Deleting modifiable SE10 request/transport
Dear Forum,
One of our developers made by mistake a transport request (se10) in our Q/A environment /should have been Dev system), and she would like it removed/deleted again. I would say it is ok to delete the modifiable request in Q system (garbage can) as long that it hasnt been released. but i would like your opinion.
Best of my knowledge we wouldnt end up having any locked objects as long the reuqest hasnt been released. It is in status modifiable.
Any replys will be greatly appreciated
thanks in advance!
kind regards,
Soren
Hi,
If any objects are stored in TR first remove them and delete the request.Check the target system of request in properties tab and change if it is Production , make sure it is not released .
Thanks and Regards,

Delete modifiable transport with locked objects (SE10)
Dear Forum,
I have a request from a developer who wishes to have a transport deleted from SE10. the transport is in status modifiable, but it has locked objects. So when i try to delete the transport the system warns me that "Request/task XXXK900962 cannot be deleted because it contains locked objects".
What is the "SAP Best Practice" way to get rid of this transport? Please explain in detail.
Any input will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Kind Regards,
SorenHello Eric,
I am facing an issue after deleting a repair object in the task.
I could not add this entry in the task as it is not allowing. The object type is as below
R3TR MCIN S901 (Its a change to info structure from SPRO - IMG activity)
Now when I want to change the object, it is giving error.
When I want to add same obj in the repair task manually it is not allowing.
Can you please give me any suggestion.
I believe as you said, when I delete a locked object, the traces that the object has been changed are deleted and hence it is giving the error.
Is there any way to manually restore the object?
Can I add the object using TR_APPEND_TO_COMM_OBJS_KEYS?

Delete an already released transport request
Hello together,
I have a problem in SE09/SE10 with a transport request.
The request is as follows:
Modifiable
D01K939667 100 Username /Description
D01K939668 Username Customizing Task
The requests itself has the status "Modifiable". The task D01K939668 within the request is already released. I have to delete the whole request now, but when trying to delete it, it says "Request D01K939668 already released". How can I delete a task within a request, that is already released?
Thank you for any help!
Best regards
Klaus HirscheggerOf course, you can
But you have to chnage status of the request:
Use transaction SE38 or SA38 and run program: RDDIT076
Set your request number and run the program
After request is shown double click on it
You should be able to change status from R to D
And now, you can delete the transport for example in transaction: SE10...

How to delete old transfer requests
Hi,
I need to delete old transfer requests from dev, do you have idea, how to do it?
Thanks
RadkaRadka, If the transport request has not yet been moved up the chain, first you have to delete the individual objects after diplaying the request in SE09/SE10 that are in the request and then delete the request. It might give you a warning message that the object is currently locked but you can ignore that.
One word of caution, If someone else is trying to change the objects again in DEV please note that they will be changing the already changed objects in DEV which is not in line with what is currently in QA or PROD.

Request Transport...
Hello all,
I want to learn a support process- I have studied one of thread regarding work process of support.
And there is something which I want to understand in depth and that is only overview:
"When you need to solve the ticket. You would analyze the problem and identify that the SAP configuration has to be done for the required change.
You would request a transport for DEV CLIENT to BASIS. You do the change and Request one more Transport to BASIS for QA client. The End user will test the same by creating a sales order for the new plant and approve it.
Finally, you request a transport to move the changes to PRODUCTION. Once the change is deployed in production the TICKET is closed. "
In the above process, I want to know about the Request Transport process and relevant Basis people work in depth, which t-code they use, Pls explain me the example and relevant practicle aspects, if you can give an example and relative practical solution to practice this request transport regarding the issue, would be best for me to understand because once i do it at my own with your guidance, I will be more confident how to transport the request from here to there.

