Deleting groups of photos?
I want to delete all of the photos off of my iPhone that I've taken with it. But I don't want to import them either. How do I do this, without having to go through the Camera app and delete them one-by-one? I tried doing it via iPhoto, but iPhoto doesn't seem to let you delete photos off of the camera, save for the options where you "Import, then Delete."
(You're probably saying to yourself, "why not just do that?" Yes, it is an option, and it's probably what I'll do. But I don't get why I'd have to go through the steps of saving them to my Mac, then going through and deleting them, when I simply want them to go away. Furthermore, it trashes my "Last Import" folder, filling it with photos I don't care about when I'd be much happier seeing my last "legitimate" import in that folder.)
Thanks.

The iPhone does not support disk mode and since a situation like yours or someone interested in wanting to do something like this was/is probably considered rare, it wasn't considered as an option with the iPhone but namely with iPhoto or Image Capture.
To prevent having import all photos into iPhoto and deleting from there, launch the Image Capture application.
At Download To:, I couldn't find a way to go directly to the Trash so select Other via the pop-up and create a new folder via the Finder window - on the Desktop. Select Options and then select Delete items from camera after downloading and select OK. Select Download All.
When completed, delete the folder from the Desktop.
You're probably saying it would be faster with iPhoto as is and this doesn't help and maybe so but this is another option if you prefer not using iPhoto for importing and deleting the photos.

I have the same issue. I use my iPad and camera kit to check several trail cameras and I now have 1000s of photos I want to delete. Anyway except to click on each one?
Yes, there's a shortcut which works. Tap&hold on the first one you want to delete, then just start sweeping your finger back and forth in an S-pattern over the rest of the icons, without raising your finger. You can select bunches at a time this way. -
I have a PC and I am not able to download photos a group at a time. It deletes the previous group of photos each time I download new ones.
You need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad in one go - not including photos in a subsequent sync is the way that you delete them from the iPad (as you've found out). To sync multiple photo folders they will need to be directly off the same parent folder so that you can sync them together.

How to delete pictures in photo stream in iPhoto
I have a whole bunch of pictures that I do not want to keep in photo stream in iPhoto on my macbook.
When I select the files I want to delete, it only gives me a quick "white" blank and does not respond. Dragging the photos to the trash can does not work, either.
iPhoto has been my worst nightmare ever since I got my macbook. It is just way too difficult to organize or keep track of my photos. I need to visit this forum every time I need to do the simplest commands like deleting a file or transfering a file.
Please help.Where are you selecting the photos you want to remove from the Photo Stream?

How can I easily remove a group of photos from my iPad
how can I easily remove a group of photos from my iPad?
Iif the photos were synced to the iPad they can only be removed by connecting to iTunes on your computer, unselecting the photos folder that you synced to the iPad and then follow that with a sync.
IF the photos are in the camera roll, open the camera roll album, tap the as select button in the upper right corner, tap on each photo that you want to delete in order to select them and then tap the trash can icon. -
I have a iPhone 5. In usage, it says i have 2.1 gigs used because of photos and camera. I have deleted all my photos via iPhoto and now reset the phone back to factory settings in order to try to solve this problem, to no avail. Both iTunes and the phone say that 2.1 gigs are being used, even though the phone now has nothing on it. What is going on?
Yeah it works fine over wifi the problem is when I try to use it over my 3G. It's really stressing me out now.

My iPad 3 is for school, so I take a ton of notes on notability. I just updated it recently, and I have almost no space. My iPad has a 16 GB capacity, and my usage says I have used up 13.3 GB. I deleted all my photos, all my videos, most of my music, almost all of my notes, and 75% of all my apps. But everyday it seems like there is more space being used up. I don't get it. It's making my iPad shut down randomly and is not letting me take any photos, even though I have no photos!! It is very annoying! Help!

hey iphone an iphone 3g and i only have about 13 apps and the yellow bar on itunes for my phone is way to big i deleted all my photos all my music every thing i ryed restoring ans all it still takes up space for sum reason ?? please someone help me
If Other (the yellow bar) is too big something is corrupted. The only solution (that I know of) is to restore from your most recent backup using iTunes (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766).

If I delete a backup icon for an old iPhone on my iPad will it delete all the photos saved from that phone in my iCloud??
Welcome to the Apple Community.
It won't affect any photos in photo stream but any photos within the back up itself will go. -

How do I delete music and photos from my iCloud account? I've read that you can't. Really? Is that true?
You can delete photo stream photos from iCloud by just deleting them on your iPod. My photo stream photos are automatically deleted from iCloud after 30 days anyway. Just so you are aware, deleting photo stream photos doesn't free up any space in your account as they don't use your personal iCloud account storage.
You can't delete music from iCloud because the music isn't stored in your account; it's stored in the iTunes store. What you are seeing are links to your previously purchased music in the iTuens store, allowing you to redownload them if you want to. You can't remove anything from your list of previous purchases. If you don't want to see these "iTunes in the Cloud" purchases in your song list, go to Settings>iTunes & App Store and turn off Music under Show All. LIke photo stream photos, this music doesn't use any of your personal iCloud account storage.
