Deleting My Templates from iWork

Whoa!  I know this is a common question, with multiple answers.  Bear with me, please.
I have both the original iWork '09 and the new, IOS-related iWork '09 on my computer.  In other words, I'm a long-time user of the app.
When I go through the deleting procedure described, only templates created in the old iWork '09 are eliminated.  The templates I created in the new iWork are not in that Library/Applications Support/iWork/Numbers folder.
Any help/ideas on where they may be?
My Numbers app is v. 3.2 and my OS is v. 10.9.3

In Numbers '13, V3.2, unwanted personal templates are deleted by going to the Template Chooser, My Templates. Right click the one you want to eliminate and choose Delete.

  • Is it possible to delete a template from numbers?

I need to delete a template from numbers and can't seem to find a way to do it? Anyone else have this problem?

I'll assume you're using Lion or maybe Mountain Lion. Numbers stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Numbers > Templates > My Templates. The user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your user Library will appear about halfway down the list.

  • How do I delete my templates from Word 2011 in OSX 10.8.5

How do I delete my templates from Word 2011 in OSX 10.8.5?  I cannot find user/library in the finder.  Please help.

They will be in the MS Templates folder located in the MS Office folder in your Applications folder.
    Exposing the /Home/Library/ Folder
Pick one of the following methods:
    A. This method will make the folder visible permanently. Open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder and paste the following at the command prompt:
    chflags nohidden ~/Library
    Press RETURN.
    B. Click on the Desktop, press the OPTION (⌥) button, select Library from the Finder's Go menu.
    C. Select Go To Folder from the Finder's Go menu. Paste the following in the path field:
    ~/Library
    Press the Go button.

  • Delete Motion template from Final Cut Pro 7?

I installed a Motion template to use in a video, but there is something wrong with the template because it causes Final Cut Pro to crash every time I use it. It was almost impossible to remove the template from the video I was making because every time the template was clicked on, Final Cut Pro would freeze for a while and almost always end unexpectedly.
I don't really need the template so I'd like to just remove it. I cannot find a file or folder with the same name as the template in Finder anywhere. How do I delete this template?
I have Final Cut Pro 7 and Motion 4.

If you actually installed the M4 template, it should be in:
Library > Application Support > Final Cut Studio > Motion > Templates > (and you might need to figure out which one of the folders you find in there it is actually installed in.) With FCP closed, you can move it to another location (and trash the file in this path if "moving" it just makes a copy which will happen if you move it to another drive.)
FCPStudio allows you to apply a Motion Project right into the timeline... that would be different than installing it. Getting rid of that might mean you should find the original project and move it (or zip it up to save a copy) then trash the original.
What you should do is modify the template in Motion 4 for your timeline, then Export it. Make sure you set the Export option to ProRes 4444 and that Color + Alpha (for transparency) is selected in the Render Pane of the export dialog. You can then apply the output video to your FCP project.

  • Delete template from server

    Hi experts,
It is a simple question... how can delete a template from server?
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,

    Hi Victor,
Deleting the templates from uperform server is not a standard functionality as the template may be involved with many documents, recordings on the server.
Otherwise, those documents will be "orphan" since they will not have associated templates.
As a work around to prevent authors from using an outdated template to create new content I would suggest, removing the template's assignment to any projects. This will allow any existing content based on the template to continue to be usable, as well as prevent authors from creating new
content using an old template. To remove a template's assignment to a project, please perform the steps below:
    1.  From the uPerform Server, click Administration on the left menu.
    2. Click Server Administration in the Administration area.
    3. Click uPerform Templates in the Server Administration area.
    4. Click on the name of the template to be removed from a project.
    5. Click Assign Template on the left menu.
    6.  De-Select the checkbox next to the desired project(s) in the Assign
[Template Name].udt window. Optionally, to assign a template to all
projects in the list, click (select or unselect all).
    7. Click Save
    Regards,

