  • I setup messaging on my verizon, however I have multiple lines on the account and it is showing messaging only for one phone line. Is there a way to toggle between multiple lines on the myverizon site?

How do I toggle between multiple phone lines while on the myverizon website in regards to messaging?

The Account Owner can see the call/text logs for all lines on the account, but each line needs its own My Verizon account for messaging and backups.  Those lines will be listed as Account Members and will have limited info. available to them regarding the account.

  • How can I delete a phone line from my account

I have two lines that recently passed the 2-year contract date.  I now live overseas and have no use for them, but I can't find a way to delete them online and I can't get any kind of live help via Live Chat or by Calling Verizon via Skype (which is the only means I have to ring back to the US).  Does anyone know of a way to delete a line via My Verizon?  If not, has anyone been successful reaching Verizon via Live Chat or Skype when overseas?  Thanks!

You cannot do it online. Only speaking with CS or stopping by a Verizon store would you be able to do so.
In your case, you would want to contact their global number. View the following page for contact instructions while living/traveling abroad.

  • How to delete one number in the dial pad dropdown ...

When calling a phone number from Skype, I mistyped the phone number.  Now whenever I call a phone number, the dial pad's dropdown list includes the mistyped phone number.  I want to delete that single number from the dial pad's dropdown list.
Unfortunately I obeyed some people's suggestions in other topics.  Now the contents of all chat histories with all ordinary Skype contacts are gone.  I used to save logs of those forever, but the attempt to delete one phone call history actually deleted all chat histories with everyone.  That was not what I wanted. ... And then, to add insult to injury, whenever I call a phone number, the dial pad's dropdown list still includes the mistyped phone number that I want to delete.
Is there any way to do it?
Even though I make more typos than everyone else, even though my keyboard's Backspace button gets a pounding, surely I'm not the only one?

NOT My day - just typed out a message and clicked Preview. The message is gone. Short reply - this is suppose, at heart, to be a telephone system. BASICS like keyboard entry error correction should be available (in an intuitive way). Backspace doesn't erase last entry and you cannot even delete ALL the entry. Would you fix this or explain why it cannot be done - and then find out how it can.

  • Small Office fax problem through verizon phone line

Instead of sitting on the phone for 3 hours I figured I would try this first. I have a small office with Verizon internet and phone. I have one phone line, a credited machine, a computer and a 4 in one print scan fax copy. I was just wondering if anyone knew witch of these devices are supposed to be connected directly to the phone ports. Im having a problem sending out faxes after another employee moved around wires. Please and think you for any help! Or if you suggest me posting this some where else please let me know.

There is no standard way to determine what is connected directly into the phone line.
Here is my 2 cents though.  Generally a fax machine is connected directly into the VZ Phone Jack and a phone will connect off the fax machine.  The reason for this is in case a fax is being sent or received the fax machine will block the phone port so your landline phone will not interupt the fax transmission.  I'm not sure if the credit card machine does the same with it disconnecting your phone line so credit card transactions don't get interupted when transmitting.  If so then you can plug the credit card machine into the fax and then hang the phone off the credit card machine.  The phone should be the last one in line.

  • Setting up fax and voicemail on same phone line.

I have one phone line with voicemail and fax.  How do I set up the fax so voicemail doesn't pick up my faxes and the fax doesn't pick up my voicemail messages?  I have the fax and phone going through a splitter.  I just discontinued my separate phone line I used for faxing and internet and want to use a single phone line for everything.  Thanks in advance for any suggestions.  Auntalee

If you have Verizon Home Voicemail (the kind you access by dialing a phone number i.e. no answering machine) I can't see how it would work.
Some fax machines can answer the phone listen for the fax tones and if it doesn't hear them it rings another phone or answering machine connected to it.
It comes down to something has to answer the phone, figure out what kind of call it is a route it to either a answering machine or a fax machine.
The only other way to do it with one line and Verizon voice mail is to get something called Distinctive Ringing service (if its available for Fios).  You get another phone number but not another physical line.  The one phone line rings differently for each number.  The fax machine must then have the distinctive ring feature and be setup to only answer it's ring.  The other ring it ignores which means VM will pick it up.
    Good luck

  • I was wondering, would be able to use my eligible upgrade on 1 phone line to buy a phone for another line?

Hey, I was wondering if I would be able to use my eligible upgrade on one phone line to buy a phone for another line?.
Also, I saw a commercial on TV about getting a plan with 10 gb of data for like 130 a month, that does include the cost of both phones instead of 130 + 40 + 40 for each smartphone on the line?...

The $130 price is actually $110 and is for 2 situations, none of which involve subsidized contract upgrade.
    1) Edge payment plan. Cost of service is $110, but then the monthly phone payment added to that, usually around $25/phone
    2) phones out of contract, then it is $110 with no extra charges.
The the costs break down is $80 for data, and $15/line

  • Too Many Phone Lines!

