  • How to delete facebook contacts on mountain lion

I just updated to 10.8.2 which has facebook built in to the operating system. This synced all of my facebook contacts with my mac. I do not want certain facebook contacts in my contacts. Is there any way that I can remove them without unsyncing my facebook with icloud and mountainlion?

Well this can be done by going into system settings and then internet accounts. In the left panel click on your facebook account and then you will see an option to uncheck contacts. This will remove all facebook contacts. Also if you want to delete the one by one, just go into your contacts and delete them one at a time.

  • How do I delete Facebook contacts

I'm trying to get rid of Facebook birthdays and contacts on both my iPhone 4S and ipad.

    Settings>Facebook...turn off contacts.

  • IPhone5 - My contacts were transferred to the 5 with no problem but it also downloaded all of my Facebook contacts.  It won't let me delete them.  How do I get rid of those contacts please?  Thank you.

I cannot remove my Facebook contacts.  Phone list transferred but added all of my FB friends and I don't want them on there.  When I try to delete them it won't let me.  How do I fix this please?

unfortunately, none of these suggestions are working for me. I've even gone to FB to see if there were any topics related to this problem, and nothing. How convenient for them!!!! This is sooo frustrating! My only option would be to delete each contact one by one which could take me all day. this is such bull...

  • Iphone 4 automatically sending nuisance/ viral e-mail messages from my yahoo account to members of my phone/ e-mail/ facebook contact list. What can I do to stop this?

This has occurred on 2 different occassions. In both cases, I can not identify a viral email that I would have opened that could have started this as we are very cautious about opening unknown emails, and definately NEVER double click on links that come through in nuisance/ spam type e-mails.
This morning was the second time that it appears my iphone was somehow involved in automatically sending out a mass nuisance message to all my contacts (phone contacts/ facebook contacts/ yahoo contacts).  The email contained no message - except for a single link to an unknown destination of course since I refuse to dbl click on it to see what I have sent out to my friends.
This is the second time it has happened. I have posted on facebook to all my friends to not open the message. I have deleted ALL my contacts from both my phone and from yahoo contact list. I even deleted facebook and all it's info. from my phone to remove their contact lists. I don't want this to keep happening to my friends. The only thing I haven't deleted is my phone contacts (phone numbers) but I am assuming it may very well happen again since the automatic message was also sent to my phone contacts. (Not sure how that even happens - an auto email to a phone number?)
I have been reading on this site that it is nearly impossible to get a virus on your iphone - however, what other explanation is there? I don't have a PC - I don't have any Windows products in my home. We own 1 ipad and 2 iphones at the moment. I never access my yahoo account from anywhere but my MAC products.  What is happening and how can it be resolved?
    Thanx!

if it's a message coming from your yahoo account, it means that your account has been compromised, not your phone itself. i would suggest changing the password for your email account

  • How to uninstall/delete facebook and related content: Logged in using wrong account

Hi everyone.  Before I had a chance, my wife logged into her facebook account using the facebook app on my Z10.  Now all of her facebook contacts have been imported into my phone as well as all of her notifications appear in the Hub.  I've tried:
    1) logging out of facebook and logging back in, but my phone seem to be permanently connected to her account (I do not have the option of changing accounts)
    2) Searching where these settings are stored on my phone to no avail
    3) uninstalling the facebook app: but her messages still appear in the Hub
    I want to:
    1) Delete all contacts that were inported by facebook
    2) Delete my wife's facebook settings on my phone.
Please help.  This is more than just a bit annoying.

After 1 day, my wife's facebook account finally appeared until settings>accounts, where I was able to delete it.  A few minutes later, my z10 started to cleaned up my contacts list for me.  Strange.

  • HT1296 How can I stop and delete facebook names and phone numbers from my iphone

How can I stop facebook names and phone numbers from being downloaded to my iphone and how can I delete the ones that are already there?

    A better way might be
Settings > Facebook > Contacts > turn off.
There are other Facebook settings you might want to leave on. But I also prefer to turn off Calendar there as well to keep every Facebook friends birthday from clogging up my calendar app.

  • Trying to delete my Contacts Storage using Clear Data button however it's Unavailable

Just recently upgraded to a Droid Razr (been a long time blackberry user) and really just beginning to understand some of the features.  During the initial setup I didn't handle my contacts the way I would have preferred and would like to start over.  From what I can decipher, I should be able to go to Settings>Applications>Storage Use> and then chose "Contacts Storage" to completely delete my contacts via the "Clear Data" button.
However, the "Clear Data" button is grayed out and unavailable.  I've tried using "Force Stop" thinking that if this application currently had the data in an open state then that might be why is was unavailable.  However, it doesn't appear that "Force Stop" ever actually stops the application and it certainly doesn't allow me to chose "Clear Data" afterwards.
Does anyone know how I could either make the "Clear Data" button available or another method to completely remove my contacts?
Some other info that might be helpful:
    Hardware: Droid Razr
    Android Version: 2.3.6
    Data Size: 31.29MB
I do not want to "root" my phone at this time.  If I were going to make a wild guess, I think it could be related to Backup Assistant (same idea that if an application has locked the data, it's not read/writable).  However, I don't see any way in the phone to disable Backup Assistant to test this theory.  Furthermore, I have disabled sync with all other contact services (facebook, linkedin, etc.) so if I can ever delete my contacts... the deletion won't propogate to my original sources.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Take a look at these instructions i Found And you might be able to Get Rid of them by Tapping on the Contacts up on Top then hitting your settings and Tap Manage Contacts that might give you the option there to get Rid of them. You could Export them to your SD CARD Then once in there Format the Card. But a word of Caution if you have an Pictures or Songs in there they will be Wiped as Well..

Even when you text and delete the conversation, it still displays all the texts in the history for that contact, I want that deleted out and there is no way to do it.

  • Facebook contacts still in my contacts list -- please help

I can't prevent Facebook contacts from appearing in my Contacts. I have turned Settings > Facebook > Contacts to off. I do not have any Groups option in my Contact app -- and these are the only solutions I see in these help communities. I'll hate having to manually delete 100s of contacts.

Seems to be; found this while googling (dated Jan 2006):
According to a recent article in the Straits Times, Singapore may gain access to the iTunes Music Store sometime in 2007. Consider that iPod sales over the past year in Singapore increased in the "triple digit percentages" (Apple doesn't release region-specific numbers), and it's clear that Singapore is ready for the iTunes Music Store.
The Times also reports that "reliable sources" have informed them of Apple's intention to open an Apple Store in Singapore on a similar timetable. Good luck, Singapore! We're keeping our fingers crossed for you.

  • Can anyone help me with iPhone 6 and removing Facebook contacts?

I recently got an iPhone 6 and i recently set up a family sharing plan and now all of a sudden all my Facebook contacts are now in my contacts on my phone and I do not want that - they are mostly just email addresses and I manually have the one's I want in my phone already so don't want those Facebook email addresses in my contacts on my phone. When I go to edit them (they have an "F" by the picture) and go to the bottom it doesn't give me the Delete option, only to "link contacts". There are also some others I can delete and not sure where they are pulling from, but I only want the contacts I first set up and not all these extras...how do I get rid of them so it doesn't sync and keep adding them back please? I went under Settings/Contacts but turning that off removes most all my contacts...Please, any help is appreciated.

    Hi Gary Schnetter,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like you may have enabled Contacts in your Facebook settings. You can navigate to Settings > Facebook to see these settings. Please use the attached article to use as a reference for this situation.
