Deleting Keyfield from DSO

Hi Friends,
I have created a DSO with some key field selections now i want to delete one of the key field from the list. But when i drag it back i don't get any opetion to remove it from the list. I need to remove that field to load the data into this DSO. Can any one please help me how to remove this field.

Hi Srikrishna,
In order to remove infoobjects from the DSO definition, the DSO contents must be empty.

We have Netweaver 7.30 with BW on hana on SP 9.
First 3 SAP notes doesn't meets the need.
Shall I use 1007717 note?
Which says:
use transaction SE16 to delete all entries for this request and for this Operational Data Store (ODS) object from the RSICCONT, RSMONICDP, RSODSACTUPDTYPE and RSODSACTREQ tables. Then set the 'from-date' in the administration of the data target to a value older than the oldest request loaded in this ODS object. Choose 'Refresh'. This corrects the administration.
Will it resolves the problem?

Recover deleted requests from DSO

Hello BI Experts,
We have been deleted requests from standard DSO accidentally. The data has been deleleted for 3yrs and we have been trying to recover from Reconstruction tab but could not found anything there.
Can any body tell me how to recover recover deleted requests from DSO? I would really appreciate your great help.

HI BI Experts,
When we personalize Query language to another language in the SAP Portal, the variable selection fields are not displaying with description and they are displaying in the technical name.
Example: Opened BI report from the SAP Portal and selected Personalized settings, from there selected Portal language as French. when I selected French language, the vaiable selection screen field names started appearing with technical field name in the French language but it should display the field description not the technical name.
I hope you understand my question.
End user does not understand the technical names when they have selected personal language. Can any body tell me how can the fields displays with description from the variable selection screen. I would really apprecite your help.

Delete data from DSO only with a part of the key

Hi experts,
I have a DSO with 9 key fields and i want to delete some entrys. Our source system only provides 2 fields of the key. My problem is, that the BI is not able to delete from DSO unless I have the full key.
Now I want to get the rest of the key fields from the active table of the DSO. Can sombody help me please with the ABAP Code? Or is there another possibility?
I already found this thred in SDN but this is for BW 3.5:

Ralf,
the thread pointed out by you is for passing deletion entries to the DSO / target using the deletion entries .. namely recordmode = D.
Are you looking at deleting data from the DSO as a one time activity or you want to handle the same using a start / end routine ...? and pass deletion entries to other data targets which get the data from this DSO ?

          I would like to know whether Deleting Complete data from InfoCube(0FI_GL_C10)/DSO(0FIGL_O10) & then doing Fresh init-Update from the Source-Systems(We have two) would create any problems.
If there isn't going to be any problem apart from the time, Please explain the Procedure?

        Thanks for the replies.
        The reason I wanted to delete the entire data was because by accident someone had deleted the Initial source-system
assignments for one SS(We have two SS; the other one is working properly). So i have decided not to delete the entire data from the Data-Targets(0FIGL_O10 & 0FIGL_C10) as the data from other SS is working properly.
       Data has been loaded only once(Init-Update) from the SS in which i am having the problem. However it was Loaded a long way back & has been data-marted to the InfoCube. Moreover, Init-Load is still present in the PSA.
      1. I want to know whether reloading the PSA(Init-load) data to ODS is going to reassign the Initial SS assignment.
           A) If yes, Do i need to first delete the Init-Data Request from the DSO(which has been data-marted) & from the InfoCube
                  as well. and do i need to change the Requests from Green to Red(In both IC & DSO).
           B) If No, then what am i supposed to do?

"Transfer structure does not exist" while deleting data from a DSO

Hello experts,
while deleting data from a DSO I get the following messages:
@5B\QInformation@     Database table /BIC/AAKIVO1400 was deleted and recreated
@5C\QError@     Transfer structure does not exist
When I try it twice process works without any problems. I get then the following msgs:
@5B\QInformation@     InfoCube / DataStore object "AKIVO14" contains no data (yet)
@5B\QInformation@     Database table /BIC/AAKIVO1400 was deleted and recreated
So I think the first deletion works but ended with errors. What could be the reason?

Please check if data from new and chage log table is also deleted.
For the error message : Do you have 3.5 flow ? Check your transfer structure , if it is active and then again try to right click and delete data from DSO.

Unable to load data from DSO to Cube

Good morning all,
I was trying to load data from DSO to Cube for validation. Before loading the new data, I deleted all from DSO and Cube. They contain no request at all. Cube has "Delta Update". First DSO was loaded 138,300 records successfully. Then Activated the DSO. The last when I clicked Exectue (DSO --> Cube), it loaded 0 record. I was able to load the data yesterday. What might be the reasons for this situation?

Hi BI User,
For loading delta upload into the data target, there should be an initialization request in the data target with same selection criteria.
So..first do the initialization and perform delta upload into the cube.

Issue while loading of data from DSO to InfoCube

Hi Experts,
Can you tell me what might root casue if data is coming into DSO from R3 its correct and fine as required but while loading it to InfoCube from DSO its showing wrong data like some of Line Items that were closed were shown open in Cube AND also KF values were not right
Also there is no Routine code involved b/w DSO and InfoCube.

