Deleting Old Published Documents

So I am using Adobe Contribute CS4 in windows XP. I have been
working with contribute for a few months now but I do not
understand how to delete an old published document. My line of work
makes me update our website quite often and this is the easiest way
to go. So I publish documents then they come down in a few weeks.
The old ones are starting to pile up and my administrator told me
to get rid of them if we don't need them. They don't know how to do
it either though so I'm stuck! Please Help. Thanks.

Thank you Akhilesh Ravi. This works great when it comes to
deleting web pages. All of my documents are in PDF file format
(Easy for users to use and can view them in Adobe Reader for free)
and it takes contribute a long time to open it, if it can at all.
Is there another possible way to delete them?

When you enter in your delivery, you need to see what are the overall status in 'Status Overview'.
All the status need to be with 'A' (Not yet processed) or ' ' (not relevant).
When you try to delete the delivery, what message appears?
In most of the cases, the message inform what is the subsequent process that was processed.
Can you write the message?

Sorry no. That's how it works.
Check if you still have an old backup and do a restore otherwise it's gone.

Is there a best practice for deleting a published report from C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\FileStore on Crystal Reports Server or can I just delete the subfolders? Does it reference them elsewhere? I have a load of old reports I need to shed, but can't see how to do it.

How do I create a new user, move my old files etc over, and delete old user

This is why I think I need to.
My computer got hit by lightening, and I may have created a new user account through netinfo rather than system preferences /accounts/+user. Mail used to open twice, but no longer. Now, Safari askes me for my keychain password twice, Spotlight can't find a folder on the computer when the search is restricted to folder and computer, though the folder is there and easyfind finds it, and when System Preferences/Spotlight/Privacy has the hard drive icon added, then deleted, Spotlight still does not find anything. (Yes, everything is backed up, on CD, DVD, and online.) Microsoft Tec Support says

I believe Microsoft. So, creating a new user was easy.
But copying files uses up too much hard drive (movies, music), and may miss keychains, preferences, mail, address book, and documents. Since Spotlight no longer works, who knows what is happening. (Yes, I've repaired persmissions, and disk repair. No change). I'm using up my hard drive trying to move files to the new user. If I share files, or put them into a public folder, then delete the old user, will I still have the old user's files in the new user's account? It is not clear to me what I should be trying to do in order to create a new user, move my old files etc over, and delete old user. Thanks.
My responses will be slow, because I have to drive to town to use the internet. I've ordered a new airport which may take care of that problem. SO be patient.

I need to do the EXACT same thing, but have no idea how. Has anyone out there done this?
My situation is a tad different..this is a new Mac (and I'm a brand new Mac user). Tons of querks occur under my original account (videos won't run, Safari won't support certain plug-ins). I spent 6 hours on the phone w/ 4 different Apple Reps and nobody could fix it. A rep finally looked at my MacBook Pro in person today. He created a new account just to see if that would work and under that new account, everything works perfectly fine (no querks, can view video). He tried switching a million settings in my original account to no avail.
He said to create a new account (as he did) and move my files over to the new account and then go back to the original and delete it. How do you do this?! I can't figure it out! I've got a new account created, but of course it just has the default folders in it w/ the little red icons next to them! Thanks in advance!

here is the problem :
- A library is set with versionning (draft and published) documents.
- the library contain this documents
- DOC A : version 1.3 : version 1.0 is published
- DOC B : version 2.4 : version 2.0 was unpublished
- Adam is a contributor of this library. He can create, edit, delete, publish, unpublish a document. His list view display DOC A v1.3 and DOC B version 2.4.
- John is a reader of this library. He can only read the published documents. His list view display DOC A v1.0 only.
To manage this library, Adam want to have the same view of this library as John. He want to view only the published documents.
How can I give a published document view to Adam ?
My first reflexe was to do a view filtering the versions containing ".0". The problem is that DOC A not appear, because the visibility version of this document is 1.3 for Adam (and 1.0 for John)
How can I give him a published document view? perhaps with programmation, SharePoint Designer,...

