Deleting operations in master recipe of process orders

Dear Guru's,
I want to delete the operations in master recipe of process orders. The operation numbers are different in different process orders. This activity has to be performed on bit large number of process orders. Can anyone help me in providing the process for doing this activity in mass. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Kalyan

Dear Kalyan,
Why do you want to delete the operations(basically phases)at process order level?
If it's really required to execute the Shop floor activties and if the order numbers is huge in number means then in my
understanding only a LSMW/BDC can help you,but technically I'm concerned about selecting the operation/phases for deletion
by passing on the confirmation number or operation number for a particular process order.
If it would be the latest operation/phase for a product means then make the changes in the master recipe so that the same is
getting copied into the process orders in the future.
Check and correct me if I'm wrong.

  • Enabling Xsteps in master recipe and process order

    Hi experts,
I am trying to enable the Xsteps by assigning 'Xsteps' in Master recipe profile. But Xsteps tab is not getting enabled in master recipe. I think this is the only one setting to activate Xstep. Can anybody help me on this.? IS this a technical issue(Something related to basis?)
Similarly I dont see the Xsteps tab in process order also. Is the SAP version a reason for this. I think Xsteps functionality are available from 4.7 onwards.
Can anybody help me on this please?
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear experts,
I encounter the same problem of Prathib. I'm working on ECC 6.0 and would like to use Xsteps. The repository is available (R/3 Enterprise SCM Extension 2.0 is imported) and I created several xsteps but i cannot imprt them in the master recipe because the button "Xsteps" is not active in C202, even the recipe profile is correctly set to PI01_XS.
All SAP notes i found (01466 and 607815) are referring to 4.7 and are correctly implemented in my system. So the customizing and extensions are in place, but the button "Xsteps" is not active.
Can anybody help and suggest further settings i need to do in order to use xsteps?
    Thanks & Regards.

  • Operation does not fetch in process order

    hi PP-Pi gru,
when i am creating process order from planed order , operation ( master recipe) does not fetch in process order..only take default operation 10, kindly suggest me how all operation will fetch in process order
another mater is when assign production profile  in  t- code CORU show the error massage  " production scheduling profile for plant ALIV,order type does not exist"...but we have used stander order type PI01..kindly suggest me
    Rogers
    Aqueel

    Hi,
Check In master Recipe ,in the PI Tab,There must be some PI category is assigned and in that PI Category, this PI Charactiristic has been assigned.
First goto that Phase of the Master Recipe and then goto PI tab and then find the PI category.
You need to define production scheduling profile for your plant in OPKP which is assign to order type dependent parameter  COR4 In planning screen. Please check. Also check the work scheduling view of material master.

  • Read the valid Operation/Activity Master Recipe data using an FM

    Dear all,
Can anyone guide me to a function module, which could read the relevant master recipe data taking the validity date into consideration. i.e. the function module should return the correct valid data based on the Key Date.
Is there such a function module, and could anyone give an example of using this.
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Dabre

    Hi Ravi,
Thanks for the response, but does not seem like this FM would give me the required information, since this seems to be taking the process order number etc as the importing parameters.
I would need to pass something like the recipe type, recipe group and maybe the recipe counter along with the Key Date inorder to get the valid operations/activities for the period.
    Best Regards,

  • Read Master Data for Process order status change (REL to CRTD)

I am unable to read master data and thus change the status of process order from REL to CRTD. (COR2)
The reason it says, error in BOM reading, Transport Requirement (TR) already generated.
Even after deleting the TR (LB02), the issue still exists.
Is there another way of changing the status or some more steps are needed for the TR deletion?
    Thnx!
    Abhi.

