Deleting measures

I am new to GB and will undoubtedly have many more questions for you pros - I recently brought in a sound loop to a project, and was able to select parts, or measures of the loop and delete them at the bottom of the screen.
I would like to do the same for software instruments but can only seem to view the notes in the pane below, and not the enlarged track of the one above. I am able to delete notes, but not measures so far. Does this make sense?

Oh I see now, just hover over a corner of a region and the curser changes to allow modification of the region.
How come with songs, or loops brought in from the right panel, was I able to modify the regions in the lower pane, but unable to do the same for software tracks?
Thanks!

  • Delete Measure Folder without AWM 11.1

    Hello,
    a measure folder went invalid, after deleting a cube from the aw.
    Now I can't connect to the aw using awm. (It throws a ora-04023)
    Is there a way of deleting the Measure Folder without AWM?
    Somethink like this???
    begin
    dbms_cube.import_xml( to_clob(
    '<Metadata Version="1.0">
    <???OrganizationalSchema??? Name="NAME_OF_MF" Action="REMOVE"/>
    </Metadata>'));
    end;
    Version is 11.1.0.7.
    Thanks a lot!
    Ed

    You should be able to delete a measure folder using PL/SQL. I just tested this by creating a measure folder named MF1 using AWM. I then detached the AW in AWM and executed the following using SQL*Plus.
    SQL> select measure_folder_name from user_measure_folders;
    MEASURE_FOLDER_NAME
    MF1
    begin
    dbms_cube.import_xml( to_clob(
    '<Metadata Version="1.0">
    <OrganizationalSchema Name="MF1" Action="REMOVE"/>
    </Metadata>
    end;
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> select measure_folder_name from user_measure_folders;
    no rows selected
    If this doesn't work for you, then you may have discovered a bug. Let me know if there is a problem, including any error message you may get.

  • Deleting measure and moving region changes notes

    I need to delete a measure and move the region from the right to fill in the gap. When I do that all the notes in the region to the right that I pulled over change. The rhythm is right, but the notes are wrong, either too high or too low. Very peculiar. Can anyone provide some insight? I am using Logic Expres 9 on Mountain Lion.

    Hi
    Yep, the Chord track can cause disasters like this. Unless you have decent backups (check the project folder) you may be out of luck.

  • Can not delete cube or measure using AWM10.1.0.4

    Hi all,
    I can not delete a cube using AWM10.1.0.4 when the database is 10.1.0.4. But when the database is 10.1.0.3 with latest OLAP patch, there's no problem with deleting cubes. The following is the error I got when trying to delete a cube(any cube) or measure. Any suggests. Thanks inadvance
    An error occurred deleting Cube FEM_DATA2_C.CUBE : ***Error Occured: Can not Delete Cube FEM_DATA2_C.CUBE. Can not Delete Measure FEM_DATA2_C.BUDGET.MEASURE. AW Object with Properties AW$CLASS EXTENSIONS AW$ROLE DEPENDENT_MEASURES does not exist.

    And I find some time I create dimensions or cubes ,it can find in CWM2 catalog,but some time you create object in AWM10.1.0.4 by logic mode it
    do not appear in CWM2 catalog.
    In awm9 you can "enable olap to BI BEAN.." and this action will register
    AW object to CWM2 catalog,but in awm10g I can not find this function.
    Hey! give me an explain on it.

    Dear All,
    How to delete Measuring point of an equipment for which already measuring document is created?
    Regards,
    Samir

    Dear Samir,
    You can inactive the measuring point so that further measuring document creation is not possible. And it be available in equipment for history.
    Follow the steps:
    1) Run the transaction IK02.
    2) Enter the measuring point number.
    3) Select the following path: Measuring Point (Menu Bar) ->   Functions->    Active<-->Inactive-> Inactive
    4) Try for creating meas. doc., it will not be possible for this meas. point.

