Deleting iPhone 4 photo albums

I'm not sure if this is the right discussion area for this but there weren't any other reasonable options. But anyways, I've got an issue that I can't seem to figure out. I have the Verizon iPhone 4 and haven't had issues before but I've got one now.
I use a Mac Mini with my iPhone, so as you know that comes along with using iPhoto. I decided to put all my pictures on my computer and delete them off my iPhone. Well, that worked perfectly but, once I did that, it put a permanent album on my phone of all the pictures I uploaded. I can't delete them, I can't do anything with them. Even when I tried putting them back on iPhoto, it made another album exactly the same. So, 2 albums with the same pictures that cannot be deleted or anything. It's really annoying cause some of these I don't want on my phone anymore.
Sorry if that was a little confusing, I was trying to think of the best way to tell it all. But if anyone else has or is having this issue and can help me, it's much appreciated.
Thanks

Actually, I just figured it out! All you have to do is go into iTunes and when your device is plugged in, click it and go to photos. Then it'll have a check mark beside whatever albums you have on it. Uncheck them all and that's it. None are left on it. Hope this helps whoever else has this issue.

  • How do I delete an entire photo album from iPhone 6

What is the easiest way to delete an entire photo album from iPhone 6

Depends on the album and how it got there.
If it is an album that you sync'd to the device, you would remove it the same way - by hooking up the device to sync, de-selecting the album in the Photos profile screen, and then syncing the device
If it is an album you created, you would need to manually delete the album itself by clicking on Edit from the main display and then clicking on the minus sign to delete the album. This does not delete the photos in the album, however. If you want the photos deleted, you have to select them and then delete them manually.
Camera Roll photos will ask if you want to delete them when you import the Camera Roll to a computer.
Photo Stream photos are either deleted manually, or you can turn off Photo Stream altogether to remove Photo Stream from your device.
    Cheers,

  • Is there any way to delete an unwanted photo album off of my iphone 4s?

Is there any way to delete an unwanted photo album off of my iphone 4s?  My camera roll is how I like it, but I have 2 unwanted album subfolders with 5 photos in each that I'm trying to delete.  There is no trash can.

How can I do that while keeping my original camera roll intact?   When I try to go the sync route, the phone tries to sync with every photo or video stored on my windows based pc.    I can't find a way to isolate those 2 subfolders and delete them.  If they would only have a trash can option like the camera roll has, it would be no problem.

how to delete pictures in photo album?

Where are you selecting the photos you want to remove from the Photo Stream?
This should work:  See: How to delete photos from Photo Stream
On a Mac using iPhoto 9.2.2 or later, or Aperture 3.2.3 or later:
Select a photo or group of photos from the Photo Stream (or My Photo Stream) view in iPhoto or Aperture.
    Press the Delete key.
    Click Delete.

  • How to sync an iphone created photo album with aperture

    hello,
how can I do to sync a iPhone created Photo Album with Aperture?.
First of all, I created a new Photo Album on my iPhone (IOS 5.x), then I want it to sync with Apple Aperture 3, but Aperture created no new Album in the Project Folder. What can I do?
    Best Regards
    Sigi

If the album was placed on the phone by syncing photos from a computer to the phone, the way to remove it is to sync again but this time remove the checkmark in front of "Sync Photos From" on the photos page of iTunes (if you want to remove all previously synced photos) or change the selection of photos in iTunes to be synce. Each time you sync photos using iTunes it sets the non-Camera Roll photos on the phone to match the current settings/photo selection in iTunes.

  • Black images in my iPhone's photo album

    Hello,
When i synced my iPhone with iPhoto on my mac and then deleted the pictures off my iPhone when Iphoto asked, there are now black images in my photo album on my iPhone. How do I get rid of these? I've tried to delete them on my iPhone but that doesn't seem to work.

Were you able to fix this? The same thing is happening to me, my iPhone4 is new, and I had never had this problem with my 3G. It's happening when I move photos into the trash...I'm left with a black image.

  • Iphone 4s photo albums are blank

i can take a photo easy enough but i cant see it when i click on the thumbnail nor will it save to the iphone photo album ....
when i go into the photo album all of my 300 odd photos are gone  ie all photos 0  recently deleted 0  and the message "restoring" is down the bottom of the screen
what has happened and how can i fix this??

I also have this exact same issue and am desperate to figure it out. It's undoubtedly contributing to the battery issue. Check out screenshot below (been like this for 2 days now):

  • Is there a way to transfer all of my photos in my iPhone's Photo Albums and Events to my new macbook?

My MacBook's hardrive failed. My only backup for iPhoto is on my iPhone. I bought a new MacBook Pro and I'd like to restore all the Photo Albums and Events from my iPhone. Is there a 3rd party app that is capable of this?
I downloaded iMacsoft to transfer music, books, etc. But it will only transfer photos in my iPhone's Camera Roll.

