Deleting old purchased music

I have some music that I want to get rid of, I have grown tired of listening to it. So I went ahead and deleted the songs I didn't want anymore. What happens is once I plug the iPod touch into the MacBook, they automatically seem to come right back! How can I permanently get rid of these songs I do not wish to listen to anymore, and if possible, is there a way I can restore iTunes? Since of course, it used to ask me if I wanted my old purchased music back in the beginning.
Thanks again

You need to Manage you iPod MANUALLY. Set it to manually manage my iPod in the window that opens up when connecting the iPod to iTunes and then you can delete or add songs, movies, etc.
If you leave it in automatic sync mode it will always match what is in iTunes to the iPod

There is no option avalable in order to redown load these songs again.

Whether you can redownload music depends upon what country that you are in, whether you've changed countries since buying it, and whethet it's still in your country. What you can redownload will show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage :
If not all of your music shows there then check to see if any is hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919

  • Lost my Iphone and labtop with Windows 7. Got new Iphone and PC, but can only find old purchased music in Purchase History via Itunes on pc, but not get it sync to new Iphone.

Got new Iphone and labtop with Windows 7.
Now can only find the old purchased music via old phone in Purchase History.
How can I get the purchased files into Music list in Itunes, in order to sync with new Iphone ?

Go to the iTunes app on your iPhone. On the bottom tap Purchased. Once that loads, choose the Artist you just downloaded, then the album, then click the cloud icon. This will download the music to your iPhone and will not charge you for it.

  • Deleted Shared/Purchased Music Playlist

Like an idiot, I deleted my "Purchased/Shared Music Folder." I tried to reinstall iTunes to see if they would come back, but that plan proved unsucessful. Any help would be appreciated to get these playlists back....

Hakubi, I would suggest you start your own thread fully explaining what your issue is, instead of just saying "my gthing is checked, & it still doen't appear." You have posten in a thread that is a month old & if I hadn't had my e-mail subscription turned on, I would neve have know about your post. It's also more courteous not to disrupt the original poster's thread with what may be a similar but unrelated topic. Thanks!

  • How can I delete iTunes purchased music

Music I purchsed from iTunes is synced to my iPad. However, there are a couple of tracks I do not want but can find no way to delete them. I have deleted them from my iMac and Mac Mini but they still apear on the iPad. It's no big deal but I like to have control over devices I own and this is an irritation. How can I permanently delete purchased music from the iPad?

OK so I'm answering my own question. After deleting purchased music from my iMac and Mac Mini, it still appeared on my iPad. However, on opening Music in the iPad, I found that by holding my finger against the track I wanted to delete and swiping to the right, a red DELETE tag appeared at the right-hand end of the track title line. Tapping this tab deleted the title and it has not returned. I repeated this for all of the purchased titles I wanted to remove and it has worked.
I have not found any reference to this facility elsewhere but, believe me, it works.

  • Where can I find my old purchased music that disappeared?

When trying to upload music from my flashdrive from an old computer to my new computer, i followed the steps online to upload music from the external drive. I had purchased music on my new computer from iTunes, and its gone now. What can I do to get it back? I have already tried following the steps online.

What steps did you use... The new iTunes does have a section that allows you to re-download past purchases. I actually used it the other day - yesterday in fact. It did work....

  • Deleteing Old Purchasing Attachments

    Hello All,
We currently have A LOT of old purchase order attachments in our purchasing system. These are all kinds of files (.xls, .doc, .jpg, .pdf, etc. etc.) attached to requisitions and purchase orders. They are taking up a lot of space in our database (we think.) I can't find any documentation about managing these attachments
    My questions are:
    - How are these files stored? I think think they are large chunkc of ORABLOB data (or somthing) in the database somewhere... is there a table where these are?
    - What is an effective way to delete old attachments?
Another question: Everytime a buyer runs a 'Print PO' program, it generates a .pdf output file. I think all these .pdfs are saved with the PO... is this so? And, if so, is there an effective way to manage those? Can I delete those somehow?
Any information or insight in hopw to effectively manage and maintain the Purchasing attamnets is much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Thank Gareth.
Using fnd_documents_pkg.delete_row seems a bit scary. Have you thought of posting an example on your blog on how the fnd_documents_pkg.delete_row might look? It would have to clean it out from fnd_lobs as well.
    Anyway...thank for your input.