Geeta

Edited by: GeetaChaudhary on Nov 12, 2011 3:18 AMUsually you will have a landscape of 3 servers, Development, QA and production. You have to perform your customizing changes in DEV, then SAP will ask you for a transport to save those changes, when you are done you have to release your transport in transaction SE10 and then import the changes into the next server which would be QA* (where the user will test that your changes are ok) using transaction STMS, if everything is ok you release** again the transport from QA and import it into Production.
*Depending on the politic sand customizing of the company you work on, you can create yourself the new transport request, or you will have to ask the basis guy to create it for you
Usually the import into QA is performed by a recurrent job, which after x minutes imports every transport release from DEV into QA. It could also happen that there is no such a job, and you have to inform the basis guy to import the change into QA
Usually to release a transport from QA the manager will have to also approve the release (there can be n approvers needed) -

DVHello DVMC,
How r u ?
GoTo SE10 and with the same username using which the request was created. Then select the Request Number u want to Delete and press Delete icon(TRASH icon). This should delete them.
***I TRIED AND WORKED. It gave this message
Delete BW9K901662 (Workbench request) with all
tasks?
Yes No Cancel
Clicking YES here deleted all the underlying objects.
Also, this is removing the objects from that request, but I could see them active in the LOCAL OBJECT.

'TYPELOAD_NEW_VERSION during deletion of overlapping requests
Hello,
We have a process chain that loads Profit Center Accounting(PCA) data.
Every day the chain loads data from current and previous periods and
deletes overlapping request for the same periods. Recently we
compressed few of the oldest requests from the PCA
cube. and this is the first time we have compressed request for this cube. After this everyday the process chain fails with the ABAP
dump 'TYPELOAD_NEW_VERSION' at the step where it deletes the
overlapping requests. However, we are able to manually delete the overlapping requests after the failure.
The type reported in the abap dump is /BIC/D100019P which happens to be the dimension table for the PCA cube.
We are on BW 3.3 content.
Has any one faced this before? Any solutions? I appreciate your suggestions
Regards,
BalaCan you reactivate de selective deletion which is giving the error ?
Usually TYPELOAD_NEW_VERSION happens when you modify an object which was related with others. This others migth give this dump in case they don't "see" the new version. Very frequent with transformations.
Let me know if this helps

Dear Experts,
how can I delete a released request from se09/se10/se03... So when I open se09/se10/se03 once more, I do not want to see there some requests...
Thank you!Hi,
Goto SE09 select request status released.
search ur request right click -> delete.
if it doesnot work go to STMS of Quality \ Production select ur request and delete.
If that also doesnot work ask basis guy to do for u.
Or u just forget about that request coz it is not going to have any impact on Quality or Production System unless and until it is imported.

