Deleting iCal entry on iPhone using iCloud

I've deleted a recurring item on iCal, however it still shows up on my iPhone.  I sync using iCloud.  I tried to delete the item manually, but get no option to delete the item on the iphone.  Any suggestions?

OK this is what I did and it corrected my problem.  On my iphone in iCloud, I turned off Calendars and Deleted 'previously synced iCloud calendars'.  Then I went into iTunes and in the Advanced window in the Info tab, I checked calendars so during the next sync only, iTunes replaced selected info on the iPhone.  When I checked my phone the 'deleted recurring event' was finally gone from my iPhone.

If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  You can now go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your correct iCloud ID and password.
If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to have them reset the password so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account.  You can either go to https://expresslane.apple.com, select "More Products and Services", then "Apple ID", then  on the next page select "Other Apple ID Topics", then "Lost or forgotten Apple ID password" and click "Continue"; or you can contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/).

  • How to delete a song from iphone using "itunes 12"

iTunes 12 & iPhone 5s v8.1, iTunes installed on PC with Windows 7
I need to delete some songs from my iPhone. They are not on any playlist. I see no way to delete them using either iTunes or the iPhone.
How do I delete songs from my iPhone using the iPhone OR iTunes?

I also have this question as well. I've done everything from turning off the "show all music" to turning off icloud. After hours of frustration, I decided to delete all music and just re-download the songs i actually want on my phone. Apple makes everything so much more difficult than it has to be. Next time, I'll try the "throw phone at wall" method.

What different Apple ID? Yours? Your friends? Your dogs... ? I think we are going to need more information. You're probably best setting up the phone as a new phone and restoring from iCloud later on.

  • To import documents from Macbook to iPhone, using iCloud

I wanted to import about 10000 documents (Word and Pages formats, less than 1 Gb) from Macbook to iPhone, using iCloud. After I downloaded about 5000 files and created some folders in Pages, new documents no longer appear in my. I have enough free space in iCloud. What should I do to transfer the remaining files? Is there another way to move my documents?

I moved files from My documents/Macbook to Pages/iCloud/Macbook, then, after appearing in Pages/iCloud/iPhone, I distributed them to folders that I created in Pages/iCloud/iPhone (about 500 files per folder). Firstly transfering (appearing in Pages/iCloud/iPhone) was taking minutes, then - hours, days and now does not happen at all.

  • How do i track all the apps installed on my iphone using icloud

How do i track all the apps installed on my iphone using icloud

I'm not sure what you mean by "track".  Your purchased apps can be viewed on your devices or in iTunes from "iTunes in the Cloud" (and downloaded if desired), as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519.

  • Is there a way to sync my saved user ids and passwords between Mac and iPhone using iCloud?

Is there a way to sync my saved user ids and passwords in Safari between Mac and iPhone using iCloud? Like I can do using Chrome for Mac and iOS...

You three would do better to sync to google directly.  Google has a blackberry app that will allow you to sync your contacts and calendars.  The app isn't perfect, but it works reasonably well, especially if you're just using one calendar to sync.
Then there's plenty of ways to sync those to your iPad using Google, including Exchange, or simply adding it as a google account.
As for iCloud, there really isn't any supported or unsupported method to do what you're trying to do, at least at this time.  If there is, it would definitely be a hack and I would be wary of risking your contact or calendar data on it..

DELETING EMAILS FROM 3G IPHONE USING PERMANENT EMAIL SECURE
DELETE ON LEOPARD 6.6.6? THIS IS AN EXCELLENT OF GETTING RID OF UNWANTED TRASH. APPLE PLEASE TAKE NOTE.

Pop accounts are really designed to access mail on ONE device, and only ONE device at a time. Having said that, do the following:
    * Tap Settings on the iPhone Home screen.
    * Now tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    * Tap the desired account under Accounts.
    * Select Advanced.
    * Now tap Delete from server under Incoming Settings.
    * Select:
o Seven days to have iPhone Mail remove mail from the server a week after it has been downloaded.
o When removed from Inbox to make iPhone Mail delete mail from the server only when you delete it from your iPhone Mail inbox.
o Never to deep copies of all messages on your POP server.
    * Press the Home button, when finished.
Be aware, that an important email's only copy should probably not be on your phone. But, that's the nature of a pop account.

Check to see if they are on your calendar on icloud.com.  If they aren't, all you can do is try to restore to your last backup, although it isn't clear that calendar events are included in the iCloud backup.

