Deleting of older version after upgrade

I have upgraded to PrPro 6.0 and also to Creative Suite 6.0. In order to save disc space, it is possible to delete the older e.g. CS 5.5 versions without "penalty"? Or are there still some files embedded which the newer version requires?

It is safe to uninstall the older versions.

Previously, customers who upgraded to version 7.5.0 were unable to revert to an older
version. Now customers can revert to older versions after upgrade.
Does it mean we can now revert to 7.1.4 version, if wsa was in 7.1.4 version before upgrade into 7.5.0-838 ?

Under the "AsyncOS Reversion" it states the following:
"AsyncOS for Web 7.5 supports the ability to revert the AsyncOS for Web operating
system to a previous qualified build for emergency uses. However, you cannot
revert to a version of AsyncOS for Web earlier than version 7.5."

After successfully installing and registering Photoshop CS5 upgrade, I would like to uninstall the previous CS3 version. Any Problem?

Uninstalling Photoshop CS3 will not cause any functionality issues with Photoshop CS5.
The application tends to store all files it needs to work properly with the upgrade.
Files, settings and plugins created or downloaded by you may be deleted. I would suggest you back them up before uninstalling.
In case you have any questions about backing up your settings or plugins, I would recommend that you post the same in the Photoshop Forum.

I use iBookAuthor to make a textbook for my students; I revised it, including title page, but when I export it and upload it to my iPad, the old title page appears, even though I've deleted the older version of the text before I upload the new one.

Last year I produced a textbook using iBookAuthor for my students. I exported it as an iBook and they uploaded it to their iPads. This year, I revised it, including revising the title page. However, when I upload the new version, the old title page is shown, not the new one. I deleted the older version of the textbook before I did this. I've been told that I can cut and paste each revised chapter into a new template and that will work; however, title page and glossary can't be cut and pasted. Any thoughts for getting the entire new version on the iPad? I'm also told that if it is uploaded to an iPad that never had a previous version of this textbook, it will upload correctly. But my iPad has had several older versions, now deleted.

I had a similar issue when trying to create an iBook file to submit for course credit for one of the Apple Learning Essentials classes I took. I had a book I'd started previously which I updated and submitted, and then had to make some edits to for the course evaluator. I made the edits, and when I previewed the book in iBooks Author, it looked correct, but whatever I sent to him only showed some of the edits - for example a new page I created was there, but some edits I made to image captions and the title page image were not.
What worked for me was to do a "Save as" of the actual Author file to a totally new location (I used the Desktop), and then submit that file - which seemed to work in terms of the changes sticking. I even used the same file name.
I'm not sure if some similar action might help you (maybe change the file name slightly?) or if you've already tried something like this.
Still doesn't change the fact that this is a pretty irritating bug.

How can i delete an 'older version of bonjour'

whenever i try and install the new itunes software, it comes up with an error message during the installatiion process saying that it can't delete the older version of bonjour. When i try and do it in install/uninstall progammes on control panel it won't let me uninstall bonjour either.
Basically, i can't download any new itunes software at the moment, so what can i do?

I have the same problem, they never told me that, just that the newest version of Java "locks" up streaming quotes.

No, you don't need to.

It should remove it for you unless you are on a Mac. If that's the case, you do not NEED to uninstall the older version but there really isn't any reason to keep it.

I've upgraded from CS5.5 to CS6...this is actually my 2nd or 3rd upgrade. It looks like all the older versions are still on the machine. Does installing an upgraded version still need all or parts of the older versions to work or can I uninstall the older versions of adobe software?

You are welcome to uninstall the older versions of the software using their uninstallers. You may need to set back up your file associations if you do so though. If you need additional information on either of these items then please post which operating system you are using.

Yes, if you have used you computer and feel you have all of the settings and preferences file you need then delete it.

Can't uninstall CC versions after upgrading to CC 2014

I've upgraded to CC 2014 a while ago and noticed that old versions are still installed. Well this is not the most convenient way, I can understand why, but the option to overwrite old version would be a good idea.
Anyway, I decided to unistall older versions myself, so I went to "Add or remove programs" in Windows 7 and find out that they are not there. I use Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, Indesign CC, Premiere Pro CC & After Efects and none of them is on the uninstall list and none of them has an unistall file in the folder.
I even tried IObit Uninstaller, but no luck either.
They all appear on CC App though and I don't want to just delete their folders.
Any ideas how can I remove them?

Thanks for the reply, but the article you suggested doesn't show any other method of uninstalation than using "Add or remove programs".
As I written in my question the problem is - programs are not listed in the "Add or remove programs" list, they are hover installed and listed in the Creative Cloud App.

Deleting/Uninstalling Older Versions of Adobe Photoshop/Reader

I would love to know the answer to this question:
After Adobe updates my current versions of Adobe Photoshop Starter, and my Adobe Reader, can I go to add/remove, or search files, and uninstall or delete everything that has to do with the older versions that I no longer use?
Recently my Adobe Reader updated to version 7. My computer came with Adobe Reader 4.0. So, that means I have versions 4, 5, and 6 (Adobe Reader), in my system, on my hard drive, and in add/remove programs.
Also, just yesterday, my Adobe Photoshop starter edition offered me an upgrade from version 2, to version 3. In this case, although the icon for version 2 remained on my desktop, a new icon for version 3 was created, and when I try to open the v. 2, windows cannot locate it..meaning of course it has been superceded by version 3.
So the simple question is this....do these Adobe versions share drivers? Can I uninstall or delete from add/remove programs, anything that has to do with the older versions of either of these programs? Especially the Adobe Reader stuff. I have an Icon on my desktop for each of these older versions, and if I open those icons its the older version that actually come up.
So, any advice? Leave well enough alone? Remove the older verisons to take back some of my hard drive space?

i appreciate the direct answer to my question.
my adobe reader update came directly from the older version of the adobe
reader.
in other words, i opened adobe 6.0 one day, and it either told me
automatically or i checked for a newer update, and it updated to 7.0.
but, when this update occured, it removed, or automtically uninstalled the
6.0 version from my add remove files.
and yet, the 5.0 and the 4.0 version are still in there.
so lets say i go ahead and uninstall both of those two older versions from
my add remove programs and leave the 7.0 version in there. and then i
have trouble with the newest version.
where would i go to re-download the 7.0 adobe reader? adobe.com i assume?