How to delete 100+ released requests from the import queue?
Hello
How to delete 100+ released requests from the import queue?
One by one or there is more convinient way?
ThanksTo delete multiple non-imported transport requests, you do the following while in the import queue on STMS:
1) Highlight the status field of the import queue.
2) Sort the import queue by the status.
3) Put your cursor on the first non-imported transport, right-click, and click on Select Block.
4) Scroll down and put your cursor on the last non-imported transport, right-click and click on Select Block. This will highlight all requests from the first one selection to the last one selected.
5) Go to menu option Request > Delete.
If all of the requests in the import queue haven't been imported (no imported, including failed import, requests), you can jump to Steps 3-5. -
ESS Travel - request transportation / accommodation
Help
I'm using business package ess of the portal.
I thought he represented the transaction trip with all its features.
However I am not finding place to come with information, transportation and accommodations in the functionality of creation of requests for travel.
I need this functionality in my project.
Do you have any suggestion.
Does bp ESS does not have this functionality (request transportation / accommodation)?
thank you.it's does effect your current Portal ESS.
Only you are upgrading the Backend system to Eh P2 which means for travel you will get additional software component FIN_TRAVL_1 which needs to be activated after upgrading the ECC.
You can read the below SAP PROVIDED Notes
SAP NOTES
FIN_TRAVEL_1: Business Function Travel Management (New)
Use
As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension Travel Management Extension, enhancement package 2 (EA-TRV 602), you can use the business function Travel Management. This business function encompasses the new and extended functions of the Travel Management (FI-TV) component described below.
New User Interface in SAP Enterprise Portal
The extended travel management applications in Employee Self-Service (ESS) of SAP Enterprise Portal are based on Web Dynpro ABAP technology. If you activate this business function, SAP Enterprise Portal no longer launches the Web Dynpro Java applications, but rather the new Web Dynpro ABAP applications. Users require new authorization profiles, which are defined in the new standard roles. The following Web Dynpro ABAP applications are available in ESS:
My Trips and Expenses
The Personal Object Worklist (POWL) for travelers lists the travel requests, travel plans, and expense reports (travel expenses) for each individual traveler. Travelers run applications from within the POWL; for example, to create a new travel plan using the data from a travel request, or to change the expense report. Travelers also can launch the applications for creating travel requests, travel plans, and expense reports, directly in ESS.
My Employees
The POWL for travel assistants lists the travel requests, travel plans, and expense reports for all employees assigned to the assistant. Travel assistants can perform tasks such as creating and changing travel plans for employees, and copying travel plans from other employees.
Create Travel Request
Create Travel Plan
Create Expense Report (Create Travel Expense Report)
My Travel Profile
Route Planning
Unlock Personnel Number
If certain conditions are given, you can implement the new Web Dynpro ABAP application for the following standard role in Manager Self-Service (MSS):
Approving Manager
To implement this new application in SAP Enterprise Portal, you need to provide an iView.
This application enables you to perform the approval process without SAP Business Workflow and Organizational Management. For more information, see the section that follows.
New User Interface: SAP NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC)
Users can run the following role-based Web Dynpro ABAP applications in the NWBC, independent of the new standard roles assigned to those users:
Traveler
The POWL and applications are the same as the My Trips and Expenses application in SAP Enterprise Portal. The POWL also provides access to the applications My Travel Profile, Route Planning, and Unlock Personnel Number.
Travel Assistant
The POWL and applications are the same as the My Employees application in SAP Enterprise Portal. The POWL also provides access to the applications My Travel Profile (for all employees), Route Planning, and Unlock Personnel Number (for all employees).
Approving Manager
The POWL for approving managers lists the travel data requiring approval for all employees assigned to the manager. Approving managers can approve or reject expenses, and send explanatory comments to the employees via e-mail.
The POWL enables approving managers to define substitutes for limited periods of time, and to act as a substitute for other approving managers.
Travel Policy Administrator
Users with this role can execute the following Customizing applications for managing travel policy:
Change Predefined Addresses
Define Maximum Rates and Default Values for Expense Types
Define Maximum Amounts for Hotel Nights
Define Hotel Catalog
Define Customer Programs
Define Agreements Between Travel Service Providers on Customer Programs
Integration of Travel Requests and Travel Planning
The areas of travel requests, travel planning and expense reports are fully integrated in the new Web Dynpro ABAP user interface. Users can copy the following travel data:
When creating travel plans, users can copy data from their travel requests. When users create a new travel plan, the system displays a list of open travel requests, from which users can copy data to the new travel plan.
When creating expense reports, users can copy data from their travel requests or travel plans. When users create a new expense report, the system displays a list of open travel requests and travel plans, from which users can copy data to the new expense report.
The POWL of each user shows the status of the user's trips and provides users with easy access to the subsequent actions that are possible (for example, once a travel request is approved, the user can choose Create Travel Plan).
Integration of Travel Services and Travel Preferences in Travel Requests
In travel requests, you can specify which travel services are required for the following modes of travel (but you cannot reserve or book them here):
Flight
Hotel
Car rental
Rail
Other travel services
For more information, see the section that follows.
The system displays the preferences of a traveler based on his or her travel profile. At a later date, you can transfer the data a travel request to a travel plan, and book your trip. Alternatively, you can transmit the travel request to a travel agency, which then books the trip for you.
Other Travel Services
In travel requests, you can now specify (but not reserve or book) other travel services. Other travel services include the following:
Ferry
Helicopter
Airport shuttle
In Customizing you determine which other travel services are displayed and which entries can be made by users. See Other Travel Services.
Copying of Travel Requests
Users can copy travel requests. Travel assistants can copy travel requests of one traveler for another traveler, and edit the new request. (Both travelers need to be on the employee list of the travel assistant.)
Saving of Drafts of User Entries
The Save Draft function allows users to temporarily save your entries in the applications (except in travel travel planning). The system saves the incomplete entries with the status Open.
Expense Types per Schema
To each schema, you can assign those expense types that need to be available in the respective schema. If you do not specify any expense types for a schema, then all expense types stored in the system apply to that schema. You can use this function to create a schema for miscellaneous receipts, which enables employees to enter receipts that are not directly related to a specific trip. These might be expenses for phone costs, office supplies, or promotional gifts on behalf of consultants or sales staff. See Restrict Travel Expense Types for Trip Schemas.
This function is also available in SAP GUI.
Advanced Passenger Information
In travel plans, you can enter additional passenger data for Advanced Passenger Information System (APIS). When a flight is booked, this data is transmitted to the airlines via a Global Distribution System (GDS). In Customizing, for each country key you can determine whether travelersare required to enter APIS data, and which data items are required. See Define Data for Advanced Passenger Information System.
This function is available only in the new Web Dynpro ABAP user interface.
Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance
The following functions have been extended to ensure audit ability of statutory rules, such as those prescribed by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act:
Credit Card Receipts in Expense Reports
You can define in Customizing that users cannot delete credit card receipts. See the field documentation under Set Up Feature TRVPA for Travel Expenses Parameters.
In expense reports, you can itemize your private expenses as separate receipts and allocate them to private expense types (for example, use of mini-bar). This documents the personal portion of expenses in the system.
Additional Receipt Information in Expense Reports
When entering expenses, you can specify internal and external participants of an entertainment event in the form of a table under additional receipt information. You can evaluate this information in reporting. In Customizing, for each trip provision variant and expense type, you can determine whether users are required to enter such participants. See Field Control for Additional Receipt Information.
These enhancements are also available in SAP GUI.
Use of Scanned Receipts and Adding of Attachments
If you use optical archives for Travel Management, in expense reports you can display receipts that are scanned into the system. When scanned receipts are allocated to an expense report, the system shows them in the POWLs for travelers, travel assistants, and approving managers.
Travelers can add attachments to their expense reports (for example, the agenda of a convention). This can be done when creating an expense report or in the POWL. Attachments are linked to the trip number and can be viewed by travel assistants and approving managers.
Enhancements in Flight Reservations
Flight reservations have the following new functions:
You can determine whether the Amadeus reservation system should apply Value Pricer or Master Pricer in fare-driven flight availability queries. You do this with the MASTERPRICER attribute in table TA20SWITCH. See Define Enterprise-Wide Control Parameters.
The system sorts best-price query results by price, but groups different flight combinations that have the same price. Within these groupings, you can select any combination of outbound and return flights.
If you have set up a direct connection to a flight reservation system such as TRAVELfusion (in addition to GDS), the system shows the available flights for both reservation systems in the fare-driven flight availability list.
Enhancements in Bookings at Deutsche Bahn (German Railway)
Train reservations using NVS (Amadeus) have the following new functions:
You can book tickets for multiple passengers. You can specify whether each individual passenger has a BahnCard. For international trips, you can enter the age of each passenger, for example, to receive a discount for people under the age of 26.
You can book tickets, reserve seats, or both.
When booking a trip, you can request a Bahn-Tix. Then, prior to departure you can pick up the train ticket at any DB ticket machine for intercity rail traffic. At the ticket machine you can identify yourself with your BahnCard, credit card, Eurocheque card, or the order number shown in the booking data.
Enhancements for Hotel Reservations
You can sort hotels according to different criteria such as price, star rating, or distance from the address.
Generic XI Interface to Rail Portals
As an alternative to using a global distribution system (GDS) to include rail connections in Travel Planning, you can instead use rail portals for this purpose. Using SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure (XI), Travel Planning provides a generic interface for connections to rail portals. One such connection is the Deutsche Bahn Corporate Portal (also referred to as Bahn Internet Booking Engine = BIBE).
Generic XI Interface to Flight Reservation Systems
As an alternative to using a global distribution system (GDS) to include flights in Travel Planning, you can instead use flight reservation systems for this purpose. Using SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure (XI), Travel Planning provides a generic interface for connections to flight reservation systems. This enables you to book flights with low-cost carriers (LCC) and Web fare deals on the Internet. Travel Planning displays the offers of flight reservation systems as part of the fare-driven flight availability list, together with offers from a GDS.
Enterprise Services
Report programs and BAdIs (Business Add-ins) are available for the new Enterprise Services for the following process components:
Expense and Reimbursement Management
Travel Management
Business Data Management
Personnel Administration
For more information, see HCM_SRV_CI_1: HCM, Enterprise Services 01 (New).
Effects on Existing Data
You can continue using existing travel data without restrictions.
Effects on Customizing
The following IMG activities are new:
If you want to implement the other travel services in the Travel Request component, perform the IMG activities under Travel Request.
To adjust the processes for the integration of rail portals, use the Business Add-in (BAdI) Adjust Processes for Integration of Rail Portals.
To configure APIS, perform the IMG activities Define Data for Advanced Passenger Information System and BAdI: Adjust Creation of APIS Elements.
To assign expense types to schemas, perform IMG activity Restrict Travel Expense Types for Trip Schemas.
The following IMG activities have been extended:
To define that users may not delete credit card receipts, perform IMG activity Set Up Feature TRVPA for Travel Expenses Parameters.
To extend the additional receipt information with the participants in entertainment, perform IMG activity Field Control for Additional Receipt Information.
To use Master Pricer, perform IMG activity Define Enterprise-Wide Control Parameters.