  • ICloud is randomly deleting iCal entries

At several points over the past week, I thought my calendar appeared unusually "thinned out". Then last night I noticed an appointment I had been delaying for a while was nowhere to be seen.
At first I thought it may be somewhere on my calendar, a week back or so.  This is because I had been rescheduling that appointment often, so I had moved it back, a day here and a day there, every week for the past month or so. I knew the exact title of the entry so I did a search for it.
It was gone. Apparently deleted. I refreshed everything and even checked my iPad & iPhone calendars for it Nothing...
I blamed myself, re-created the entry, and moved on. At this time I also made several new entries and planned my week. Then today I went back to my calendar on my Mac, opened iCal, saw the appointments for today, that I entered last night, disappear before my very eyes. I then picked up my iPhone to view the calendar there, and they were gone.
Next I picked up my iPad and turned off Wi-Fi as quickly as possible. Once Wi-Fi was disconnected and I was no longer online, I opened iCal and there were my appointments. There were five different instances of appointments scheduled last night that we're now deleted and gone. This is important because it rules out an accidental deletion. I took a screen grab to preserve my data, and went looking for answers. I found none.
I'm freaked out. I live & die by my iCal and I'm worried this has happened before where maybe I didn't notice.
The only recent change I can possibly link to this iCloud synced iCal, is that I allowed an app called FlightTrack Pro to "Sync with iCloud". Which is relatively reassuring, only because it was a fairly new addition, therefore decreasing the likelihood that there were problems in the past. IF its this access causing the deletions.
    Any ideas?

I had the exact same thing happen several times. I too independently concluded that it could only be the updated FlightTrack Pro App feature as you stated. It was the only new thing on my devices.  My Apple tech support expert told me to read your entry. I agree and disabled the 'SYnc with iCloud' feature. But I'm still allowing the 'SYnc with Calendar' option. But if the iCal entries that I just made disappear again, I will then disable that button on FT Pro. A major pain.

  • ICal synch between MacBook and iPhone using iCloud

when I create an event in iCal it synchs to my iPhone via iCloud but, when I create an event in iCal using integration with Mail, the event does not show up on iPhone.

At present you have to upload iWork documents manually to iCloud. It's possible that this may be addressed in a future upgrade either (or both) to iWork and the operating system, though there has been no announcement on this.
Once uploaded from a Mac, you cannot download again until the document has been edited on an iOS device. If you want to keep documents or two Macs in sync you would be better off with Dropbox or SugarSync.

  • Why isn't iCloud pushing iCal entries to iPhone?

I have enabled iCloud on my iPad and new iPhone. When I enter a calendar entry on my iPhone, it syncs with the iPad, but when I enter iCal entries on the iPad, they don't show up on my iPhone calendar. Anyone else experience this? Have I missed something in setup?
    Thanks

THat the previous owners can track me or know where I live through there ICloud accounts, I don't know who they are as my iPad was brought from a 2nd hand
TRader, I cloud seems a bit dodgy to me ?or is there way to stop previous accounts from tracking me ?brought item  legit, so not comfortable knowing strangers could know where I live & when I'm not home with my iPad.
Why don't you erase the iPad, then it will actually be 'yours'

  • Duplicate ical entries after upgrade to icloud

    Hi,
Have no idea why this has happened, but basically I have been syncing using itunes manually via a cable, got the email from Apple to upgrade, went through the process, now its all on icloud, but I have noticed I have dupliate ical entries.
what is the best way to sort this out now?

ok, I just used the app iCal Dupe Deletor and it found 500 dupes, went through and deleted them all
BUT.... when iCal updated to icloud, it just brought them all back from what I can see and they are all there again
whats the best fool-proof way of sorting this?
pleeeease there, so close but yet so far.....

  • TS3988 Failing to receive information from iPhone using iCloud

I have recenlty upgraded my MacBookPro to Lion (10.7.4) and set up iCloud as I have iOS 5 on iPhone. However, I cannot get the information from my iPhone to sync with my computer using iCloud on iCal or Contacts etc, although the reverse does work - ie. from computer to iPhone.   Have checked settings on iphone - all of which are on.  Can anyone please help.

Yes.  If you delete a photo from "My Photo Stream" in your iPhoto LIbrary on your Mac it will be removed from the iCloud server and be removed from all your devices.
Did you have Find My iPhone enabled on your iPhone?  If so go to icloud.com, sign in, go to Find My Phone.  If the phone is on and connected you can eirther lock it or erase it. You an find out more on that in the iPhone fourm as TD suggested.

  • New iCal entries on iPhone wrong default.

According to iTunes, when I add a new event on the iPhone it defaults to "Birthday", which is a calendar I never created. In the preferences I set it back to "Home" but every time I sync, it goes back to "Birthday"!
I already have a read-only calendar called "Birthdays" that's created by Address Book entries. So where is this extra "Birthday" calendar coming from, and why can't I get it to stop defaulting there?

This is a very serious known bug where new calendar entries will always use the last calendar in your list, no matter what iTunes shows. If you have a read-only calendar as your last calendar in your list (e.g., U.S. Holidays or Seattle Seahawks schedule), then the calendar appointment will disappear the next time that read-only calendar is refreshed from its source. That deletion then gets synchronized to your iPhone, and then it's gone!
The simplest workaround is from within iCal, drag Home down to be the last calendar listed. Then it will work, regardless of what iTunes reports.
    Good luck!
