Deleting emails on phone and laptop

When I delete emails from my Z10, the emails don't delete from my laptop. On the Blackberry I used to have, when I deleted a email on the phone, it gave me the option to delete on my laptop. Is there a setting or option on my phone I can turn on ?

Go to your Hub and press the three dots in the lower right and select Settings>Display and Actions and scroll down to Delete On and select Handheld and Server. That's the closest you'll get to what you're describing.

How do I delete emails from the phone and the server. Every time I attempt to delete I get a "unable to move this mail". When I reopen my email, all previous mails reappear.

Its a personal account. While waiting and fiddling with the phone, I think I solved the problem. Settings, My mail accont, on imap page...account, advanced, under mailbox behavior..deleted mailbox, checked trash on the server. That di it. Thanks for starting to help.

If you are accessing your Gmail account as an IMAP account, no.
This is the standard behavior with an IMAP account. All server stored mailboxes with an IMAP account are kept synchronized with the server. This provides for accessing the account with an email client on multiple computers or devices keeping all account mailboxes synchronized with all email clients used to access the account.

Has nothing to do with syncing your phone. Determined by what type of email account you have. To keep mail in sync requires an IMAP or Exchange account, not possible with a POP account.

new to Z1, actually new to Android, and wondering how to set up my Z1 so I can choose which emails to delete from just the phone or delete from phone and server. Having come across from Blackberry, which asks me whether I wish to delete email from phone or phone and server as well, I would really like to be able to delete emails from just the ohone, or from both with a delete option/choice.
Is this possible with Android/Z1?
Just to clarify, I don't want to change a setting so it only does one or the other, I want to be given the choice each time I delete emails from my phone.
Otherwise pretty happy with the phone overall.

You can set the phone to not delete any emails from the server from Email -> [menu] -> Settings -> [your account] -> Incoming settings. At the bottom of this menu you have an option for deleting emails from the server.

This is a function of the type of email account you are using, not whether you have it set to push or fetch. POP email accounts cannot sync changes across devices. Having changes such as deleting emails synced to your other devices is a feature of IMAP and Exchange Accounts. POP email accounts won't do this. If you're using a POP account, you'll have to switch to an IMAP account such as iCloud email or Gmail in order to do this.

Also, when I tried to Restore the settings, an Error Message pops up that says " The iPhone software update server could not be contacted. The requested resource was not found.
I'm trying to free up space on my phone by removing [literally] thousands of old photos which were originally synched to the phone, because I had forgotten to uncheck the photos button when I synched it ages ago.
I have also tried synching it on my 24" iMac (running OSX Snow Leopard). But again, when I try restoring the phone through itunes, it says the file is corrupted. It sggests unplugging the device, and then plugging it in again. I have done this numerous times with no success.
I'm guessing it must be because my phone (and versions of iTunes, and OSX) are all too old.
Please can anybody help.

But in terms of my initial query; thanks for responding. But no, this is NOT the cause of the problem. I have auto sync and sync over wifi activated, but have also selected manually manage music and videos. Plus, all of my music and videos are on my macbook, absolutely all of it, so if it my phone was syncing with my macbook everything would still be on the phone. Life would be peachy if my phone jsut copied everything that was on my macbook, but unfortuantely it keeps deleting tracks for no apparent reason.
Any thoughts greatly welcomed, because at the moment i can only conclude that my iphone is crap.

You need to use separate iCloud accounts. This will mean that you can both have your own separate contracts and calendars and put an end to them being deleted by each other.
Whether or not you have a separate iTunes account, is up to you. If you have a separate iTunes accounts you will not be able to access the music, books, apps that have been purchased by the other. This may be exactly what you want, but it also means that you both may end up purchasing the same item.

Same thing happened to me, nothing is working. I've updated everything, restarted everything, nothing seems to work.

My contacts all got deleted from my phone, and was replaced with names and numbers of people I've never met before.

My phone was working as normal, then all of a sudden when I checked my text messages all the names of my contacts got replaced by their actual phone numbers. When I checked my contacts, it looks like everyone got deleted from my phone, and was replaced with names and numbers of people I've never met before. Even when I check my icloud for a backup it has the same issue. I don't know how this is possible and not certain as to how to rectify and get my contacts back.

Blackberry Messenger deleted from my phone and cannot reinstall with upgraded version

There is am icon on my phone requesting I upgrade BB Messenger but when I tried to do it it failed. Now BB messenger has been completely deleted from my phone and cannot reinstall.
I read that new version is for devices of 4.5 and above. Mine is 4.2. What do I do to get messenger back unto my phone?

Why is there no esay way to delete emails on ipad and iphone? Why is there no junk mail setting for ipad and iphone? If there is let me know, if not can I make a suggest that it be developed as an APP. Can't believe this opportunity [problem] has not been address before now. Love to hear comments... or is it just me...

To delete emails you just wipe from right to left on a particular email and you will see the delete button. Or you can you the trash icon on the bottom of the emails to delete it.

Could be all sorts of reasons, Can you give us more details about your setup?
Check to see if the wifi is turned on the the iPad. That would be the first thing I would check.
Next what is the configuration of your network? Do you have a password setup to prevent others from connecting to your network? Any details you can provide will make it easier to figure out where your probem is.

My ipad 3 keeps dropping the wifi connection when my android tablet, android phone, and laptop have never had any issues.

I just got a verizon ipad and am having wifi connection problems. It will connect to my wifi but every 5 or 10 minutes it will drop the connection. The only way to get it back is to go and manually connect to it again in the wifi settings.
Is anyone else having this problem? My android tablet and phone and laptop do not have this problem.

It appears hundreds are having this problem. You must not have done a search for this subject before posting. Try a search for "wifi connection problem on iPad 3" and you'll get lots of information regarding this problem and a few suggestions you can try.