    Order header Status-
    REL  Released
    MSPT Material shortage
    PRT  Printed
    PRC  Pre-costed
    BASC Batch assignment complete
BCRQ Order to be handled in batches
    SETC Settlement rule create.
In the error log it gives-
    Diagnosis
Transfer requirements have already been generated, so therefore the bill of material cannot be read.
    System Response
The system does not execute the action.
Then I deleted the TR (LB02), but still I cannot reread the master data.
The MSPT was for only 2 materials out of 6 and there is no GMPS status.
There is prod supply area and control cycle used.
and the TR generated at order release.

  • Missing operations and dummy activity in process order

    Hi,
we currently maintain several alternate modes in PP/DS PPMs in APO.
When we create a planned order in APO, CIF to R/3, then do conversion to process order in R/3 everything is fine.
When we create a planned order in APO, CIF to R/3, then do conversion to process order in APO, all of the operations are missing and there is a dummy activity present.
We also noted this only occurs when the mode selected in APO by default uses a different resource than the one assigned to the PPM's recipe back in R/3. That is, if the recipe in R/3 uses resource LINE_01 and APO selects resource LINE_02 by default, the issue occurs. If the recipe uses LINE_02 and the APO selects LINE_02 by default, then everything is fine.
Has anyone seen this behavior before ?
    Thanks,
    Roger

    Hi Visu,
For right now, the planned order is created in the product view.
In R/3, the recipe has an operation which uses LINE_01 resource (let's say, production version is L1)
In APO, there are several alternate modes :
    LINE_01
    LINE_02
    LINE_03
By default, when the planned order is created in the product view, the mode with the shortest duration is chosen.  In this case, if I create a planned order using the PPM for production version L1, and LINE_03 happens to have the shortest duration, then the order is created for LINE_03.  Since LINE_03 is not the resource used in the recipe for production version L1, we run into the issue I mentioned previously.
Coincidently, I also noticed that the R/3 process order type is set to schedule automatically.
When I go into edit mode on the process order operation, make no changes, but then save the order the correct resource and operations reappear in APO.

    Roger

  • QM operation in Master Recipe

    Hi Experts,
We maintain QM operations in the Master recipe along with PP operations.
In my scenario - operations are maitained in following order
    1)QM operation 1
    2)PP operation 1
    3)QM operation 2
    4)QM operation 3
    5)PP operation 2
Now untill and unless Quality validate the QM operation 1  , PP cant be able to confirm PP operation 1 .
Same like in order for operation 2 and 3.
Plz guide to map the scenarios.
    Regards
    saurabh

    Dear Saurabh
You need to make the Sequencing also mandatory
in OPK4> For order type plant > in Generally valid settings maintain under Operation sequence > Error when operation sequence is not adhered to
By this it makes the operation 10 to be confirmed for operation 20 to be confirmed
Also make the overdelivery tolerance -  error when overdelivery tolerance is exceeded

  • Read Master Data on Process Order

    Hi there,
We have a process order in status CRTD PRC  APNG APRS BCRQ MANC SETC.  But when user try to initiate a Read Master Data for Prod Version / Master Recipe / BOM, system is giving this error log:
No approval: production version 0001 has not been approved
    Unreleased engineering change orders:
Engineering change order 500000000001 has not been released
I have checked on the Change Number for both the Master Recipe and Bill of Material and everything seems to be correct.  Why does SAP prompting "No approval: production version 0001 has not been approved" and why is SAP trying to read Engineering Change Order 500000000001?  This is an old one possibly the first Engineering Change Order generated...
    Cheers

