Deleting of a Package

Hi,
i'm trying to delete a package, in SE80 you can see that its empty, but the system still says that the package contains objects, maybe in (released) transports, which are not transported anyhow. How can i find out which objects in which transport/request are still the objects belonging to that package?

Hi,
Goto Utilities -> Versions -> Version Management.
If the program is in a transport request which is not released you can find it under 'Version(s) in the development database:'. Otherwise in 'Version(s) in the version database:'.

  • Deletion of customized package

    Hi experts,
I need to delete a customized package which has subobjects. So i deleted each subobject individually into a transport request, I  released the TR. Now when i try to delete package it says there are sub objects in tht package. When i checked the TADIR table I still find the entries for theese subobjects for this package.
I know there is a question previously on this.. but i tried all those it did not work.
In one post they mentioned to delete using SE03 object directory entry, I tried tht but it says object is already distributed so cannot delete.
In another post they mentioned about deleting the entries using the test program by bruteforcing.
Is there any way i can delete the package?
    Thanks,
    sapuser.

    Hi,
Still the same error.'package contains sub objects'.
    Any one pls help me.

  • Delete uninstalled iOS6 package?

I have a feeling the answer to this question is going to be "you can't" but here goes anyway.
My iPhone automatically downloaded the iOS6 update package when it became available. I didn't want it to, it just did. It has been sitting on my phone waiting to be installed. I don't plan on installing it anytime soon and would like to delete it. It's taking up space and has me close to just over a gig left on phone in the Other category. Is there a way to remove this file as I can't find one?

    HI,
there is no way you can delete applied support  packages.
but if support packages fails, stage before ddic_activation you can delete from backend using SQL statements delete entries in PAT01 and PAT03 tables
there is no other way to delete SP from frontend
only SAP can help regarding this

  • Deleting the custom package from system

    Hello All,
I have created a custom package and added few custom programs.
I  have deleted the custom program first, they were deleted successfully.
At last I try to delete the custom package, I am getting a message as "The package still contains subobjects".
But actual all the objects related to package were deleted.
Please let me know how to delete the custom package completely from the system?
    Thanks,
    Feroz.

or I think you may remove the package (and its lock) from the transport request, delete the object directory entry of the package (SM30 TADIR), then you can delete the package. Or vice versa (I don't remember exactly).

  • Problem with change/delete structure in package

    Hello!
I got the task to delete a package in the ABAP Dictionary. In this package there are structures that I can´t delete. I get the following message:
You cannot edit object R3TR TABL Y1LASME with the standard editor
    Choose 'Display object' or 'Cancel'.
Y1LASME is one of the structures. The other one I don´t know.
So, how is it possible to delete this structure and then to delete the package?
    Thanks.

Did you do a where-used on the segment to see which extension it is still used in?
In that case the only thing you need to do is to go to transaction WE30, put in the extension name in object name, select extension radio button and go into change mode (don't forget to cancel release before doing that), then just set the cursor on your segment and cut it out, save and exit. Don't forget to set the release again.
In case the where used does say that it is not used any more than there is an inconsistency in your system or some navigation index is not up to date.
If you are 100% sure that the segment is definitely no longer used, you always have the possibility to debug :
Set a breakpoint in include MSED4F01 form routine segment_delete in line 184 (ECC6) at statement IF l_rc eq 0. which is fter the statement  PERFORM segment_check_usage USING pi_object l_rc.
The l_rc should be 4, so at that point just change it to 0 and the delete part will be executed.
HOWEVER - if this segment is still used in an extension any Idoc running in or out using this extension will at least no longer work or even dump!!!
    Hope that helps,
    Michael

  • SAP Note 1304803 - Manual Deletion vs Changing Package to SDEL

    Good afternoon, Experts
We're implementing this note and it is telling us to delete program TH_E070E but first it has us move it from package STRW to SDEL.  Package SDEL is labelled "Objects from SL Group Flagged for Deletion".
My question is - Since we've moved the program into package SDEL have we in affect "deleted" it or do we have to go further and actually now delete it altogether???
I'd appreciate any info you can share on this.
    Thanks,
    Chad

    Hello Chad
Yes, you have to manually delete it using se38->delete.
We did implement this note in our systems recently.
As per note, first while deleting TH_E070E using se38, did it give any message like: STRW doesn't exist ?
If yes, only then, I hope you have Changed Object Directory Entries, right ?
Now, you have to delete it manually using SE38 and now it should not give you message 'STRW doesn't exist', and will ask you for access key, both for developer and the object. Get it done from service.sap.com and put the access keys, program will be deleted.
    thanks

  • Self-Deleting Flashplayer12 Installation Package

Flashplayer 12's installation package, when downloaded and executed from a user's computer, deletes itself on completion of the installation ... why would an installation package do this (consider that such a download could serve as a marker of date/time of the package installation and/or content from which a PC configuration could be restored, or duplicated)?  Is it possible that the Flashplayer 12 installation package assumes that it is being web installed as opposed to downloaded and installed from the local machine, and that this is, in fact, a bug in the install package?