How to delete the open requests in the LBWQ
Hi guys ... Can any one let me know how to delete / update the open requests in the queue . I need to delete the Open requests in the LBWQ...we are applying patches and for that we need to delete from LBWQ and RSA7...I guess there is an ABAP report which will deletes the open requests...Can any one let me know that report name please
Thanks in advance...
regards
Edited by: sam on Dec 17, 2007 6:15 PMIf your job control runs fine then best thing is to transfer the records from LBWQ to RSA7 and pull it to BW. If you do this all your delta data is intact and you do not loose any delta data. But if you delete the LBWQ you potentially loose all youre delta data. You can go to LBWE and start the job control and move data to RSA7 and then pull it to BW.
But i am not very clear why you wish to delete this data ? If you do this then better you reinitialize all your delta data by following your normal procedure of filling up the setup tables and then initalizing in BW. -
How to delete a specific request from ODS
Hi all,
We have an ODS which we're loading invoices from legacy system. In legacy system, there are two tables for invoices. First one is daily records which is archived on last day of each month. As you guess, second table is for archive records. We need all of the records from both tables. Because of performance issue , we don't want to load both tables everyday . So we created two transformation. Since there is no delta option, we need to delete the first table request from data targets before extraction. And delete the request from the second table only last day of month. We're created process chain. But there is no option for deleting only the request from a specific data source or transformation. Are there any solution for this?
thanks,
YigitHi,
Thanks for your code. But is there any function module to delete most recent request from the ODS.
I had 2 requirements...One in need to delete from ODS & Other one from Cube.
FM - 'RSSM_DELETE_REQUEST' will be used to delete from Cube only.
Can please you send FM & ABAP Code to delete request from ODS.
Thanks in advance.