    Dear,
As per GMP Steps are as,
The procedure in the environment requiring an approval is the following:
    -> Create
    1. Create new production version, without specifying recipes and bill of material.
    2. Assign a change number which is valid for the recipe and the bill of material to be entered to the production version.
    3. Enter recipe and bill of material in the production version or if external number assignment of the recipe is required, make no entry in the recipe group.
    4. Navigate to the recipe, for example, by double-clicking on the Recipe field.
    5. Maintain the recipe and the material list (bill of material) within the recipe as usual.
    6. Save the recipe and, therefore, also the bill of material. (Return to the production version transaction. )
    7. Save the production version.
    -> Change
    1. Assign a change number which is valid for the recipe and the bill of material entered or to be entered to the existing production version.
    2. Navigate to the recipe and further processing as described under -> Create.
After the release of the change request, all three objects production version, recipe and bill of material are approved providing a change rule which prescribes an approval procedure was defined in the recipe header.
You need a suitable change request for defining the change rule. Providing you use the integrated maintenance via the production version as recommended, proceed as described above and assign the suitable change request to the production version.
If you want to ensure furthermore that no recipes are created without change request, use a profile set correspondingly in Customizing for the creation of recipes.
Hope clear to you. For details refer the Note  154360 - Maintain prod.vrsns+recpes i.env.requirng an apprvl

  • Relationship between operations in Master recipe

    Hi,
we have to maintain relationships between Operations in % (when 30% or operation is done u2013 the second can start).

  • Problem: Scheduling Process Orders.

    Hi,
I have a problem in PPPI with scheduling in Master recipe and with the process order in CM25. Can you help me?
    In Master Recipe:
I create a capacity category 0025 to display for a resource the setup formula and Processing formula in the Scheduling Tab (as the capacity category 0001 - I also tried to let the capacity category 0001 be used in application C - Master recipe and didn´t work).
In OP40, I created and assigned in applications to C Recipes
Afterwards, I ordered the views in OP13.
When im creating a resource, i prove the formula and i have no problem. But when I assigned it to the recipe and the recipe to the production version to make a process order, neither the master recipe or process order schedules the order.
When I create a resource with a capacity category 0008 (standard) the scheduling works just fine in the process order.
    Scheduling in CM25:
Also when Im trying to schedule the order in CM25, I see two lines of the same order (i guess are the 2 phases 0010 and 0020), is there anyway to just see the second to avoid misunderstanding?
    Thanks in advance!
    AM

    Dear,
For FIFO you can use the Characteristic  LOBM_LFDAT for FIFO if is LOBM_VFDAT then in plant storage data 1 view maintain the SELD then assign these Characteristic to class in CL02 then assign this calss to material master.
Then craete sort rule in CU70 withCharacteristic  LOBM_LFDAT or LOBM_VFDAT
then assign it to serch strategy in MBC1 or COB1 with selction criatoria.
In OPL8 assign this serch procedure.
Then create the order and check the result.

  • Differrence Between Process Order & Production Order

What is differrence between Process Order & Production order apart from that process order is used in process industry & other one in discrete mfg ??

    Hi
there isn't really any difference. The main difference is in master data: Routing vs. Recipe.
as you have mentioned, prodn. orders are used for discrete, repetitive & virtual mfg scenarios whereas process orders are used for process industries (chemicals, pharmaceuticals etc.,) where the prodn. is non-stop.
You can use production order or process order for the same scenario even when you are in a process industry. It is your decision to use either one, but you have to know that process order is more appropriate when you have more machine integrations and interfaces. Process order, as well, requires more master data than production order since you are clubbing both BOM & Routing in the master recipe.
also Process Order can handle batch management and joint production scenario in a better way in comparison to the production order. Also in process order you can maintain the inprocess instructions and special control paramters for production via the process instruction key and control recipe which is not there in a prodcution order.
    hope it helps
    regards

  • Master recipes operations not getting transfered in SNP PDS to APO from R3

    Hello APO Gurus,
I am trying to transfer SNP PDS for master receipes from R3 to APO.
    Issue description::
The operation is not getting transfered correctly , some system default operation "010 generated Operation (from Planned Delive)" is getting generated in APO, also activity and resource capacity is not getting transfered. This situation exist for one plant 1000, for other plant 1100 the SNP PDS created correctly.
    i have following points:
    1. Is there some customizing setting missing on R3 or APO side  for plant 1000 tbefore SNP PDS transfer
    2. What need to be checked on master recipes data in R3,
i have checked on below points
    1. FG Materials and all the Component Material to be in APO in a Active Integration Model.
    2. BOM & Routing and Production Version setup correctly.
    3. The Routing Operations have to Relevant to 'SCHEDULING'.
    4. Try deleting the existing Integration model for materials & re-create new IM & activate.
Please help me to send SNP PDS correctly to APO to take heuristic run.

