i do not recommend this.

  • How do i delete existing CD's to sync different CDs to my ipod shuffle?  I am new to all of this

I am new to this all.  How do I delete my existing ipod shuffle CD's and sync my new

Any nice user out there to help a 53 widow of 5/7/2011.Lost my computer 1/2 and the greatest love affair of all times, but I haven't committed suicide because it is a mortal sin and I would never get to Heaven and lose my LOVE forever.  Married 18 years and joined to the hip.  Didn't need to go meet friends for we were meant to compliment each other perfectly.  Thank any kind soul to help me through this.  It, everything, is too hard right now.  I'm not clear headed.

When you connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes you will see the iPod in the source list to the left, under DEVICES. To the LEFT of your iPod you should see a gray arrow, if you click on it so that it points downward you will be able to see what you've synced to your iPod. (You will see "Music" below the iPods name once you've clicked on the arrow) If you click on Music, below the iPod you are able to click on any songs you don't want and hit "Delete" on your keyboard.
Make sure to click on the song to highlight it and then hit delete.

  • Deleting Entire CDs

I know this is a dumb question but how do you delete and entire CD from your iTunes library. I'm able to delete single songs fine but I can't for the life of me figure out how to delete an entire CD.
I know there's probably an easy way to do this but I haven't come across it yet.
If anyone has an answer, please respond. It would be greatly appreciated.
    PowerMac G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

In the search bar in itunes, search for the CD you want to delete in your library. Highlight all of the songs that come up as a result by pressin command+A, then drag the one load of songs to the trash.

  • ITunes Randomly Deletes Imported CDs

HELP!? This has been going on for years and is maddening. I will go to listen to a CD in my iTunes collection only to get the error:
The song “<NAME>” could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?  (note: the <NAME> will be the missing song name)
But it can't be found because there's no trace of it on the harddrive. When I dig out the CD again and re-import, iTunes remembers the disc because it will have selected only the songs I imported originally.
The selections it removes are random. I do use an external hard drive for the music library. That external hard drive has a Mac mini connected. I'm usually listening via my MBP in a separate part of the house. It doesn't seem to matter which computer was the source for burning the discs, it'll delete in all cases.
    Any suggestions?
