Deleting emails that keep showing up

is there a way to delete 200 emails that have already been deleted but keep showing up on my iphone?

Is your email account a POP or IMAP server? Where did you delete them from originally?

I recently upgraded from ipad 1 to the new ipad. Somehow all of my old deleted emails (3000 ) keep showing up on my new ipad in clusters of 50. How do I stop this from happening.

I followed that 'How-To' when I did the transfer and watched iTunes process the backup, it also showed the 'Last Backup' date correctly at the bottom of the iTunes Summary screen. I did a restore from backup to my new iPad and on checking the iPad 4 it seemed that the transfer process duly transferred my books, documents, apps etc but did not transfer my photos and videos (they are all clicked to be included in the sync).
I have now clicked on each video title in iTunes and it tells me that it cannot locate any of the videos!
It seems for some bizarre reason that the transfer process has transferred some of the content of my iPad 1 and deleted other content - I don't get it!
I also have the same content (videos and photos) on my iPhone 4 and have connected that to iTunes, whereby it immediately did a backup and sync, however I still get iTunes telling me that it cannot locate the videos ... it's as though the backup that was taken does not exist - or does 'backup' not mean 'backup'?.

My old email has been axed several months ago. I can sign in to my apple id with new email, no problem. When I go to icloud, my iphone wants me to sign in with old account. Tried deleting it but I need a password for a non existant email........oy! Please help!

Two are dated 12/31/69
and one came in today at 8:34pm (This last one has a "2" next to it which may indicate there are two of them?)
There is no trash icon on the screen and there doesn't appear to be ny way to delete them.
How do I delete them?

It's my understanding that an iPhone can only sync with one computer. You need to choose one computer. Sounds like it syncs at work, but not at home. If you want to just sync it at home, then you have to make sure the home computer has all the info that you want on it, like music etc. Then you have to deauthorize the work computer for it to sync at home. When you connect it will ask if you want to set up as a new iPhone or restore from backup. If you don't have a backup on the home computer then either way you will be wiped clean. So any photos, contacts, notes etc you have will be erased. You would need to backup or copy your photos from your iPhone. When you connect it to your home computer, it will give you that popup message to open your iPhone files. Then you can copy those photos and save them onto your computer and sync them back in through iTunes.
For your contacts, do you use any type of address book? If so you'll want to back that up and then transfer to your home computer. For notes, you can just email those to yourself and then save that email. I use MobileMe so the contacts issue is easily resolved.

If you have a recent backup yes. Or, possibly, if you do not use your computer at all (so the hard drive is not written on) and get some recovery software or company to try to see if the file is retrievable (not cheap). Other than that, unfortunately not.

Assuming you're using some IMAP mail service, disconnect from the internet first and quit Mail
Next, click on Finder, choose 'Go' in the menubar and hold down the 'option' key. Choose 'Library' from the menu.
Navigate to
Mail/V2/Mailboxes
In there you'll see some folders called things like IMAP-{yourEmailAddress.com} for each email address you have. In each one there is a Drafts folder. Locate the correct one and delete the file.
Do NOT restart Mail, but open your internet connection, go to your web-based email through your browser and delete the draft from there too.
Now you can restart Mail. Choose 'Rebuild' from the Mailbox menu in the menubar.

How can I delete emails that only appear when I do a spotlight search?

I have a number of emails that are only locatable through a spotlight search which I am unable to delete. They all appear to be unread, although they were read. The only options I have when I bring them up are to "Cancel" or "Send". Choosing "Cancel" brings me to whichever email account I was most recently using. Hitting "Send" does, indeed, send them, but makes them no easier to delete.

The only way to delete them from the Spotlight cache is to totally restore your iPad as new.
Those emails will not show up in the mail app if you tap on then in the spotlight search. They have been removed from the device and will not reopen in the mail app.

Emails application keeps showing unread emails, any way to fix?

I have the problem that lots of us apparently do. My ipad 2 email application keeps saying I have unread emails when I do not. This started after a recent IOS "upgrade". It worked fine before. I've tried marking all the emails as unread, leaving it alone until all the emails have been marked and then marking them all as read. This temporarily fixes the problem. Invariably so far, within a few days of doing this, the application will again show I have unread emails when I do not. Can anyone shed some light on this? I. Don't feel like I should have to pay for support when it's obvious (to me) that this problem is the result of a buggy IOS distro. Thanks for any help anyone can provide!

It's not broken. If it's an IMAP account that's the way it is designed to work. If you don't want that to happen you will have to set up the account as POP3.

My email app keeps showing connecting. It's jammed

My email app on my iPad2 keeps showing connecting at the bottom left of the screen. It is jammed.
This started to happen after my workplace disabled access to the corporate WIFI for all personal iPads. Is there a link to this?

Try searching for the name of one of your videos on the iPad's spotlight search screen - swipe your first homescreen to the right, type in it's name, and if it finds it tap on it to see if it plays.
If that doesn't work then try closing the Videos app completely : from the home screen (i.e.not with the Videos app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Videos app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option if the two above don't work is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

How do I delete objects that only show up in outline view?

I have hidden objects in a file that only show up in the outline view. It will not let me select them and it's making the file larger then it needs to be. Any ideas to be able to get rid of these unwanted objects? Thanks!

There is nothing that is locked and it's only one layer. The normal view shows the ad as I need it but when I switch it to outline view there is a completely different ad stuck behind it, it will not let me select any of it to delete it and its making my file size way larger then needed. I tried to make a new file and move the normal ad over but it takes the entire thing with it. There has to be a way to get rid of that ad that's found its way in there somehow.

unable to permanently delete email messages from my gmail account on my macbook. i go through the process of deleting them and then emptying trash but for some reason they re-appear in my "all mail" gmail folder. i cant get rid of them.