Are these photos on your iPhone?  Can you actually see them?  If so, then iCloud should see them as well.  All else fails, plug in the iPhone via a USB cable into the new Mac and iPhoto will launch showing you what photos you can import in.
Again, the old photos in question MUST be on the iPhone (i.e. you at one time sync'd your entire photo library to your iPhone, which to my knowledge also makes it available to the iCloud backup if you have enough room).
No, it is not easy to get synced photos back to the Mac. An iCloud backup does not include the synced photos nor the Photo Stream photos. See:
    iCloud: Backup and restore overview
One way to save the synced photos back to the Mac is to save them to the Camera Roll. This requires extra space on the device and much tapping, because it is not easy to save all photos at once to the Camera Roll. It would be easier with iPhoto iOS. Here you can share the the synced photos to iTunes and then save them using iTunes photo sharing on your Mac. In iPhoto you can select ranges of photos to share - much less tapping required.  See:  http://help.apple.com/iphoto/iphone/2.0/#blnk7d8f763e
Use your photos in any app by saving them to the Camera Roll.
Import photos directly into iPhoto or Aperture on your computer.
Save photos to your computer using iTunes.
Save photos to your computer using iTunes
Connect your iOS device to your computer.
Tap a photo, album, event, web journal, or slideshow and tap > iTunes.
Tap Selected, or change the photos you want to save (if you are saving a slideshow skip to step 4):
Select different photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap one or more photos, and tap Next.
Select a range of photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap Range, tap the first and last photos in the range, and tap Next.
Select all the photos in an album or event: Tap All.
In iTunes, click the button for your device and click Apps at the top of the window.
Below File Sharing, select iPhoto (in Apps).
Select the Shared Photos folder under iPhoto Documents.
Click Save To and select the location on your computer where you want to save the items.
To view your photos, go to the Finder and look in the location you selected above.

  • IPhone 3GS Photo Album Display Images Mixed Up

    Hello,
I've just created a few albums on my PC and organised all my photos accordingly. However, when I sync with my iphone the main album image displayed along with the album name belongs to another album. For instance, if i create 2 albums, one named "Dog" and one named "Cat", these album titles are displayed correctly on the iPhone but I have an image of a cat beside the folder named "Dog".
    hope i make sense?
    thanks,
    Cat

I get this occassionally. A reset of your phone should cure it.
Hold the Sleep and power buttons down until the phone shuts down (ignore the slider)
Then hold the sleep button to power it back up again

Then your only option to remove these photos from your phone is to restore your device as NEW.

  • I've lost "sync" between the photo albums on my iphone and photo albums I have on my PC in folders. (I think I moved the PC folders by mistake) How do I combine them to get them all back on the iphone?

I'm afraid I'll delete one or the other if I don't do it properly.

Assuming you are using iTunes 11.1:
Connect your iPhone to your computer.
In iTunes towards the upper right of your screen you will see the name of your iPhone. Click on it (not the eject symbol.
This will open a series of windows with tabs.
    Select the tab for photos.
Untick the ones you do not want on your iPhone and at the bottom right click on Apply.
    They will be removed.

  • Iphone 6 photo - albums and collections

A few questions about photos on the new iPhone 6.  First, under the collections, what is the perimeters set to organize the photos automatically?   Some of the photos in "collections" have a two week span, then the next section is maybe a 3 mo nth span, then its 11 days, etc.  It appears to be random that iPhoto automatically separates them in collections.   Also, under one of the (automatic) collections, someone sent me a texted photo that was tagged with the location.  That picture is grouped with photos that were unrelated and covered a 3 month span.    Is there a rhyme or reason to it?    Also is there a way to change the way iPhone groups these photos?   If so where and how?  Or is the only way to organize these photos is to add each photo to an album?  That seems kinda of tedious and I would think there is an easy way to do all this that I just don't know about.  Thanks!!

  • Need help with iPhone 5 photo albums

Hi everyone, new here and just got my iPhone 5 yesterday. I have been using apple products for quite some time now so nothing is really all that new too me and I understand a majority of its difficulties although I have reached a road block. Heres the problem:
I have been using my iPod Touch to take photos for a while now and I just recently got the iPhone 5. So I hooked up my iPhone 5 and synced everything and it all went pretty smooth and the only thing wrong is that I have two albums under pictures on my iPhone that contain the exact same photos. They are all pictures that were taken on my iPod Touch that were transferred onto my PC and then I used the folder that contained those images to sync with my iPhone. Now when I sync the folder to my iPhone, there is a "Photo Library" album with 206 pictures then the "iPod" album (the name of the folder on my computer) which also contains the same 206. Any way I can get rid of one of them? I have tried and only succeeded in getting rid of both of the albums nad not just one. Thanks for any and all help! (screen capture of what I am talking about below)

  • Help Deleting Iphone 5C Photo Library

    Hi all,
I have an iPhone 5C and I just noticed today that nearly all of my data is taken up. When I check in settings>General>Usage, It says that I have used 5.7 GB on Photos and Camera. I deleted all of my camera roll pictures and videos and it still says this. I went to iTunes, went to my phone's tab, went to the photos tab, and I had not synced any photos from anywhere. However, it still says that I have 1150 photos from "Photo Library" that I can not seem to delete. Please help me get rid of these photos so I can regain storage on my phone.
    Thanks,
    P

I went to the Apple Store today and fixed the problem.  Apparently it is false memory that is from some glitch while syncing.  Backup your iPhone on your iCloud account, reset your phone to factory settings, then restore your settings from iCloud.
