Hello I am a novice i just got this droid phone & in setting up my gmail address i now have an incorrect address for the market and cannot delete the address. How is this done.

This is correct. The only way to remove a Gmail account on an Android device is a Factory data reset. See the steps here.

How do you delete incorrect email addresses from the TO, CC, or BCC fields? Also, once that is done, how do you enter a correct address from the address book (not an incorrect address that the iPad has memorized).
I need very simple step by step instructions that my 80 year old mother can understand when I explain over the phone what needs to be done. I do not have an iPad myself.

I think it was something embarassingly obvious like touch the incorrect address and then the delete button on the keyboard.

I typed an incorrect email address in a new email.
I immediately corrected it, but every time I start typing the address, the incorrect one as well as the correct one appears.
I would like to delete the wrong one as I am worried that on some future occasion I might accidentally choose it.
Can it be deleted? (Note - it is NOT in my Address Book).

Check the list of Previous Recipients in Mail.
At the Mail.app menu bar, go to Window and select Previous Recipients.
A previous recipient already entered in the Address Book will have a vCard icon to the left of the name or email address.
You can remove a previous recipient from the list or add a previous recipient to the Address Book that is not already entered.

I guess you were using the Scan function, scan to a email, not fax(fax to a telephone number..). if you're using scan, can you go to the Scan tab, and if there is an address book there.

I put an incorrect email address in the BCC field of an email. A 'Warning' dropped down where the address was repeated until it fell off the bottom of the screen. No closure button at the top so I can't close it. I can select all the repeat addresses but can't delete them. I can't shut down or restart the computer because Mail can't close. Any ideas, please?

Aha! Pressed escape button and managed finally to close the Warning. Phew! I could then erase several hundred repeats of the mistaken address from the BCC field. Sorry to bother you all. Hellen.

You can't. There is no way to eliminate those remembered addresses in the mail app. Eventually if you keep ignoring that address it will go away, but it can take some time before it disappears. The only way that you can eliminate now, is by restoring the iPad to factory settings and that's pretty radical just to get rid of a mistyped email address - IMO anyway.

It is an invalid address, as when I sent out a testing email, it was bounced as delivery failed.

No there is no way to delete it. The addresses that the mail app "remembers" have nothing to do with what is in the Contacts App. If you mistakenly typed an incorrect email address at one time in the mail app - it is going to continue to come up as a suggestion from now on. There is no way to remove those short of restoring the iPad as a new device.

You can't merge IDs, but if you want to change the ID:
For iMessage, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID sign out, sign back in using the new ID.
For FaceTime, do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.
For Purchasing, do this in Settings>iTunes & App Store.
For iCloud, start by saving your photo stream photos to your camera roll by opening your My Photo Stream album, tap Select, tap all the photos you want to save, tap the share icon (box with upward pointing arrow), then tap Save to Camera Roll. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and provide the password and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted, then sign back in with your new ID and choose Merge to upload your data.

As with the Mail app on a Mac, the iPhone's Mail app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients which is separate from the address book or contacts. The email address autofill feature when addressing an message pulls from Contacts and from the list of previous recipients.
Different from the Mail app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients with iOS on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to remove a previous recipient from the list, or to add a previous recipient to the address book or contacts that is not already entered - not at the present time anyway.
The only way to purge the list of previous recipients at the present time is by restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, which will start being re-populated again with every sent message.

If you change your email, you do not need to "change" your AppleID. Just edit your email(s) on your Apple ID by logging in to your AppleID account. You should always use the same AppleID for Apple Services (iCloud, iTunes etc) and multiple ID will cause problems and confusion in the future.
