Deleting emails on more than one device

How do I delete emails on my iphone and laptop so that when  I delete them on one device they're deleted on the other

You have to set up your email account as IMAP instead of POP - if that's available. If not, you're stuck with it.

  • Accessing email from more than one device

Finally have all my devices up todate. Iphone, Ipad and imac. How can I access me @me.com mail from all three? All I have been able to find is that it is difficult. But is it impossible? Can someone help?
    Thanks

on a device:  go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars, in the Accounts section, Add Account and enter the icloud ID and password to set up the mail account.  If you already have an icloud account there, you should be getting emails.  If not, delete that account and start again.  You won't lose emails, since they are store on icloud.

  • I have songs from icloud showing on more than one device but only want them on one so how do i delete them

Can some tell me how i can not have the songs showing on more than one device for my account

That's correct - it only deletes them from your phone, not from iCloud
If you go into Settings, Music and set Show All Music to Off, you will only see the songs that are actually on the phone.
One other tip - once you've deleted the songs/lists you no longer want, restart the phone (hold the Home and Sleep buttons for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears) to make sure the songs are gone.

  • More than one device is using the same email. Help!

I use to have an Iphone in the summer but now its disconnected and i left my apple ID signed into my Imessage. The other phone is still disconnected but I am 100% sure she is recieving my messages and I can't get a hold of the other iphone. Is there something i can do to my current iphone so she can stop recieving the messages? Will changing the email that i recieve messages at help? or changing the password to my Apple ID? Please help.

I will restate what is happening.
    Network:
House; internet to wireless router BEFW11S4 (wireless=off, DHCP=on), 5 computers wired in plus one wireless bridge WET11.
The bridge talks to a second wireless router in the office (100 feet away).  Wireless=on, DHCP=off, different address!  There are 3 computers there.
This has worked for years!  There is a third wireless router with wireless=off, DHCP=off and with a different address that is used for a hub.
Now people come with laptops and want to use wireless. If any of the routers have wireless=on the network crashes with “more than one device with same address”.
To troubles shoot; I reduced the network down to 3 pieces.  Router in house, 1 computer and the WET11 bridge.  All have fixed addresses!  If I set wireless=on (router), then the bridge and the wireless router communicate wireless and communicate via cat-5.  The network crashes.
For a test; I connected all three routers together with wireless=on then the bridge talks to all three via wireless and via cat-5 wire. I tried WEP with different pass phrases on each router and different frequencies.  My bridge will talk to all routers it can find on any frequency with any pass phrase.  It may not be able to pass files but it can find all the computers.
    I believe the router wakes up and sees;
    its self 192.168.123.254, computer 192.168.123.100 and a bridge 192.168.123.225
The bridge sees a new network with:
    Router 192.168.123.254, computer 192.168.123.100 and bridge 192.168.123.225
And that bridge sees a new network with:
    Router 192.168.123.254, computer 192.168.123.100 and bridge 192.168.123.225
    “feed back”
I really want the bridge to talk to router 192.168.123.253 (office) but not talk to .254 on the same switch/hub (house).

  • Airport disconnects when there's more than one device

I've got a really weird problem.. I have an Apple Airport Extreme 802.11n 3rd Generation. Software version 7.6 When more than one device connecrts to the base station it will disconnect everyone and then all devices will go into a connect/disconnect loops. Rapidly. This occurs only with wireless device. I watched the radar on my iPhone (5.1), Macbook running Snow Leopard, Macbook Air running Lion, and iPad 2 (5.1) blinking on and off, on and off. The only way to resolve this is to just have ONE person connect at a time.
    Things I've tried:
    1) Updating all software on all devices
    2) Updating Airport firmware
    3) Reboot and then restoring factory settings on the Airport when the reboot didn't work
    4) Turning off encryption (WP2)
    5) Making sure there are enough IP's for all the devices, turning off robustness, making sure the router is visible.
Because I know someone will ask this: The Airport sits atop a credenza in the open air. Nothing on, around, or above it. It's been in this position for months with no problem. It's not overly warm to the touch and I even used compressed air to blow out the vents (just in case) when this problem began.
I read once upon a time that the router gets a cache built up and that can cause these types of issues, but I have no idea how to delete said cache or even if it exists. It's just odd this only happens when more than one wireless device tried to connect to the network.
    Thoughts?

I've resolved this! For some odd reason Apple won't let me denote this so I'm adding this reply. Turns out the problem was POWER related. The Airport was plugged into a power strip with several other devices. I unplugged all of those leaving just the Airport and the problem has not returned. If I add on all the devices, regardless of the power strip used, the problem returns. So it appears the Airport was just not getting enough power.
I've got it on a UPS now and the problem has not returned.

