Deleting Layout.........

Hi friends, I had created a layout in report selecting the required fields,now i want to delete that layout but there is no option to delete layout, So plese tell me how to do the same,

Hi Brijesh,
do you mean ALV-Layout? Goto in Listoutput to
SETTINGS->LAYOUT->LAYOUTMANAGEMENT and delete the layout.
If you not mean ALV, please explain it a little bit more.

PLD "Delete Layout" is grayed out

I opened an existing template in PLD. I then went to the menu Print Layout Designer > Save As and gave the templete a new name.
I want to now delete the template but under the menu Print Layout Designer > Delete Layout it is greyed out and not selectable.
How do I delete this template? It is not a system template which are not Deleteable.

It was set as a default for all my BPs.

Can anybody tell me how to delete created by users in CRM .
Actually there are some layouts created in out CRM system in CICO tcode which needs to be deleted .
But we are unable to find the delete layout opton in CICO tcode

Dont know much abt CRM & CICO,,
Try this option...
GO to SE80 for ur transaction..
It will display all the screens for CICO..
Expand on Screen, it displays all screens..
Select ur User Screen..Right Click and choose delete...

As we have transaction SHD0 to Create or Delete Transaction and Screen variants. Do we have any transaction to delete layout variant in ALV?

Services deleting layout breaks

First off, Pages does not show services in the contextual menu as advertised for Snow Leopard. The services show up in TextEdit when text is selected, but not in Pages. (Except for a few that must be connected by some different mechanism, as they don't show in TextEdit but do show in Pages.) Baffling.
Secondly, when I use a text service via the Pages > Services route, if the text I have selected includes a layout or page break, the breaks are deleted. If the service involves any kind of text substitution, even if it's just "smarten quotes", it will delete all breaks. I have tried both TextSoap and WordServices with same result.
I can work around this by selecting only the text between breaks to run services on, but that means making dozens of manual selections in a document instead of CMD-A, AND I have to go to the Pages > Services menu every time instead of using a right-click popup. Tedious. (Yes, I could assign keyboard shortcuts, but I would never remember them.)
I guess this is feedback, not a question, since I don't really expect anyone knows how to make Pages play nicely with Services. If anybody else is frustrated with this problem, feel free to chime in.

Snow Leopard changed the behavior of Services.
Only those which you choose to display are displayed.
The choice is made from the menu
Services > Services preferences.
I installed some components of WordServices.
This new scheme is really interesting which allow us to work with a Services menu with a reasonable number of items.
As far as I know, Services where never reachable thru ctrl-click (aka right-click).
_Go to "Provide Pages Feedback" in the "Pages" menu_, describe what you wish.
Then, cross your fingers, and wait _at least_ for iWork'10

CJI3 - Save and delete layouts...

Hi... I need to save a layout under cji3. I have two queries:
i) How to save and set it to default?
ii) How to delete it once I have saved it? Having done this, is it possible to have any of the existing ones as default...

Hi,
in the same way as in many other applications.
If you have the layout on the screen tick the button "save layout" (or go to "settings / layout / save). Enter a layout name + description. If you flag the layout as "user-specific", it only appears for the user who created it, if you flag the layout as "default-setting" it is defaulted.
To delete a layout go again to "Settings / layout / manage" mark the layout to be deleted and delete it. By double-clicking the field "default-setting" you can determine another layout as default layout.
All these options can be restricted by authorization concept...

So the pulldown menu won't be visible on the header of the ALV screen?

I have a pdf document in which every field that has changed is marked in red. I extract XML from it, change one field and import the data into the same pdf document. After that all fields that were red before are not anymore.
Code example:

Deleteing / Saving Query Print Layouts ..

I recently upgraded to PL15 and after creating a Query Report Layout, discovered that not only could I not make a change and save the change without saving the form under another name, but that I could not delete the origional Report Layout. Also, any Query Report Layouts created BEFORE the upgrade, I can not delete. Am I missing something here? Any ideas or anyone else experiencing the same issue? We created a Query Report with sensitive data we would like to delete.