    Hi,
It is good that you have given your already checked points.
Please check the following things also and try to retransfer the PDS.
    1. Check your resource in ECC, whether you have maintained the Process formula.
    2. Check you have maintained some values in Master Recipe for processing time
    3. Check whether the resource has been transferred for your plant 1000 to APO and an active IM exists.
    4. Also check the type of the resource transferred to APO. It should be a single-mixed/ multi-mixed or bucket resource.
Hope this will help you to solve the issue.

    Manimaran M.

  • Component materials incorrectly assigned to superior operation in process order

One of my manufacturing facilities is having a problem with components not printing on process order output.
In all cases, the master recipes themselves look fine when reviewed in C203.  The components are properly allocated to phases (not superior operations).  But when the process orders are generated, certain components are being assigned in the process orders themselves to the first superior operation, instead of to the phase that is indicated in the master recipe.  Here is an example.
Here is the master recipe operation information as seen in C203:
And here is the material assignment list as seen in C203.  Note that component material MM6030 is assigned to Phase 0035:
But when the process order is created, that same component material MM6030 is now assigned to superior operation 0001:
Here is some additional information that I was able to eke out of the folks at the manufacturing facility:
The operations in the master recipe did NOT originally contain operation 0001.  It was added to the recipe in C202 after the recipe was initially saved.
Component Material MM6030 was not originally part of the BOM.  It was added via C202 after the recipe was initially saved.  A different material was originally in its place, and was assigned to a different phase.  After the MM6030 was added to the BOM, the assignment field was blank, and the user assigned it to phase 0035.
Has anyone ever encountered a similar issue?  If so, how was it resolved?

    Hi ,
Possibility  , in C202 , user may have changes the BOM first and re-assign the phase  but in process order level Read PP master did not call
Another possibility manually change the process order component and assign this in Phase in COR2 .Please check  whether it has been added manually in order level .

  • Process Order status CRCR needs to  re read master data

    All,
I have an issue with re-reading the master data in process order.
I have an order which was  released and control recipe was also released since we use pi sheet to record shop floor data.
After releasing the control recipe user  made changes into bom and he wanted to re-read master data , on the master data tab re-read master data button is not activated not  if i go menu path from the header process order-> functions-> re-read master data is active.
Neither i am allowed to set the deletion flag for the order, i am getting error message process order status CRCR does not alow to set the delection flag.
Any solution to this issue is appriciated
Either i should be able to re-read the master data or set the deletion flag...

In your case Control Recipe is already created, so you need to send a process message to set the status of the control recipe to finished. "CRFI". Follow the steps below,
Transaction CO57, to trigger manually a process message with message Category PI_CRST for the process order and Control reciepe combination.
Then use Transaction CO54 to send the Message to the process order.
You can complete the PI Sheet by clicking the "complete" button in the PI Sheet also.
Now try to re read master data

  • Phase/operation  in process order 1000028 does not exist (please check entr

    Dear All
Kindly help me out in the following scenario
I am entering confirmation through COR6N, after selecting process order no. system is giving this error when i click on actual data. However there is only one phase and one operation in master recipe. Furthermore earlier I ran MRP, generated capacity requirements, converted planned order into process order, dispatched process order via CM22-leveling and now i am trying to enter phase confirmation.
    waiting for your response..
    Regards
    Navaid

    Hi,
Please check your operation/phase control key in your recipe (C202), may be it will be PI07 (no confirmation).
If yes, you can enter the phase number manually in COR6N
    Thanks,
    JK