  • Is there a stereo bluetooth headset that can pair with more than one device at a time?

Is there a stereo bluetooth headset that can pair, i.e. multipoint, with more than one device at a time?
Are the MacBook and iPhone 4 capable of multipoint bluetooth technoloagy?
The goal is for my wife to be able to watch her Korean TV soap operas on her MacBook and still receive a call on her iPhone 4 via a stereo bluetooth headset.
I was looking at the Motorola S10-HD but after further review saw that it only pairs with one device at a time.
Appreciate any and all input. My Googling has returned no results.

You can only pair one device at a time to your 8330, or any other phone for that matter.  The "pairings" are saved to the phone, you can use one or the other and you won't have to pair it again.  Once you turn your bluetooth device on and the phone is on, they will find each other again.
    Hope this helps,

  • I want to use Back to my mac. When I try to turn it on, it says "Back to My Mac may be slow because more than one device on your network is providing network services.   Turn off NAT and DHCP on one of the devices and try again." How do I fix this?

Not sure if I am doing this right. This is my first time in the support community.
I imagine what I put in my heading was supposed to go in here.
I want to use Back to my mac. When I try to turn it on, it says "Back to my mac may be slow because more than one device on your network is providing network services. Turn off NAT and DHCP on one of the devices and try again. See the documentation that came with your device for information about turning off network services"
Does anyone know how I do this? I contacted my ISP (Telus in Canada) and they did not know anything (not that they usually do).

Why do ISPs insist upon making things so difficult for their customers?
If you cannot get them to understand that you would prefer to use your own router over their piece of cheap junk, perhaps the information in the following will be useful:
    http://keithbalomben.wordpress.com/2012/03/29/telus-actiontec-v1000h-hacks-and-i nformation/
    Scroll down to DHCP Settings
You will need to log in with proper "technician" credentials. They are provided in the above link as
    Username: tech
    Password: t3lu5tv
... but these may or may not work. Try it, and if you cannot get anywhere at least now you know what to ask Telus to do in return for your business.

  • How do I use AE to allow more than one device with my cable modem?

I connected by AE to my cable modem at my house in Japan and it works fine on "bridge mode," but only for one device at a time (this laptop, but not my iPod Touch, or vice versa). As soon as I connect a new device, it will kick the other one off. It seems that my cable modem here will only allow one device. Is there a way that I can use my Airport Extreme to allow more than one device and not have to pay the Internet provider extra for multiple IP addresses? How do I go about this? Do I select "share a public IP address" or do I select "distribute a range of IP addresses?" I tried these options but obviously wasn't doing it correctly, because then I lost the connection for everything... Thanks!

It would be best if you "hard reset" the Airport Extreme to clear out the old and conflicting settings and then reconfigure it again.
Hold in the reset button until you see the amber light begin to blink more quickly. Keep holding for another 3-4 seconds when you see this and then release the reset button. That will get the Extreme back to the original starting point.
After you have powered the modem back up after the full reset, you will need to reconfigure the AirPort Extreme again. If you are using he guided setup in AirPort Utility, you will choose the option to "create a wireless network" during the setup.
If you are using the Manual Setup, the Wireless Mode will be "Create a wireless network" and the setting for Connection Sharing would be "Share a public IP address". Adjusting the Connection Sharing setting would be the last thing that you do before you click Update to save settings.
Here, I am assuming that you have a simple cable modem (it will have only one ethernet port), correct?

  • Can't connect more than one device.

I just bought an Airport Express 2 gen from a friend and I have two issues: I tried to reset it to factory settings and could not do it. Tried holding the reset button for 10 secs, unplugging and plugging back in while holding the reset button, holding the button for a longer time and nothing worked. I had no choice but to create another network. Once created, I can't connect more than one device. If I have my MacAir hooked up the network and I try to get my Ipad in, the minute I type the network pass in my Ipad, a screen pops up where I have to log in with my internet provider account. When I do that, it will connect, but my MacAir will disconnect automatically.
    Appreciate any help!

Things are a bit different with the 2nd Gen AirPort Express and other newer AirPorts.
A Factory Default Reset is now the same as what was previously known as a "Hard Reset".
Power up the AirPort Express and let it run a few minutes.
Hold in the reset button on the Express for 10 seconds
Release the reset button and allow a full minute for the Express to restart to a slow, blinking amber light
If the Express is operating correctly, it will be back to factory default settings at this time.
If you try the reset a few times and the Express will not return to default settings, the Express is defective.