It's a "Stub" installer, and ALL stub installers self-delete. VLC, Firefox, both use stub installers now, which delete upon initialization of the download. Flash Player stub installers have done this since 2005 that I know of. And if you use the stub installer, it IS a web install. Thewre si no other way. you CAN'T install Flash Playe as a 1mb file. It's eighteen times that big as a FULL download and 54 times as big fully installed.
Windows System Restore keeps track of what was installed and when, right down to the second it was installed.
Additionally Windows "datestamps" the installed files.
You can see this in your Control Panel:
as well as "timestamping" the files in the folders where they're installed:
If you MUST HAVE a 17mb file to keep on hand in case of emergency (here's a hint: if you do a System Restore to a time BEFORE you downloaded it, WIndows will likely erase it), the  FULL installers are here:
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

  • Delete Duplicate rows in Data Package based on selection

    Hello experts,
I have the data coming from Oracle using DB_Connect. The data has duplicate order no. I need to delete the duplicate rows in the data package based selection before updating the data target.
I am thinking of writing this in updaterule start routine. I would greatly appreciate any sample code on selective deletion of data package rows.
    Thanks a lot!
    Sri

    Nagesh,
    Thanks for your reply.
Do I need write this in Update Start routine?
Another thing the order number field is coming from source system. Currently we are not mapping/assingning to InfoObject. In other words we are not seding order no to data target.
In my query can I write something like this...
DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM DATA_PACKAGE COMPARING DATA_Package-OrderNo
    Thanks a lot!

  • SAP Restart to Delete SQL Packages

I am starting this discussion on behalf of a client:
Especially the "veterans" of AS/400 remember, that in the beginning of SAP on AS/400 it was often necessary to stop the SAP instance and delete the SQL packages in order to overcome database errors that usually showed up as SQL -901 errors. This way of "fixing" SQL -901 became like a habit, so that support employees often recommended to stop the SAP instance and delete SQL packages when a simple restart of the failing work process would have fixed the problem. Later we recommended to use profile parameter rdisp/wp_auto_restart to restart work processes automatically once a day (for example), and that seemed to have solved the problem. However, my client is not quite convinced that this works and does not want to "play" with the production system. They are using an ECC 6.0 system with a 10 TB database and about 4000 active users.
Question to this group: Do you have systems with a similary size that run several weeks (or even months) without interruption for deleting SQL packages? If so, do you use profile parameter rdisp/wp_auto_restart, and what value is configured? Also "negative" answers are welcome, i.e. if you have the experience that the SQL packages must be deleted on a regular base for the sytem to work properly, please let us know, too.
Thanks a lot for your cooperation.
    Kind regards,
    Christian Bartels.

    Hi Christian and Jim,
Our production database is 8 TB with 3400 named users (1,000 or so concurrent).  We still are "old school" and delete the SQL packs during normal maintenance twice a month (either two or three week interval). I know we have gone longer if we were having a lot of go-lives but I don't think it has happened since we upgraded to ECC 6.0.
We did have some SQL pack issues a while ago but it turned out to be they were reaching the maximum size for table IBSYMBOL. Since then we set the QAQQINI value "SQL_INCREASE_PKG_LIMIT = *YES " which doubled the allowable size to 1GB I believe. We still were reaching the max and we ended up inserting a profile parameter.
    "dbs/db4/dbsl_tablehint0         =           Table = 'IBSYMBOL' & nMarkers > 100 ? SingleExecutionReuse"
Credits - Steve Tlusty of IBM came up with the fix
During that round of fun, Steve also had us adjust the following parameters -
    rdisp/noptime                        =             605800
    rdisp/wp_auto_restart          =             604800
Note - even though we are at 6.1.1 now, the adjustments were made on 4.7x200 while running under V5R4 so I don't know if they are still required.
    Have I rambled too long?

  • How to automate SQL packages deletion prior to IPL to apply PTF's ?

    Hi,
When PTF's need to be applied to the system to avoid trouble it is recommended to delete the SQL packages. The only way to do this that I know of is by using the R3MAIN menu to access the option to delete the SQL packages. As we have two instances on our system this is (to much) time consuming.
For this reason I would like to schedule a STOP of both SAP instances. Followed by some method to check if the SAP instance is down. If the SAP instance is down I would like to Delete the SQL packages and when this task completes I would like to send myself an e-mail confirming this deletion.
The pieces of the puzzle I am missing to achieve all this are:
    1. How to check if SAP is done ?
    2. How to delete the SQL packages for both instances in a program ?
Of course it would be perfect if it is possible to check for any active SAP users from a program also. I think I have the CL programming skills to write such a program and of course I want to share that information once the program has been tested and approved by me
    Regards, Rudi van Helvoirt

    Hi Rudi,
I would do it in QSTRUP after IPL, but that's a minor difference.
    with an *ALLOBJ user:
    CALL R3sid400/R3INLPGM
    DLTR3PKG sid
As this sometimes fails, I would code the DLTR3PKG 3-5 times into the CL - the second and more ones are done within a second - so no problem )
You do this for each SID and should be happy - as you do not want this with every IPL I guess, you might want to use a DTAARA in order to control this.

  • Need  a program to fetch the data from the package and delete the programs

i need a program which uses the selection screen as input parameters which should accept as package and after execution it should show all the programs in the list and then the programs should be deleted from the package.

    Hi
Use below query to fetch programs from the entered dev Class
SELECT * FROM tadir into table itab
    WHERE pgmid = 'R3TR'
    AND object = 'PROG'
    AND devclass = p_class.
In the program we can delete records from Tadir by looping ITAb,
but other program related tables will have this entry .
    Hope this Helps.