  • Deleting IPHONE PURCHASED music

I bought childrens music with my iPhone. I no longer want these tracks in my iPhone. How do I delete the music I purchased with my phone.

You can't delete music from an iPhone.
After purchasing music with your iPhone, the music should be transferred to your iTunes library with the first sync after doing so - along with an iTunes playlist created under Store named Purchased on - the name of your iPhone.
In order to remove the music from your iPhone, you need to deselect the music under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences. If you have chosen to sync selected playlists for your iPhone sync preferences, deselect this playlist in the window below followed by a sync.

  • New mac, can't authorize my old purchased music

I bought a new mac after my last one crashed, I am logged into itunes but it won't let me authorize my computer to play my purchased music.  I am signed in to my account and have bought more music, but can't authorize songs I purchased on my last computer. When I enter my information the same screen pops up again and says to enter my information.  My account name and password are correct because I can access my account info and the itunes store.

I have exactly the same problem, but with an added issue: This MacPro is the SAME one I used to have all my authorized music on, but after Apple repaired the heatsinks on my motherboard, iTunes thinks it's a new computer and won't authorize my old music.
Additionally, when the window asking me to authorize the old music pops up, it shows my old e-mail address, which is no longer in service. So now I'm wondering if I am supposed to log in with this old address. When I try to do that (I still know the password), it says I entered something wrong... but I can't have it send me my "forgotten" password for the old e-mail address, because it says it's going to send it to my old address!
I have no problem logging in with my new address, but when I try to "Authorize This Computer" under the Store menu, iTunes tells me this computer is already authorized. So why can't I access all that old music? We're talking almost 1,000 songs that I now can't play!
Thanks for any and all help with this!

  • Trouble Accessing Old Purchased Music

    Hello Apple Users,
I recently upgraded my computer. I use the same iTunes account and I have authorized my new computer. However when I check for Purchased Music to download to my new computer, the list does not include some of the early music that I purchased. When I check my account preferences I do get a COMPLETE list in PURCHASE HISTORY.
Why can't I access the early music I purchased? How can I access them? I have the old songs that I purchased on my old iPod but it does not allow me to copy them to the new computer from the iPod either.
Please help! I want to get access to my old purchased songs on my new computer. Thanks!
    - Johanna

    Johanna,
"Check for purchsed music..." will work on tracks only that haven't been downloaded yet. To transfer tracks from your to your new computer refer to http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93063
If you can't access your old computer anymore there are tools available like SENUTI, IPODRIP, IPOD ACCESS that will allow to copy music from an iPod to a computer.

  • Itunes Old Purchased music

hey ive been an itunes user since the begining , and as such I have have bought a lot of songs throughout my relationship with itunes
and my music collection is better than average . recently i noticed that some of my old purchases can be converter by merely selecting
and choosing a new option for itunes purchased materials .  WELL AMEN ! .... but , i still have almost 1,000 songs which were too old for
this process . Why shouldnt these songs be converted ? why should i burn a 100 cds when i dont need to ? more then the cd , why should
i waste my own time? and thats what it really comes down to for me , time . am I being punished for being a long time itunes CUSTOMER ?
Why should i do half hack work arounds to get my files completely playable and BURNable ?  so because i didnt buy these songs yesterday ?
im somehow less important , when in fact It was the opposite as with anything , in itunes store , those who were there at its infancy should be honored
    not shunned
all i request is that i can down load these songs again for free , or you can somehow update itunes to allow me to convert them
as if i HAD bought them today
and maybe a smile and a thank you
    and thats it

they are still very much forsale ......
burning 100 cds would take a **** of a lot more time then posting a thread .....
my post was pretty straight forward too

  • Hi was wondering how i get back all my purchased music from itunes. i plugged my phone in to my computer and it syned all my old purchased music from my ipod list and not all my new purchased music is gone.

I am having trouble getting back all my purchased music from itunes

Does music show in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone and the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes for redownloading ? Whether music will show there will depend upon what country that you are in - and even if music does show it will also depend upon whether it's still in your country's store.
If you aren't in a country where you can redownload music and you don't have copies of it anywhere, then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
