Deleting junk emails in roadrunner webmail

Time Warner , the provider of roadrunner Internet service, tells me there is no way to delete trashed webmail  emails from my iPad 2.
This sounds absurd to me.  Has anyone else used webmail with roadrunner?

Just curious, but when you touch your mailboxes tab in mail do you see Inboxes and then Accounts below?  If you do see Accounts below, when you touch your Roadrunner mail from the Accounts side, do you not see a Trash folder?

I keep deleting junk emails which date back to the beginning of April and selecting erase all deleted emails in all accounts, but they keep reappearing. What am I doing wrong?

Try re-indexing the mailbox. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

  • How do I permanently delete Junk emails

I delete my junk emails, the next time I start the MacPro I open mail they are back, anyone has the same problem?
I have put in thrash bin and empty the thrash, and they still come back, what gives?

    Weird.
Someone might stop by who has experienced/fixed/read about this before.  In the meantime...
By "re-indexed my email" do you mean you rebuilt the mailbox via the "Rebuild" command in the Mailbox menu?  Did you try that for all the affected mailboxes?
Also, you might try experimenting with the settings in Mail, Preferences, Accounts having to do with whether junk mail messages are stored on the server and whether they are to be deleted.
Does this behavior persist when you are not connected to the internet?

  • I am unable to delete junk emails to the trash?

I cannot get several junk emails to delete from my iPhone 4. Any ideas?

if they are work account emails, try from your work computer. Exchange emails are stored on a server your device communicates to as opposed to the device itself
if its not, try deleting and re-adding the acount.

  • How do I delete junk email from my Mac pro ?

HHow can I delete the junk emails from my Mac Pro ? And to delete all of them please

Not with a Classic operating system.     Mac OS X Mail has built-in Junk mail filtering.      It isn't the greatest in the world, but it works.      Here's how:
Mail (Mountain Lion): Change the junk mail filter
Without an actual description of your operating system, it is impossible to give you the exact article for your system.  Go to Apple menu -> About This Mac, and post in the correct forum:

  • Deleting junk email

When using the drop down 'mailbox' menu, I use the 'erase junk mail' choice. It also shows the shortcut command with sort of a backslash type symbol witha line connected to the top and bottom, then the control button and J. What is the first symbol for? I have no idea. Thanks!
And......how do I get my junk email to just delete by itself when I close out mail?

  • Help with deleting junk email

Can anyone please help with a problem I'm having with icloud email. I have a number (not all) of messages in junk mail and no matter what I do I can't seem to delete them. I delete them, they are gone, but when I come back they are back again but any other messages I might have deleted at the same time are deleted.

    Open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Mail then reselect it.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync your Mail.

  • About a dozen deleted junk emails from July keep reappearing---how do I lose them for good?

    I can't seem to lose these...and I don't know why!

Thanks for at least thinking about this----yes....they are definitely the same email and same addresses. It's weird because they are from July and that's all, about a dozen.

If you suspect they are being marked as junk and deleted, turn off the auto-delete. Being that Office is a Microsoft product, you should ask them how to do that: http://www.microsoft.com/mac.

  • I received a "junk" email that I attempted to dispose of by sending it to "trash" and then deleting it from "trash". At that point, instead of deleting, it simply rotates back into "junk"--and over and over. How do I delete this unwanted email?

I received a  "junk" email and attempted to dispose of it by sending it to "trash" and the deleting it from the trash file (the way I always do). This particular spam, however, instead simply rotates back into the "junk" file-- ad infinatum. How do I eliminate tis unwanted pest?

Try logging on to your email via the web browser (assuming the email account is gmail, yahoo, etc) and deleting the email from there. It could just be that the email program on the iPad is not properly synching with the web server so the email keeps re-downloading.

  • I sometimes have over 1000 junk emails clogging my phone.  I would like to know if there is a way to 'select all' in order to delete them.  Deleting emails often takes me ungodly time.

Please let me know if there is a way to select all emails and delete them.  Selecting, scrolling, selecting and scrolling is tedious when you have 1000-2000 junk emails to wade through.

At the top of this page, click your name, where yours says "Welcome, linda166":
Click the link "Manage email notifications":
Click the checkbox at the upper right - to the right of where it says "Date" - this selects all of the messages on the page:
Click the button "Remove selected notifications":
Click "Next" and repeat for each page. You may have less than 213 pages.

  • How do I delete mass junk emails?

It seems to me that when I recieve a large quantity of junk emails to my Outlook via my Iphone 5 I shouldn't have to individually mark each one before I can trash them. I should be able to select all and then unmark the ones I want to save.
The guys at the Apple store say there's no way around it, why is that?
They told me to open the emails and scroll to the bottom and unsubscribe! I would be there for years! After a long weekend I could have 800 junk emails. I have had my IT guy set stricter softwate to my Outlook but then some of my customers get bounced out. Any Ideas????

Because Apple hasn't included that feature.  That's why.
