Deleting email in Outlook doesn't delete on iDevices

Hello,
I have an iPad mini and an iPhone 4. I have my Exchange (Office 365) account setup on both devices. Lately, when I delete an email in Outlook, it is not removed from either my iPad or my iPhone. I am still receiving mail on both of those devices without issue. I am not sure when the problem started and one of my coworkers that has an iPhone isn't having the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions other than removing the account from the iDevices and then adding it back? I'd rather only do that as a last resort.

That would be the best way to troubleshoot the problem, delete the account and reinstall it.

I am able to receive messages on my IMac using Outlook but am unable to send. I've had no trouble in the past but began receiving the following messages today.

Here are the correct settings. They have never changed since iCloud debuted a year ago.

There are 2 settings to check for email programs, one is the Windows default email program which you probably already have set to Outlook. The other is a Firefox setting that determines how it handles mailto links. The second one may be set to Gmail. For details see [[Changing the e-mail program used by Firefox]]

Converting an Outlook email with Images doesn't work

I can convert any email from Outlook to a PDF and it will include all .doc and .pdf files, but it seems to just ignore any image attachments. I'm using Acrobat 11.0.06
Is there a reason why or a solution to get around this? I need to maintain a database of all my applications and some come in as PDF's, others as image files.
I cannot find an email address for Adobe either, bit fustrating.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Goto the Change Conversion settings option on the Adobe PDF tab in outlook.
On the settings tab , unselect - "Block downlaod of external content"
That should solve the issue for you.

It looks like it's marking them somehow and then when Outlook checks it finds no 'new' eMails...

I believe this should only happen if you read the message on your Droid X before opening Outlook on pc, Outlook should check for unread emails everytime it is opened, if the message was just delivered but not read Outlook should still alert you when it is opened. If you read email on device you can mark message as unread and outlook should notify of new message again.

Why doesn't my email in outlook forward to my iphone? Everything else does, ie calendar, contacts

I setup icloud and syncd everything. The only issue is my email does not come to my phone. When I syncd the email I had to setup a @me account and it shows up in outlook as a folder but my main email that outlook goes through is our company email through roundcube. My apple id is also setup through my company email. I can send emails from my phone but I noticed on a test email it shows up as my @me account even though my log in on the phone shows my other email. How do I fix this? I've searched and read different ideas about servers erasing emails and changing different settings but I had no luck. The options I came across lately are beyond my expertise. Walk throughs would be much appreciated if it requires more than a basic working knowledge. I am actually setting this up from my boss and I don't use the iphone nor outlook often but over the past few days became accquainted with both. Thanks for any suggestions!

It actually fixed itself on installation of the update to 10.9.4, or at least it appears to have fixed itself anyway Thanks for the help though, that's a good page for reference.

Can't read attached files to older emails in Outlook 2010

I have Outlook 2010 connected with MS Exchange.
I can’t read attached files to older emails than 3 months. In attached elements there are only small files and I’m not able to open them (size in Bytes!) - double click doesn't work. I've tried different solutions:

Can you read the attachments if we logon in OWA? If attachments can be read in OWA, we may try to delete the original OST file and restart Outlook to sync a new one to see the result. If still no luck, we can create a new mail profile in Control Panel to
check the result. See:

If same issue continues in OWA, you may need to recover the data from the backup you create before.

Can't sync multiple emails from Outlook 2007 into Iphone

It only listed the main (usually work) email, and does not transfer the home and other emails from Outlook. I can manually enter a second email and label it on the iphone, but that is not helpful as I have hundreds of business/friends with multiple emails in my Outlook... it does get home and work addresses...

The workaround is to use Cached Exchange Mode or "Shift + Delete", as the user doesn't want to delete the message permanently, using Cached Exchange Mode is preferred.
Based on my research, this issue is more Exchange 2010 related, and you mentioned the user also got the error from Outlook Web Access. This issue occurs after Exchange 2010 Service Pack 2 RU6 or Exchange 2010 Service Pack 3 is installed.
To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:

I recently upgraded from Office 2010 to 2013. For several weeks everything ran smoothly but a few days ago I noticed that my Verizon POP3 account was unable to send mail - items just sit in outbox. I have deleted/added the account and the profile
multiple times, this will solve the problem for a few days but then it returns again. I discovered that if I run Outlook as an administrator the mail will send without a problem. I have checked permissions on the pst file and do not see any issues.
Sometimes but not always I receive a message on the POP3 send that there was no network connection check mode. The send test message in the account set up never has a problem - it's only the periodic Outlook sending and receiving when the problem occurs.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Since the problem could be be solved for a few days by deleting/re-adding the profile and the account, the problem may be related to the .pst file. When the problem comes back, run Scanpst.exe to repair the. pst file, will the problem be fixed again?

We can also assume there are other programs that are interacting with the .pst file, reboot and disable the possible programs to test if this makes a difference.
If you're disconnected, you'll also need to check the network cable, try restarting your computer, or contact your Internet Service Provider or your system administrator. This implies the issue may be related to the anti-virus program or the firewall settings,
which may be scanning the outgoing emails from Outlook. We can disable them temporarily to send the emails again, check if this helps.

Lync presence coloured square not working when sending email in Outlook 2013

OK, I'm running Lync 2013 & Outlook 2013.
When I send an email from Outlook the small Lync presence icon that appears in the "To" field after you type the user your sending the email to does not appear. You get the user name but where the coloured square should be it's just white
(like the background colour).
If I hove the mouse pointer over the user name the pop-up contacts box shows the Lync presence correctly.
At the bottom of the new email window, the Lync presence is always shown correctly.
This happens for users with or without pictures set as their Lync icon.
I've completed a repair of the Office install without success. Also uninstalled Lync & Office and re-installed but still no joy. Also tried creating new Outlook profile but this didn't work.
If I create a brand new Windows 7 profile, and then create a new mail profile it works fine. So, it must be a user profile problem. Hopefully someone can point me to a registry key or something as I'd rather not go through the pain of migrating
to a new user profile.

If we need to show the Online status for contacts, just go to FILE tab ->
Options -> People -> check Display online status next to name ->
OK.
Please also try the steps below:
Lync -> Options -> Personal -> Under
Personal information manager -> Select None ->
OK.
Go to Outlook, People, Right click on Lync Contacts and
Delete Folder.
Then go back to Lync to the same options, choose Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft Outlook, go back to Outlook let the Lync contacts sync again to check the result.