    Hi there,
I'm looking into simplifying my BT set up at home. We currently have two separate accounts - one for the main house and one for the basement flat. Each account has two lines, but we only really need one phone line for broadband and calls. Is it easily possible to consolidate all these lines into one simple account?
    Thanks
    Richard
    Solved!

Ring BTs UK sales on 08007830056, they should be able to help. You will need both account numbers to hand.

  • Cancel one phone and get started with internet for the house

I have 2 phones on my account one for and and the other for my wife, now we work together and pretty much using one phone so im paying for 2 phones while only using one.
I want to just get rid of that phone on my account and start up Internet at our new home so im actually paying for something instead of wasting.
how do i go about that do i still pay a cancellation fee for the 2nd phone to?

Thanks so much for visiting the community to post your question.
You said you are looking to get internet,  Are you looking to get one of our USB Modems or highspeed internet at home?
If you are looking to just cancel one phone line, it absolutely can be done. If you are still under contact with the one line you want to cancel, then there will be an ETF (early termination fee).
If there is an ETF on the line of service that you are looking to cancel, you may be able to check with friends or family members to see if anyone is looking to take over the line and put it in their name which is called an Assumption of Liability.
An AOL (assumption of liability) change (formerly known as: name change, transfer of liability, billing responsible party change, etc.) is the process of transferring an account's financial liability from an existing Account Owner to another Account Owner.

  • Hi, how can I limit the number of emails I can see on my iPhone 5. Every time in delete one and older email gets added from my live.co.uk account (where I want to keep my 2500 emails) I just don't want many on my phone. Thanks

You can't. Why on earth would you attempt to manage 2500 emails with setting up a folder structure or some means of doing so? Simply keeping them in an single inbox is not realistic, no matter what email client you use.

  • Issues ordering with 2 phone lines on one account.

After being on the phone for half an hour on Friday the woman seemed to understand everything but we got no confirmation message so I called again today and after spending an hour on the phone was told to call back tommorow.. Not getting my hopes up of it working.
The lady didn't seem to really know how to place orders when we had 2 diffrent phone lines on the same account.
Currently we have 2 phone lines, one without broadband and one on BT Broadband "Upto 8Mbps" and recently Infinity became available in the area. We want to get Infinity setup on the line that has no connection and once it is up and running cancel the current Broadband and the phone line it is on. I understand this will incur a £30 fee to remove the broadband (not sure if theres a further fee to cancel the phone line, the lady didn't mention one though).
On Friday the lady we talked to also said we would have to pay extra to keep the current call plan with Infinity doing this method but the lady I talked to today didn't mention it.
The forum mods are pretty good on here so I was hoping they could sort it out as I'm starting to lose hope..

After spending about an hour on the phone today it seems we got it sorted out.
Apparently you can't have 2 broadband packages on one account even with 2 phone lines so we had to get a seperate account setup just for the Infinity broadband. Once we cancel the old broadband though apparently we can merge it together and the price will go from £30 down to £26.
We wasn't given the account number for the new account but I assume it wont be an issue when the time comes to merge the accounts (however we do that I'm not quite sure).
But we got the confirmation email so I assume everything is okay... The Openreach engineer will be coming a week later than the original date we had planned but it will do I suppose.
    Thanks

  • Two phone lines on the same SIM card - but which one is active?

I have two phone lines on my SIM card. Of course, only one of them can be active at one time. The switch between them is done through a SIM application which is loaded on the SIM card (supplied by the carrier)
My question is that, sometimes I forget which line is the active one. Is there any way of seeing my active phone line?
All my prior not-so-smartphones showed Line1 or Line2 in the home screen. But i could not find if iphone does this.
P.S. settings-phone-my number does not answer this question, as it always displays the phone number that the iphone is registered to.
    Thanks

Your husband needs to put his sim in an iPhone & turn iMessage off to fix this. If your husband setup a support profile with Apple, he can also login to that support profile & remove the phone.

  • HT204053 My wife and I have an iphone each using one apple id. How do we stop items being deleted from one phone and then find it has been deleted from the other?

My wife and I have an iphone each using one apple id. How do we stop phone contacts being deleted from one phone and then find it has been deleted from the other?
Also this works when one of us downloads an app it appears on the other iphone

You need to use separate iCloud accounts. This will mean that you can both have your own separate contracts and calendars and put an end to them being deleted by each other.
Whether or not you have a separate iTunes account, is up to you. If you have a separate iTunes accounts you will not be able to access the music, books, apps that have been purchased by the other. This may be exactly what you want, but it also means that you both may end up purchasing the same item.

  • Can I have two phone lines on my iPhone 4G (one for biz and one for personal calls)?

can I have two phone lines on my iPhone 4G (one for biz and one for personal calls)?

FWIW, from my experience I was not able to get this to work.  When I conected a second bluetooth audio device the first device disconnected.
