Deleting Multiples

Hi Guys, I'm new to automator and looking for some support.
I shoot my camera pictures in RAW and JPEG, both have identical metadata bar the file extension (time/date of shooting, filename etc) and I split my camera files via automator into folders; iphoto picks up the Jpegs and Photoshop the RAW images. I use iPhoto to view them and if I want to edit one I take myself to Photoshop so here's the thing - from a 500 picture photo shoot I'll delete the majority in iPhoto and save some which I can maybe edit, I then have to duplicate this process in Photoshop meaning I look at 1000 photo's, not 500 so I'd like to try and automate this.
So heres where I am with the workflow...I've gone into iPhoto and basically the file structure is 'originals' & 'modified', I've created aliases and stuck them in the same folder as an alias for the location of the photoshop files so basically both the JPEGS and RAWS sit together with the same filenames. I can delete a duplicate by pointing to them manually but I want the RAW dupe to be deleted when I hit delete in iPhoto.
It's a bit of a tryer but thank-you for reading and helping on my issue.

Hi thanks for looking & the tip. I do use Bridge to view the RAW files and I guess I could use this for both, although I'm pretty awkward because I like not only the simple interface of iphoto, but also it's functionality to quickly upload to Facebook, to sync my iphone and use it for Faces and GPS photo locations.
In an ideal world I'd link iphoto to view and Aperture 2 to modify but Aperture doesn't support native RAW files for my particular camera so I've had to move across to CS4 and Bridge.
I'm just picky and want the best of both world I guess.

Hi,
I want to do a big clean up on an iTunes library with over 4000 albums.
How can I delete multiple Artists in one action?
It looks like I can only delete 1 Artist at a time, and then this action shoots me to the top of the list. Which is a pain then having to scroll back down through such a huge list to then delete the others one at a time... each time being shot back to the top of the list.
For example I have the following artists;
The Alarm 01 – 1 song
The Alarm 02 – 1 song
The Alarm 03 – 1 song
The Alarm 04 – 1 song
The Alarm 05 – 1 song
The Alarm 06 – 1 song
And I want to delete them all in 1 action.
Can this be done? How best to do it?

You can't delete "artists" - just songs (or songs grouped into albums). When iTunes displays the library or a playlist in Artists view it is doing so using the metadata values set in the relevant songs. If you're looking at this view:
then your selections in the left pane - the artists list - is filtering what you see on the right. When you select Delete via the keyboard or via a right-click operation, you are initiating an operation to delete the songs by that artist. To delete songs by more than one artist in a single operation you'll need to select and delete in Albums view:

Open your Photos App > Camera Roll > At the top right corner you will see a rectangle with a right arrow, select that. Now you can select as many photos as you want and you can hit the red Delete button on the bottom right.

I'd like to clean up my Itunes LIBRARY files, but don't know what's safe to do and not to do. (I have Itunes 8.1 / OSX10.4.11)
MY QUESTION IS TWOFOLD :
(1) how do I create a new Itunes library file now with today's date; and
(2) how do I delete multiple (old) Itunes library files, without risking the loss of what I've got ?
This all stems from exploring Itunes as a result of a problem I had today... when trying to import mp3's from my terrabyte drive, after about 150 successful mp3 track imports, Itunes froze and everything else on my MAC froze as well (constant spinning colored wheel). After many failed attempts to force quit Itunes, I turned off my MBPro. On restarting, Itunes tooks ages to "import" files. Eventually Itunes opened but with only half of my original tunes (1500+ songs 8.11GB) and had nothing from today's import.
I found a post suggesting to hold down OPTION while starting Itunes. Then I selected a file from my hard drive > me > music > Itunes > "Itune library" with the most recent date and shezam, Itunes once again has all my songs, as before. Nothing I imported from the terrabyte drive today appears however, but no matter.
In my "Itunes" file there appear MULTIPLE Itunes libraries ! such as Itunes library, Itunes Library (damaged), and as well a folder called "Previous Itunes Libraries" which itself contains multiple Itunes Library files and multiple "previous Itunes Library files" with dates back to 2007. These I want to clean up and delete .... should I ? ... Can I ?

Whenever you install a new version of iTunes and run it teh first time, iTunes will create a backup of the current iTunes library file and copy it into \Music\iTunes\Previous iTunes libraries, then update the iTunes library file in \Music\iTunes\ for the current version of iTunes.

You can select multiple items using shift to select a range and control to add or remove items from it.
Regarding duplciates, Apple's official advice is here... HT2905 - How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group of identical tracks to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin. This can happen, for example, if you start iTunes with a disconnected external drive, then connect it, reimport from your media folder, then restart iTunes.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping, whether you do so by hand or using my script, in case something goes wrong.

Well, I guess my heading says it all. I am trying to delete multiple (like A LOT) of photos from my camera roll on my iphone 5 without connecting to my computer. All other instructions I've read on here do not work. (I'm not saying I read ALL instructions though) But the ones I've read, do not work.
I DO NOT want to connect to my computer to do this, so please read what I am asking! It HAS to be possible, it's just downright silly if it isn't and I'll be ****** about the 3 grand I've given to Apple in the last few months for various reasons...

I have a real mess. My wife (on her iPhone 4) chose to "add a playlist" in her music app. She did. We have iTunes Match set up on our Mac and all iPhone and iPad devices (4 iPhones and 3 iPads). Shift-click the photos or Ctrl-click them to select them, then right-click one of them and choose Delete from Catalog. They will all go together.
