Deleting Limit Items on PO even though follow on documents exist

Dear SRM Experts
I am hoping someone can explain the below behaviour:
Where PO's have follows on documents i.e. confirmation and /or invoice you cannot delete PO's items on a PO. This makes sense.
However we also have PO's with Limit items(created via limit type shopping carts) and even though the PO's have been confirmed and invoiced we can still delete the items on the PO. Is this standard behavior or a bug?
Why then can you not delete normal items but can delete limit type items where follow on documents have been posted for a PO?

Which SRM version are you using ?
Incase of Limit Items, it is a bug.
We have raised a similar issue with SAP some time back and still waiting for SAP to get back on this.

Reader doesn’t create pdf files. You can use Acrobat (ask in that forum) to create pdfs. You can subscribe to the Adobe PDF Pack which has a create pdf functionality (please ask in that forum), or you can use a third party utility such as ghostscript, cutepdf, or Microsoft’s own PDF creation capability. For third party pdf creation you will need to ask in a forum dedicated to that software as fellow users of Reader are unlikely to have the knowledge to help.

The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.
Additionally, your 24 hours don't start until you begin to watch the movie, you have 30 days to start watching the movie.

Deleted limit item not transferring to backend PO

Hi,
I have created Shopping cart of service line item and approved, after that i have added limit item and approved the order,
Now i dont want that limit item, i have deleted the limit line item.
the problem is in the SRM PO the value is decresed but in backend it shwing both the prices,
and one more thing is in the backend i can see only one line item having both service item and limit item as in the srm two line items exists,
now the user is asking after deleting the limit item in the SRM in the backend why it is not showing only undeleted price in the Po netprice, as in srm the PO price is as per the required.
Please suggest is this std setting or what to do ..

For limit cart you need to create a seperate cart. It will not mix with any other cart.

SC Item in Transfer process active - follow on document status not updated

Hi Gurus,
    Follow on document is not updated in SRM after PO creation. Ours is classic scenario (SRM 5.5, ECC6.0) and passed thru the following steps - SC (FFT) created, document approved, sent to SoCo, purchaser assigned vendor and created PO, PO created in ECC.
In SRM SoCo screen displays message 'PO created 45xxxxxxxxxx' successfully. Checked the BE PO 45xxxxxxx that was created successfully.
Ran BBP_GET_STATUS_2 and CLEAN_REQREQ_UP jobs. jobs finished successfully. But status is not updated in SRM. RZ20/SLG1 does not have any errors.
BBP_PD shows following statuses:
     I105   Awaiting Approval         X
     I1021 Created
     I1038 Complete
     I1106 SC ordered
     I1129 Approved
     I1111 Item in Transfer process
                    The last status I1111 is still active.
Any advise are welcome. Not sure if I am missing any OSS Notes.

Hi,
1. Check in table BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB if the entry exists use CLEAN_REQREQ_UP program.
2. If entry in the table not exists then check in transaction BBP_PD if the follow on document ( PO ) Number reserved for
the SC .. then use FM BBP_PD_SC_RESUBMIT.
3. none of these use normal process execute BBP_REQREQ_TRANSFER And then use CLEAN_REQREQ_UP

Item using source, even though it's supposed to be only when null.

I have an interactive report on one page. When I click on the edit icon for a row, it successfully sets the value for the address id on the following page to the appropriate value from the row, let's say 8429.
On the following page, there is an item, P31_XADDRESS. If it is a new address, then the session value should be null, so it populates it by a SQL Query. This source is set to be used Only when current value in session state is null.
Session state is not null, it is 8429. However, P31_XADDRESS is using the SQL query anyway, thus creating a new number, let's say 8430.
Any idea why this is happening, or how to fix it?

Well, your question led me to the answer to my question. Turns out that there are two similar fields, P31_ADDRESS_ID and P31_XADDRESSID. I changed the link column to set both of them to #ADDRESS_ID#, and the problem seems to be resolved.

TS2647 My keynote files keeps saving my document as a package even though "Save new documents as packages" is not selected. I also do not have Stuffit Expander on my system. Any ideas why this is happening?

My Keynote file is NOT creating a single file but creating a folder with all the decks files.

OK, restart in Safe Mode, this will clear some caches. It's possible one or more is corrupt. To restart in Safe Mode when you hear the start up tone hold down the Shift Key until you see a progress bar. Let it fully boot then restart normally and test.
Also I am assuming you have checked Finder - Preferences - General and see what boxes are checked in "Show these items on desktop." You can also mount an item in Disk Utility, simply highlight it and then look in the File menu for Mount.....

Outside in Viewer resets the page number to 1 always, even though the Word document has page numbering starting from different value.

I've a Word Document with page header having page number inserted.However the page numbers have been formatted to start from a value other than 1.
E.g. For a given word document, navigate to "File -> Insert -> Page number-> format page number -> start at " and set the value to say "300". Now insert page numbers, so that the page numbering of the 1st page starts from 300.
When this document is viewed using Outside-in Viewer, the page number of the 1st page always shows 1 instead of showing 300 (though this is not being reset/changed within the actual document)
I'm using Outside in 8.1.9 SDK for the same. Is there an API to set the page number correct (exactly what has been set within the original document) while viewing...
Alternatively confirm if this is a limitation within the Outside-in Viewer.

