Deleting Mobile Email accounts

Hello all. I am a new Verizon customer, using a new Centro. I set up the "mobile email" on my wifes centro with MY Gmail account, just to test to see if would work, thinking there would be some normal account options where I could delete the account and enter a new account for her...NOPE! I am a network engineer by the way, so I feel pretty stupid asking this...but how do I delete that mobile email account and enter hers? The user guide is 100% useless, and there seems not to be any "normal" settings icon that you can enter in to and administer the device. Not too impressed with the NON-user friendlyness of the device thus far. Any help will be thoroughly appreciated. Perhaps someone can shoot a link my way, that outlines some of the settings procedures for simplistic commands such as email setup?

I found the file "com.apple.mail.plist" and opened it in TextEdit.
Unfortunately, the text is formatted as one huge string with no real way to tell what text I need to snip out.
I did not find a "DeliveryAccounts' item, but I can find references to the other accounts because of the old mail server addresses. Here is a sample of two lines of that text...
"BD8A-3626F31B7591@_outgoing.verizon.netÖGHIKJL\]^[email protected]_$91228 FA1-93F8-4E71-9B03-FC7ABC56683A@P_mail.boemarine.comÖGaHJKL\bcd<RZPortNumberS366 _"
So as you can see, there isn't a logical (to me) start and stop point to the text items.
Might there be a 3rd party utility that will remove old mail accounts?

but then i realized what a nightmare it was to have too many emails coming in at same time. Long story short, i went back to how i first set up both emails in the first place by going to setup wizard, email setup, "i want to create or add an email address." , next, next, logging on to web2go, then finally the stupid messege shows up ERROR- " this site cannot be accessed in this manner. From your description, perhaps TMO has changed the method you need to do this? Have you contacted them, as per the information provided to you? After all, it's a TMO system you are attempting to interact with, is it not?

Not sure about yahoo, but for gmail, I done the following:
Set up using Exchange on iPhone, it'll keep prompting for password. On PC use captcha option, log in to gmail account from PC after completingg captcha option, enter password on iPhone.
See how that goes for gmail, let us know.
Hopefully someone will have fix for yahoo.

What type of account did you set-up on the iPad, POP, IMAP, the items on your iPad could have downloaded off the server or you will need wait awhile for the message to update to the iPad.

How do I fully delete an email account from my Apple Mail app on my iMac?
When I go here: Mail > Preferences Mail > Accounts
I got the message that I needed to delete it from my Internet Accounts.
When I go here: System Preferences > Internet Accounts > select the account >
I cannot select or click the minus sign on the bottom left to delete the account because it does not appear in the list.
Yet the email account still shows up in my email logs with errors that it cannot connect.
The email account no longer appears in the left column where all my email accounts are in Apple Mail as I have deleted that domain and no longer use it, so the email was deleted at the server level. However, again, the email account still shows up in my email logs with errors that it cannot connect.
This is driving me bananas!

If you haven't already done so, please quit and relaunch Mail. See whether the account goes away.

In the Settings there is a Restrictions portion that was toggled on. I entered my passcode and under "Allow Changes" I toggled the Accounts tab to "On". Then went bact to the Mail, Contacts, Calendars tab and was allowed to delete the account.

I'm sorry you're having issues with your e-mail account on your phone Rusty1112. Let's figure out what's going on. First, please try deleting account/information again and then restart phone. When phone is back on, try adding e-mail account again, and be sure you're entering exactly as you set up, meaning its case-sensitive. If you're still getting same error, please let us know and let us know what e-mail account it is, Yahoo, AOL, MSN, etc.

I just purchased a macbook and was setting it up for the first time. I clicked on the mail icon (postage stamp) and added an email but have decided I do not want to use the mail option right now. How do i delete the email account and set the mail program back to its original settings.

Do you have Settings/General/Restrictions/Accounts set to dont allow changes - i have an exchange email account on my 6+ and there was a button at the bottom to delete the account

You can't delete an iTunes accounr/Apple ID. All you can do is stop using it. What you can do is change your Apple ID password, as well as the password for your email account. That will put an end to this.