Hope you didnt delete some req from DSO without deleting change log . This might cause inconsistency.
If so , delete data from dso by right click delete data and reload .

Errror while loading data from dso to info cube....

Hi All,
When i am running dtp from dso to cube i get a error i.e :
1. Data package processing terminated
     Message no. RSBK229
2. 'Processed with Errors'
     Message no. RSBK257
3. Error while updating to target 0FIGL_C10 (type INFOCUBE)
    Message no. RSBK241.
     So these are the errors i am getting , i am new to BI so how could i solve this errors....
     All the transformation are active with no errors.

Now i deleted data from dso and data source and again run the dtp,
this time i got data from data-source to dso but , when i am running dtp between dso and cube , i am not finding an error.
Now when i go to cube and see the data the request has came but data has not transferred .....
The Request Status is green in cube but data is not cuming....

Error while deleting data from a write optimized DSO using a Process Chain?

How to delete a single request from DSO in BI 7.0

Dear Experts,
Could you please tell me how to delete a single request from DSO?
I mean, in DSO if we delete one request it also delete the requests which are above it. But i don't to delete the above it.

IN DSO--its a very basic thing....
ACTIVE TABLE and CHANGELOG tables are overwritten after activation of each request.
So ,each new request has a realationsip with the older request.
So in the cases:
1.If you activate the older request it will delete the new one ,because changelog entries have been written from the data of new request on the basis of the older one.
e.g older request entries:
a x 1
new request
a x 2
change log
a x 1
a x -1
a x 2
so its quite obvious you can't have a x 2 directly (because in the infocube you will be sending wrong entries by deleting the just the older request and loadning new request).
2.If you have activate new and old request toghterh then also system will not allow you to delete the newer request alone and you will have to delete both the requests.
I guess already someone proposed correct solution to you ...thats selective deletion...but rahter than doing selective deletion there is a better way if you want to cancel out a particular request:
thats request reverst posting
IN the process monitor of any particular request you can find out the option for request reverse posting..Its good for individual request cancellation(keyfig values will become 0 for that particular request)

How to delete data from a DSO using start or end routine

Is it possible to delete records from a DSO in the start or end routine.
My example: I have order 123, item 10, sched line 1. This gets loaded into the DSO.
Next day I have order 123, item 10, sched line 2 coming in.
I want to delete the first one (with sched line 1) from the DSO and load the second one (with sched line 2).
Can code be put in the start or end routine to do this?

unless I can do it within the start routine I don't want to have to create new records.
In the start routine I am comparing records coming in with what are already in the DSO. If there is a match on order and item and the sched line is different, then I want to delete the record from the DSO and load the new one. Is there code that I can put in a start routine to accomplish this?

Unable to delete request from write-optimized DSO (Error during rollback)

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to delete a delta request from a Write-Optimized DSO. This request was uploaded with a DTP from another Write-optimized DSO.
The actual overall status of the request is RED and the description of that status is now: 'Error during rollback of request DTPR_4JW6NLSVDUNYY3GTD6F4DQJWR; only rollback allowed'.
I checked the log of all Request Operations in DataStore (from the same line where the red request is now) and I see my several attemps to delete this request under a RED radiobutton with the title Rollback. The details for this error are the following:

The system could not delete the request data from the active table of a write-optimized DataStore object.

Error while deleting the data from DSO

I am getting the ABAP Dumps when I am trying to delete the data from the DSO Objects in my Systems.
"    An entry was to be entered into the table
     "\FUNCTION=RSAR_ODS_GET\DATA=L_TH_ISOSMAP" (which should have
    had a unique table key (UNIQUE KEY)).
    However, there already existed a line with an identical key.
The insert-operation could have ocurred as a result of an INSERT- or
    MOVE command, or in conjunction with a SELECT ... INTO.
The statement "INSERT INITIAL LINE ..." cannot be used to insert several
     initial lines into a table with a unique key.     "
I have tried with multiple DSO's and Have the same issue. Please need your suggestions.

I think in the ODS setting Unique Data Records checkbox is ticked........if so.........The DataStore object can be used for loading unique data records...........If the loaded request does contain data that is already in the DataStore object, activation of the request will lead to an error.
Find the request in SE16>>RSICCONT table .........and try to delete there....it may work........

Problem in deleting a request from Dso

Hi Experts,
I have loaded the request into DSO, after activation, i have changed the QM status to red and try to delete it from the manage screen. But it is not getting deleted from DSO.
I have used following tables :
RSREQDONE
RSICCONNT
RSODSACTREQ
For deletion purpose, but i'm not provided with authorization ..
And also i have used FM to delete the request from DSO , but it also failed ..

Hi,
Please check if your DSO is locked by any other process. You can check the lock status from SM12. If your DSO is locked by some other process, you will have to wait till that process finishes or kill the process if it is not required so that your DSO will be unlocked. Once your DSO is unlocked you can retry activation. If this doesn't work, please check if you have the authorization to delete data. after trying to delete the DSO you can run the transaction SU53 to see if there is any authorization failure.
