Deleting music completely from nano

you must know this one.i got music i my nano now.and would like to clear it of my music and start over.do i need to have it connectd to my pc to do this.can u tell me how please.now when my nan is full is it possible to replace some of the music with something new without deleting my nano everytime. i sure this is an easy question and id be very thank full.

To delete all the music from your iPod nano, open the most recent version of the iPod updater you have installed and click the Restore button; this will erase everything currently on it.
To delete some of the music from your iPod nano, set it to sync manually. You can then add new music to it by dragging it onto the iPod in the iTunes source list, and delete music from it by selecting it on the iPod and pressing the Delete key.

Solved! Music was in Itunes folder but not in Media folder within that. It doesn't seem like a very user friendly system so far!

  • How to delete music albums from iPhone

How to delete music albums from iphone?

They're DEFINITELY pushing Apple users that way. I just saw yet ANOTHER new/incredible feature the Galaxay can do that Apple (I mean Tim Cook) can't even DREAM about doing.
At this point, it's becoming an embarrassement to even own an iPhone. *sigh*

On the iPhone, go to Settings > General > Usage > Music (in the Storage Section) > Tap Edit > Tap the Red Circle next to All Music > Tap Delete.

  • Delete music files from my pc

can I delete music files from my PC without having to lose them from my ipod classic. I dont see the need to clog up disc space with all the music I own on CD's so once I have them loaded onto my ipod I would like to erase them from my pc. If I then sync my ipod will it automatically delete everything that is no longer on my pc.

If you manually manage your music, you can do what you want. Check the "Manually manage music" box on the summary page in iTunes when the iPod is connected. Keep in mind that , should you ever need to restore your iPod, you may find that you'll need to re-rip all of your CDs. You may want to consider buying an external hard drive (I just picked up a terabyte drive for less than $150) and move your iTunes library there.
    Best of luck.

  • Deleting music straight from iphone in ios 6.0.1

hi, i recently purchased an album from itunes on my iphone (4, ios 6.0.1) synced my iphone to my computer and now i have the one ablum duplicated in my music app. is there any way of deleting music straight from iphone in ios 6.0.1?

Not if you're using iTunes Match.  You can only delete all downloaded music by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music, then tapping Delete.  Then redownload the music you want from iCloud.  If you aren't using iTunes Match, you can try swipping the album/songs to see if Delete appears; not sure if this works in iOS 6 or not.  (It doesn't with iTuens Match anymore.)

  • HT1660 when deleting music files from iTunes and you select Keep File, where is that file stored and how it is retireved?

when deleting music files from iTunes and you select Keep File, where is that file stored and how it is retrieved?

The file is just left where it was when it was connected to the library. Typically:
         <User>/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music/<Artist>/<Album>/## <Name>.<Ext>
If you want to add it back just drag it into iTunes. If you want to cull the files you kept previously add the entire iTunes Media folder back into iTunes (or use one of Doug's scripts that has the same effect), then delete (and don't keep) the recent additions.
Note that warning/prompt is only issued when the files you are removing are located inside the designated iTunes Media folder.

  • Sending Music signal from Nano into TV AV input to play on TV speakers

Have a Nano 4thgeneration. I just purchased the Apple Composite AV cable. Hooked it up to my TV's composite input (video, + Red/White audio). Played music on the Nano and hear nothing from the TV. The Nano manual talks about sending Video's from the nano out through the cable, and mentions setting your nano to send the video out. I don't have any videos on my Nano, and when I go to the Video setting on the nano, it doesn't allow you see any options (is this because I don't have a video loaded to the Nano??). The composite cable instructions indicates that if one's ipod doesn't support video, you can use the Composite cable for audio output. SO, if I had a video on my Nano, would I be able to 'set' the Nano to output to the Composite cable, and if so, would the Nano then also be sending the music? Seems very odd that you can't enable music out of the AV cable unless you have a video on the Nano in order to direct the output. HELP, all I want to do is listen to music from my Nano on my TV (which has very nice speakers)!!!

RJC_AUS, Welcome to the discussion area!
Is it possible to connect to the AV2 without the video channel?
That depends on the "Samsung LCD, model number LA40M61B". If the Samsung device allows it then it will work. If the Samsung device does not allow it it won't work.
This has nothing to do with the AirPort Express (AX). The AX ONLY supplies audio.

  • How to delete app completely from my Q10?

    Hi!
My bridge connection suddenly did not allow me to transfer files anymore so I decided to reinstall the BlackBerry Bridge App on my Q10. Here is what I did:
I deleted the app from my homescreen. I waited a little bit, went to BlackBerry World on my Q10 in order to re-install it. I searched for it in BBWorld but I could only click on "open". When I did that nothing happened. So I decided to go to "My World" in BB World and long-press on the icon there to either erase it completely or just de-install it. All I get is an error box saying "Error deinstalling BlackBerry Bridge". So I restarted the phone. Same problem. So I tried the deep reset or whatever it is called where you have to press the button on top of the Q10 for more than 30 seconds. I pressed it for more than one minute but all I received was a red LED and no reboot. So next thing I figured, install chrome on my pc to use that playbook/BB10 plugin and deinstall or force-install bridge from there. No chance, it does not show up in the list of apps installed. There are some processes I cannot deinstall that have "bridge" in them. I terminated them all, but to no avail.
Can anybody help me please? How can I completely delete an app if it is still shown in BlackBerry World as being installed?

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Solution:
    1. Go to BlackBery World.
    2. Swipe down from the top and tap on Settings.
    3. Tap on the first list item, something like "General settings" (in my German version: "Allgemein").
    4. Tap on the button at the bottom "Update BlackBerry World".
This solved the problem for me.

  • Transfer music files from Nano to iTunes/hard drive ...

I hope someone can help me ... my hard drive crashed recently so I lost all of my music files that were on iTunes because I did not back them up (smart, huh?). Fortunently, I do have most of my music on my Nano. I am trying to transfer all of the music files from the Nano to iTunes. I tried dragging the files, but that doesn't work. Does anyone know of another technique to use in order to accomplish this? Any help will be appreciated :)
MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

You can't sync your music back from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the files from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward..

  • I cannot add or delete music manually from my iphone

I used to be able to manually add or delete music from my iPhone 4S in iTunes.  I tried setting the phone to sync my library automatically and it filled up the phone, but now I can't get rid of any of it (and my storage is maxed out).
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

Manually managing music on the iphone 4s. I updated to the latest version of itunes. When I try to manually update my music, it will only give me the option to manag videos. I have tried restarting my iphone, nothing has helped.
    (1) Using the same computer to sync and update
    (2) checked and unchecked the option to manually manage videos.
    (3) no option to manually delete or add music. can anyone help me in fixing this issue.
    Thank you in advance

  • Possible to DELETE ERASE songs FROM NANO?

Wondering if its possible to delete/erase songs, podcasts and so on from the Nano itself? If not, are there any cool hacks that allow this? I'm not up to date on all the tricks and hacks but know some Apple people that hack all the time (even iPhone) not to use without AT&T but to add cool functions.
    Not sure where to look.
Just want to delete items from device without computer.
    Thanks

*Just want to delete items from device without computer.*
I'm afraid you can't delete songs directly from the Nano, all additions and deletions have to be made through iTunes on your computer.