  • Delete existing document templates from a workflow pattern

    Hi folks,
I have a workflow that uses the step that creates a document from a template (MS Word). Now I want to delete two of these templates and don´t want them to appear anymore when that workflow is being executed.
So i deleted the template from the workflow and also from the binding to the step.
I even deleted the template using the report RSWUODEL. But the "deleted" template still appears when the workflow is called.
I also tried to make a new version of the workflow: no use.
How can i get rid of these templates?
Background: I am in an IS-U system (ERP) and the workflow is called by a front office process out of the CIC.
    Any help is welcome!
    Holger

Deleted the whole step that creates the document. Created new step to create the MS document, defined the binding new.

  • How to delete duplicate templates in pages 09?

I want to delete duplicate templates from "My Templates" but can't.  Tried to drag them to the trash bin but they won't budge.  Can't find a delete command on the menu bar, either.

You can't delete templates or any file from within Pages, it's done from Finder. Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. The door to the user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your users Library will appear about halfway down the list.

  • Deleting Pages Templates:

I can't figure out how to delete a template from the MY TEMPLATES page.  I've read that the files are in: users/library/Application Support/iWork/Templates/My Template.  I can find Application support, but there is no iWORK folder.  A'm using Pages9.  Suggestions?

    Follow this Path exactly...
    users/yourname/library/application support/iwork/pages/templates/my templates
If using Lion... in Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu and your users Library will appear...

  • Deleting a template

can anybody explain in simple terms how to delete a template from i works that I created

    Hi Wolfe,
Welcome to Apple Discussions and the Numbers '09 forum.
Templates are files, and are deleted in the same manner as any other file on the Mac.
Go to the Finder, Navigate to the folder containing the file*, Click on the file's icon to select it, then
    Press command-delete
    OR
go File (menu) > Move to Trash
    OR
drag the icon to the Trash (found at the right end of the Dock).
    * To get to the folder containing your templates:
In a Finder window, click the House icon (your Home folder, shown below as yourname) then follow the rest of the path:
yourname > Library > Application Support > iWork > Numbers > Templates > My Templates
Templates you have created are in the My Templates folder.

  • Removing Custom Template in iWork (current)

This question was posed and answered in 2008, but things have changed, I think.  So I ask again, How do you delete custom templates from "My Templates" in the  current (2014) iWork Numbers and Pages?

Disregard.  I found the answer in a 2013 thread.

  • How do I delete a template in fcp x

I modified a text template from FCP X in Motion 5 and then saved it as a custom template. I now want to remove the custom template from my text template window. Right clicking does not give me this option and googling 'delete template fcpx' and other varients has not been fruitful.
Can someone please clue me in.
    Cheers,

Motion places those templates in your Movies folder in your Home folder.
    Movies/Motion Templates/
There will be additional folders inside for the various categories like Titles, Transitions, etc.
Delete the template from there and restart FCP X to update the list.

  • Delete a template in pages also how to delete a  page if you have more than one

Hi how do you delete a template from pages, also if you have more than one page and you only want one how do you delete the other page.

You have to navigate to the My Templates folder in the Application Support folder in your System Library which is hidden by default in OSX 10.7.5. Hold down the option key when you click on the Go menu in Finder and all will be revealed.
A page only exists because it has content on it, even if that is an invisible like a space, tab, return or page break. Click on the page you want to clear and delete the content.
    Menu > View > Show Layout/Invisibles
    to see what is there.

  • Deleting Templates from Numbers

Is it possible to edit or delete templates from My Template Chooser in Numbers?

You will navigate to a folder where your custom templates are kept, select and Delete the template.
In Finder, click on the Go menu (top line). While the Go menu items are displayed, press the Option/Alt key. This will reveal a normally hidden choice, "Library", about half way down the list. Choose this item.
A Finder window will open and you will then choose this path:
Application Support > iWork > Numbers > Templates > My Templates.
Identify your template and delete it (Move to Trash).
