Deleting main adminin and trasfering its files to a new one
I purchased a used macbook pro. Everything is great, i love it except the old user of this computer did not re-format the computer. The reason he didn't is because he has many nifty programs such as Final Cut Pro, PS, Ai, Id, DW and he wanted me to have them. Basically everything branded on this computer is still under the old user name (Javier). I.E.- "Javier's macbook pro"
How can I delete his admin and make myself the only admin of this computer without losing any programs he had on his account? Can I transfer these programs to a new admin account? I heard something about booting the computer up with start-up disc and holding down a letter on the keyboard? I NEED HELP!!
It would be much easier to rename the admin account and change the password. See this article: Macworld | Changing the short username in Leopard.
Open the Sharing preferences where you can change the Computer Name.

Thanks!The Apple Store is not the same as the Mac App Store, which is what I think KarenSelena is referring to when she says "Apps store." So, the question is, did you buy a retail box or a license for a downloaded trial of iWork '09 or did you buy the individual apps from the Mac App Store?
If you did buy Pages from the Mac App Store you can go to the "purchases" section of the App Store.app & download it again using the same Apple ID as before. -
How to completely remove safari and all its files?
I have Windows Vista and I need to COMPLETELY remove Safari and ALL its files. It is important that it is completely removed, and I've already tried simply uninstalling (from "uninstall a program" in the control panel)it but it doesn't get rid of EVERYTHING safari. I think some of the files are damaged or something because Safari won't open. How would I do this?

Thanks.Clem is telling you to click on the View menu, move the pointer down to the item "Metadata," & from its choices make sure "Show Titles" is selected. Do this, then make sure you are in a view in the main window that shows one or more videos (or whatever) that you want to title. Click once on one of them, & if the separate Info window is not open, open that (on the Windows menu or command + i as a keyboard shortcut). In the Info window the top line will be "Add a Title."
Click once on that & type your title.
This works for any item, video or photo. -

Unfortunately, in your case, there isn't really a way to separate them as far as I can think.
You could try restoring from a backup, and choosing an older backup perhaps

I have an iPhone 3GS that I dropped in water for a moment. After drying it and everything, it still does everything but get service. Can I back it up and transfer its data to a new iPhone 3GS? Sounds like your phone is in recovery mode. In this case, all data on it is gone. There's nothing to back up.

wmf files is a MS Windows video file, you will need a tool to covert the wmf files to another file format OS X will read. Simply Google to find a converter you are interested in and use it.

1] Reapply the 10.4.6 Combo Updater or apply the 10.4.8 Combo Updater as this has done wondrous things for some folks. Follow standard precautions re updates/upgrades.

Time Machine deleted my first backup to make space for a new one, is there anyway to recover it?!?!
So I had all my stuff backed up to December 23 on an external hard drive with Time Machine, then I deleted it all so that the next automatic backup didn't have any of these older files. Today Time Machine deleted my original backup to make space for a new one and so I lost Decemer 23, now I am screwed..HELP?? I accidently let it delete or something, I don't really know, I know this was just a series of mistakes and now I'm desparate ):

It's a normal behavior that Time Machine is deleting oldest backups when drive is filling up. -
After updating os to OSX 10.9.1 I can't open any new pdf files. I get a message saying It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn’t recognise. I can still read older saved files but no new ones arriving by email. Also can't attach a pdf to an email to send out. Any help would be appreciated.
Back up all data before making any changes. Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to print by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar may appear under the cursor. Click the printer icon.
Step 2
There should be a setting in its preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
Step 3
If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and check the box marked
Allow Plug-ins
Then click
Manage Website Settings...
and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
Step 4
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.
Step 5
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others — I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
Step 6
Do as in Step 4 with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari. -