You're going to need to open an SR to Outside In Support, Product ID 2276.
Make sure you attach an example Word doc to the SR.

DPS Web method returns success even though printer does not exist

Hi,
I am using the Document Print Services Web Services to print documents in AutoVue. If I pass the VueBeanWS.print a printer on my network, it prints just fine as one would expect. But if I pass an invalid printer the return string from the .print method also says it printed successfully. Is this expected behaviour?
FYI: I am using c# .net 2.0.

I have confirmed that passing a printer name of \\nonexistant\nonexistant will tell me it printed successfully, passing it a \\realserver\realprint1 or \\realserver\realprint2 will print and it says printed successfully.
\\realserver is an actual print server
and
\\realprintx is an actual printer.
\\nonexistant does not really exist and I still get a successful print.
Is there a way I can tell Autovue to fail a job that has a bad or nonexistent printer? Is there a configuration option I need to set or not set?
BTW: I have tried this with both C# .net 2.0 AND java netbeans. In both cases I get the same behaviour a valid string or printed successfully returned from the print method and no exception thrown.

Possible to delete SC item after PO creation?

We use Extended classic. I need a piece of info.
I am able to delete the SC item after PO creation..! Is it allowed as per general business scenario. Is it possible to delete SC items after PO creation?
How to curb this?

Hello,
As per standard design, it is possible to delete a shopping cart if only
one follow-on document exists. For example, a purchase order or a
purchase requisition.
When you delete the shopping cart in EBP, the deletion indicator will
be set in the purchase order.
You cannot delete the shopping cart if the follow-on document has other
follow-on documents, like confirmation or invoice.
The following is the standard behaviour for SC/limit SC deletion:
SC -> PO : deletion possible
SC -> PReq: deletion possible
SC -> PReq + PO: deletion NOT possible
SC -> PO + CF: deletion NOT possible
SC -> PReq + PO + CF: deletion NOT possible
SC -> PO + CF + INV: deletion NOT possible
SC -> PReq + PO + CF + INV: deletion NOT possible
Standard logic: in general SC does not prevent the deletion of SC items
just because of existence of follow-on documents.
The SC item itself does not know if the deletion is possible.
It just tries to delete the corresponding item of follow-on document.
If this deletion has been successful, then also the SC item can
and will be deleted. If the deletion of follow-on document item has
failed, the SC item deletion is not possible.
So it is a task of follow-on document to know if its items can be
deleted or not.

ECC 6. was able to delete records even though it has dependent records ....

Was able to delete entries from master table even though I have entries in detail table. I defined foreign key in detail table field refering to master table field. I am working on ECC6.0. Does any body got same problem ?

You have a master table : For eg: Code Type
with some values
like
Fields:CODE_TYPE(Primary key *)                CODE_DESC
          ENCL                                      Enclosure
          NACO                                      Nature of concern
          PORT                                      Port code
Another detail table with
Fields:
CODTYP(#) CODE ()      CODDESC
ENCL           2             Insurance Certificate
ENCL           3            Quality Certificate
ENCL           4            SAARC Preferential Trade Agreement
Fields CODTYP also has foreign key(#) reference
to first table Code type(Check table)
You deleted CODE_TYPE: ENCL from the first table: Code Type
The system will allow this type of deletion.
But when you try to add a new entry with codtyp = 'ENCL'
Next time it will raise error message saying that value doesnot exit in check table.
If you want to have a check whether its used in details table at master table entry deletion time, you may have to write some extra form in deletion event in TMG.

Text messages disappear from 1 sender before I can read but app still shows as unread even though there is no message

I have an iphone 5. When I receive text messages from 1 person (another iphone user) I receive the alert but the message disappears. Also my imessage app shows I have an unread message but the message is not there. I can send text messages to this person but imessages will not work. I am wondering if the issues in on my phone or the other persons. I have no other issues with any other contacts and according the to other person they have no other issues. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same thing happen today. The solution seemed to be to open a few of my most recent text messages and manually delete some of them. Even though, those messages were already marked as read.
It worked for me and the count cleared. Hope this helps!

Even though the function startUp exists in the .so file. The signature matches that in the header file exactly and the function is implemented. I just don't get it.

Make it sure that you obtained a fully-qualified method name - there are lots of ways to get "javah" give you wrong names - so, if your functions is, say, in package com.mypack, class name is Myclass and method name is mymethod - be sure you have a C-mthod name something like:
Java_com_mypack_Myclass_mymethod (...) - if you see any discrepency, that's the reason of your problems.
If you don't manage to get right method name using javah, you may type it yourself - now I almost don't use javah, but just make these headers "by hands" - it's faster.
Additionally, me personally didn't manage to run any method using "old" variant of native calls - that uses "stubs" on new JDK1.3x. So, make sure you don'r use "-old" parameter or old headers, generated by JDK 1.1 or so.

Follow on Document not created for the Purchase Request.

I can able to create a purchase request for the material with quantiy equal to or more than 16. If I create a purchase request for the same material with quantity less than 16., Follow-on Document not getting created. I checked the transaction BBP_PD, it does not show other status like Shopping card ordered , approved, Items in Transfer Process and Follow-on Document created. Any Reason for this.?