Give Adam a test account with the same permissions as John. It's the only way to be sure.

Why Indesign CS6 keeps opening the same old Indesign documents multiple times?

I just installed the Indesign CS6 trial version before I purchase the professional version. I opened one of my old Indesign file from CS5 and a weird thing is hapenning on Indesing CS6. Everytime I click on the page or tab of the Indesign file that I am working on (test.indd, see attached), a new file is created from a different Indesign CS5 file (edu_lipper_conv_backpage.indd, see attached). Indesign CS6 will not stop duplicating this file until and force quit Indesign CS6. Attached is a screen shot with additional information about what is happening. Thanks, Jeneffer

Try a clearer explanation, please. Your original post claims that the windows with old converted documents are spawned whenever you click on a page or tab; your most recent post cliams that it happens only in the digital publishing workspace when you create a button. Does it not happen in another workspace?
Why do you have to force quit? Doing so with files open will cause files to re-open from your Recovery folder, so you should stop force quitting ID and quit the normal way. That is what the Recovery folder is for, after all - to automatically re-open docs that were open when ID crashes, or when you force quit.
I have to agree with you, though - I think it's a bug, too, that has to do with how Lion works. You may have to wait for a patch to be released by Adobe (or Apple!), or you may have to reinstall CS6. I don't know if it will help, but you could try replacing your preferences first.

Best practices to delete old content

What is the best way to delete old content? The amount of data (documents and recordings) is growing steadily and our server is running out of disc space. According to our policy documents and recordings older than 6 months can be removed.

Remove the application from your applications folder.
Then navigate to the ~/Library/Application Support folder and delete everything in there associated with the specific program.
Also navigate to the /Library/Application Support folder and delete the files specific to the program.
~/Library/Preferences to delete the preferences you have for that specific application for when/if you reinstall it.
That's basically the most thorough way to remove something from your mac.

Delete Pages Startup Document?

Every time I start Pages, a non-blank document opens, even before the template chooser appears. The document is an old document that I deleted from my documents folder, yet Pages opens it as "Untitled.pages." I have searched high and low for an answer, yet can't seem to find where this "untitled.pages" document is residing.
How can I prevent Pages from opening this document EVERY TIME I start Pages? I have checked the "Preferences" section, yet find no reference to Pages behavior on startup.

Check the second (Use tmplate) then click choose and choose the template you want to open when you start up.

Look at these forums- literally thousands of posts complaining about the new version.
Use the new one to open only documents you know you have backed up becuase it can destroy formatting. Play around with it and see if it suits your needs before ditching the old, working versions.

How to recreate old .indd document into a new one

Last year I did a catalogue of sportswear products. It contained about 550 items and each cell-item had about 3 images and 5 textframes. Now I am creating a new catalogue, which should contain about 80% of old items. The images & information according to the product will be just the same. The problem is, that it has to have a completely different look {layout & styling, etc.}.
I would like to ask for a master-adwice: Do I have to cut & paste 10 000 times the images & textframes from old INDD file to the new one and restyle & resize & repose all afterwards or is there some sophisticated recipe how to use the computing power of my machine and simple tell the program, that all the textfields in old INDD document styled by "Header 01" should be imported to the textframes styled by "NewHeader 01" in the new INDD document? Or something with Named Ranges:
Old-INDD > Excel > New-INDD?
I am eager to find the way how to save a week of monkey work of Ctrl+C > V

If you delete a used paragraph style, InDesign asks you with what it should be replaced. Is that easy enough? :-)
But you do have to take care to inspect the original style for "based on" features, as well as all other styles that are derived from it.
Are the style changes so big you cannot get away with re-defining the existing one?

There are a number of ways to delete pictures from the Camera Roll. One is to open Camera Roll in the thumbnail view, tap the arrow button (top right), tap all the pictures you want to delete, tap the Delete button ant the bottom. Photo Library pictures are deleted by unchecking Sync Photos on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings, followed by syncing your phone.