How are you trying to delete the layout / query ?
Please explain the steps.
To delete a layout open the QPLD ..from the Reports Tab of the QPLD selection screen. go to Print Layout Design menu on the top and select delete layout.

Print Layout Designer - Deleteing unwanted Layouts - 2007A

Is there a problem with Deleteing layout templetes in 2007A.
We had no problems with deleting templetes in 2005. Now that we upgraded to 2007A we have the following problem.
We can not "DELETE LAYOUT" of unwanted templetes.. the option is grayed out on the menu. I've read the posts that suggest an update querry, but I find it hard that a update querry is the rsccomended fix. This problem is compounding since we must save any and all revisions to Layout Templetes under new names
Is this a problem in SAP 2007A?
Is it solved in a patch?

Remove delete option from button 'Layout' ALV grid

The ALV grid displays the button to change the layout (global/user specific).
The user can create his/her own layout variant or change it. However, I would like to hide/remove the option 'Delete layout' from the possible options.
Is this possible?

Since Layout DELETE button is part of another program, you can't simply exclude it from your ALV grid display.
But, I suppose that layout deletion is possible only from the menu bar using 'Layout Management' and is not possible from the Application toolbar buttons of ALV grid. Also, all other functionalities for layout (new creation, change layout etc ) are possible without using this 'Layout Management' option from menu bar.
So, I think you can meet your requirement hiding the 'Layout Management' option itself simply by excluding it from the grid.
gs_excluding-fcode = '&ERW'.

FCP X freezes "Restoring the window layout"

Hello everybody,
I downloaded Final Cut Pro X, and at startup, the software freezes, showing "Restoring the window layout". I tried all the solutions indicated on the web, nothing works... (deleting preferences, deleting layout, using PreferecencesManger...)
Please help!
My computer is a Macbook Pro 15'' Mac Os 10.6.8

Well, this is one of those situationewhere deleting the preference file would actually be useful, because that is one of the things stored there - but you alreday did that...
Are you still on 10.6? Your profile says so.. although it has to be 10.6.8 then.. as FCPX does not run on previous versions.
Do you by any chance have a Window Manager or extension installed??

Issue of layouts in COOIS

Hi,
Recently we faced problem of layouts in transaction COOIS.
Our users use transaction COOIS to see various production reports.
Managers prepare the global layouts and inform users to use
those layouts to see daily reports. In last month someone / somehow,
deleted most of the global layouts.
We followed up with Basis team to find out, how layouts deleted. But it
is not possible for Basis team to find it, because if someone delete
layouts, system will delete entries forever by table LTDX.
We have checked table LTDX. We can see created and changed layouts in
this table. But we are not able see DELETED layouts in this table.
We tried the option of user specific layouts. But another users can not
use those layouts.
Our basis team informed that, layout don't have authorization group.
Is it possible to restrict user from creating and deleting any layouts
using authorizations?
We want to provide authorization to certain users for maintaining and
deleting layouts.
If someone delete any layout, we want to know, who deleted it? Is it
possible?

dear friend,
you would create a new role(s) which based on authorization object like (for example) C_RMST_LAY (managing output layouts) or EASYDM_LAY (define user-independent layouts) or E_CACS_ALV (save authorization for global ALV layouts)
or others - please use security info-system to find them out
(please work with basis/security guys)
set this new role to test user and play...
the main idea - users only able to create their own layouts
super users (like you) are able to create/change/delete any layouts - globals as well

Restoring window layout hanging.

deleted layout folder.
checked appnap.
fcp launched in the background but useless.
Lot's of work to do took me an hour to get this far.
Anyone had the same issue?

Most times trashing the Layouts folder fixes this problem.
Also, repair permissions in Disk Utility and trash preferences with Preference Manager.
If that doesn't do the job, see if it will launch from a new user. If it does not, I'd say it's time to reinstall.