  • Problem with Write To Measurement File Express VI not writing to file if file was deleted after the first call (7.1)

    I'm using the Express Write to LabVIEW Measurement File in LV7.1.
    I have it set to "Save to one file"  and have tried both "Overwrite file" and "Using next available file name" for the "If a file already exists" conditions.
    The path/filename is passed into the function.
    It works fine the first time around.  If the file is deleted before the function is called again, an error occurs since LV is unable to find the file.
    I have had to stop and re-run my program in order to write to use the function again.
    Since I am able to delete the file I assume it was closed but it seems like LV expects it to be there, even though the function was supposed to create/open/close the file...  Is there any way to reset this without stopping/restarting the program?
    Since my application creates several files (only one using the Express VI) I am checking for the filenames and requiring that they be deleted (or a new filename be used) before acquiring data.  Everything has worked great, except for the Express VI.
    Thank you,
    David

    Ok, I've edited the VI you posted to reproduce my error (this time with 8.0).
    I added a "master stop" and "start log" button.  To demonstrate my problem:
    1.  Run the VI
    2.  Click "START LOGGING" - c:\test.txt is created
    3.  Click "STOP" - c:\test.txt is closed
    4.  Delete the file c:\test.txt with Windows shell or explorer
    5.  Click "START LGGING" - a new c:\test.txt file should be created but instead an error is raised in the Write LabVIEW Measurement File function.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Dave

  • Mass deletion of Batch specific unit of measure

    Dear Experts,
    How to delete the batch specific unit of measure in the material master maintained in the additional data -unit of measure and proportional / production unit of measure in mass . We have some 1000 material for which we want to remove the datas related to batch specific unit of measure from the material master.

    I have not yet seen an option to delete data with MM17, but I am open to be educated.
    I would suggest you do it with LSMW or CATT.
    However, test it first in MM02, before you waste your time with mass processing. You might receive errors if that material was already in use and batches exist.

  • Is it possible to completely delete a specific measure of my song?

    I'm working on a song where I've recorded 4 tracks so far (all live instruments). Once I recorded them, I realized that measures 35 and 36 shouldn't be there at all. In other words, I'd like the song to skip from measure 34 to measure 37. 3 of the 4 tracks have the instruments playing in measures 35-36, but one track is silent in those 2 measures. I'd like to be able to drag my cursor over those entire 2 measures and hit delete. But I don't see a way to do that.
    I could do a manual "delete and move" on measures 35-36 for each of the 3 tracks that has instruments playing. But that would still leave the one silent track happening 2 measures too late in the song (since there is music in that track later in the song). All these tracks have control points after measure 36, and those would need to be moved too.
    I can't find this in the manual. I called Apple Support, and they suggested I post here. It seems like such a basic function -- deleting part of a song -- that I'd be surprised if there was no way to do it.

    you can try using an Arrange Track (though i've found it a bit flaky):

    aside from that, see these entries for the moving and deleting:

  • LSMW Measuring Point Delete

    Hi,
    I have tried creating an LSMW in order to delete a measuring point associated to an equipment using IE02 and/or IK05. I would not like to delete all of the measuring points by using the select all buton and delete. Therefore I am using the tick box to select the measuring point I would like to delete. However, the LSMW does not recognise that I am selecting a measuring point.
    Any work around or any other option?
    Regards,
    Nikolai

    IK02 does not enable you to delete the measuring point, however it allows me to change the decimal places which is what I wanted. CT04, does not allow you to change the decimal point of the characteristic if it is already assigned to an equipment.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Run cleanup utility, then all ivi drivers in the measurement & automation explorer are deleted,

    Hello I have the following problem,
    I run the cleanup utility, then all ivi drivers in the measurement & automation explorer are deleted.
    when I want to add for example a new driver session then that is not possible to click on "create new".
     What is the problem?
    regards samuel

    Cedric,
    In this case its the usb-serial adapter that is likely the cause of the issue.  As mentioned in this KB it is likely that MAX doesn't know how to recognize the third-party adapter.  You may want to refer to this KB that talks about making VISA calls to third-party devices as it may be useful.

    At the end of my composition I have some measures that are not wanted and I can't figure out how to delete them, using GarageBand 2.0 for iOS 7.0.3 for iPad mini,  Any suggestions?

    Haha just figured it out, push the plus(add more measures) on the top right of the bar and choose edit then it gives you the little red delete symbol just push that and it will go away.

  • Delete Agent and measurements import

    Hi gurus,
    Please i have 2 questions at IHS configuration:
    1. How can i delete a specification created on CBIH92, delete option in menu is disabled.
    2. In measurement Management, how report REHS_MP_MJVA_IMPORT works? I activated the user exit because we have water pollution measurement managed by external laboratories, and we need to import them to SAP, but I realized that is necessary to create the measurement header manually and just after that te measruement values can be imported. Is that correct?
    I wonder if some of you could help me with these topics.
    Thanks a lot,
    Daniel Siñani

    Hello,
    I guess you can delet the agent undr the T-code CBIH92 only if you have not considered that agent for any assessment. In case you have done any assessment on that particular agent initially you need to delete the assessment onlt then you can delete the agent from the specification workbench.