How to delete a single request from DSO in BI 7.0
Dear Experts,
Could you please tell me how to delete a single request from DSO?
I mean, in DSO if we delete one request it also delete the requests which are above it. But i don't to delete the above it.
Please suggest me this issue.
Regards,
PrathapIN DSO--its a very basic thing....
ACTIVE TABLE and CHANGELOG tables are overwritten after activation of each request.
So ,each new request has a realationsip with the older request.
So in the cases:
1.If you activate the older request it will delete the new one ,because changelog entries have been written from the data of new request on the basis of the older one.
e.g older request entries:
a x 1
new request
a x 2
change log
a x 1
a x -1
a x 2
so its quite obvious you can't have a x 2 directly (because in the infocube you will be sending wrong entries by deleting the just the older request and loadning new request).
2.If you have activate new and old request toghterh then also system will not allow you to delete the newer request alone and you will have to delete both the requests.
I guess already someone proposed correct solution to you ...thats selective deletion...but rahter than doing selective deletion there is a better way if you want to cancel out a particular request:
thats request reverst posting
IN the process monitor of any particular request you can find out the option for request reverse posting..Its good for individual request cancellation(keyfig values will become 0 for that particular request)

How to delete the compressed Request ID in the info cube... ?
Hi BW Gurus,
one of the info package will upload the request in to three data targets and failed due to error with duplicate records. I am able to delete the bad request in two data targets and facing problem with one data target due to the request is available in green and got compressed.
The reasons why i am unable to delete the request in that data target is it is already got compressed and rolledup.
I tried with selective deletion based on same request ID i have done that successfully but the request still presents in the data target. I have checked in listcube and found no data for the request id.
now i have one more question like the request has bring down to status not ok in the monitor and done selective deletion will it be a problem on the data missing please advise me if any data missing will occur for the particular data target.
can any one help on this. Thanks in Advance.
Venkat.Hi Venkat
You have one way to delete the compressed request
But this is possible only if u have the request in PSA
If the request is in PSA, do reverse posting
This will nullify the particular bad request by changing the press sign into - and - sign into + for all the records went in the cube for that particular request
