Deleting Organiztational unit,Position & Job in prdn server

Dear Friends
After client copy ,things in Organizational Management transferred from Development to Prdn (OSC)
In prdn server all the created posion,org unit and job are copied,when i am trying to delete
its not happeneing
Holder remains blank and it not allowing me to delete
i tried in PPOME screen also
Pls guide me on this

Hi Partha,
Did you try RHRHDL00 program?
In the worst scenario, you can use SE16N with the option &SAP_EDIT for tables HRP1000/1001.
System copy creates a mass in terms of organizational objects, I have recently experienced the same.

Naming convention of Org Units, Position

What is the naming convention used for Org Units, Positions, Jobs and other OM objects. Pls send document if any of you have.

Namming conventions are made based on the company strategry. That means it varies from one organisation to another. I can find one convention which is availabe in net.

How does workflow retrieve users under position/job when sending email

Dear All:
This question is after my thread before: 'How does workflow retrieve users under an org. unit when sending email", my further question would be how to get users under a position/job.
I find the evaluation path 'WF_ORGUS' that is delivered by SAP, and I am wondering whether it will cover all my cases: to retrieve users under an org. type including org. unit, position and job.

Hello,
Okay, I misunderstood. You don't get to specify the evaluation path - if you fill in a Position then SAP fetches the users in that position. It works, so I haven't thought about it any further. Any reason you want to know exactly how it is done?

Lion: Printer: Job pending on server

I purchased a 12-core Mac Pro back in December, and much to my dismay, it came pre-loaded with Lion. The Lion ate my Xerox printer, and I'm not in the mood (or cash-flow) to buy a new printer.
I cannot get a job to print. The printer is seen and found by the Mac, but every job goes to "Job pending on server." and just sits there. Xerox is not going to update a driver, and Lion didn't come with one that works. I've tried the Generic, Automatic, and naturally, the driver for my printer, a 6200N. I installed Gutenprint 5.2.8-1, a beta driver, but it doesn't work either.
Is there a way to go into the old driver and add/delete/modify/fix it with something "new" from the Lion OS? I'm certainly no programmer, but these drivers aren't that large of a file, can they be that complex that they can't be modified?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't thank you enough Alberto! You might notice that I wrote this on the 30th of April, and Apple did the update on the 26th... I'd spent the morning of the 26th trying everything I could to create a fix to no avail. But today I downloaded the new driver from Apple (Software Update said I was up to date, however, so nothing happened there). I also used IP as the setup in Add Printer, instead of Default. Then, I typed in the address of the printer, and everything was golden! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I don't have to buy another printer now.
By the way, Xerox' customer support simply told me that the driver would not be updated and I should just buy a new printer. I told them that with customer "support" like that, they could stuff it...

hi all,
i want to create BDC recording for position,job,role . what is the transaction for creating postion,job, role?/??
and i have to check wheather for one job , role is there or not? if not i have to create that role.. similiarly i have to check for position that there is corresponding job is there or not.. if not i have to create the job???
how would i do that??

Hi Sachin,
1) Creating BDC is an ABAP-ers job and being functional its not ur responsibility. If u really want to do that then u can do it through T.Code - SHDB.
While creating BDC for Position u have to go through T.Cdoe - SHDB and in that give PP01 in the TRANSACTION CODE feild. Then go on for recording. After that ask the help of an ABAP-er.
2) To Check if a POSITION or a JOB is there, then Go to T.Code - PP01, under Obj Abbr. feild put S for POSITION and C for JOB and press enter after entering the POSITION and JOB id. U'll get the result. OK
3) To check for ROLE, u have go to T.Code - PFCG and there check for the particular ROLE u r looking for. Here in this T.Code u can actually create, change and delete the ROLES.OK

I have this request.
BODS 3.1 : How to trigger an email alert for the jobs on BODS server ?
We have jobs scheduled on BODS running smoothly and absolutely fine.
But to check, i am logging into the admin console and check for the jobs status.
I would like to have an email to be received from BODS after each job is finished.
It could succuessful. Or it could fail.
Whatsoever, i wish to receive an email alert as soon as a job is finished.
Can anyone advise me as to whether this could be made possible.
And if yes, how this could be done.

In BOE CMC / for webi / schedule / we find an option to send email for a job success or a job failure.
Is there any option similar to that in BODS ?
Also would like to know :
how to use the smtp_to or mail_to functions ?
how to set up the smtp server for this ?

Hi.
Since am new to this BODS. I need some help.
I already have many jobs which are running absolutely fine.
And when a job runs, and finishes, am able to see the trace saying
e.g. :
Job_abc is completed successfully.
We got the smtp service activated for our test server.
and we hae a group email id.
I have put the details of the smtp server / ip address / and said apply restarted.
The i created a simple test script as below :
print (' Before email ' );
smtp_to('abc@company_name.com', 'Job ' || job_name() ||' on ' || host_name() || ' has FAILED',
' the job has failed', 0, 0);
print('After Email ');
It does send a email to as per smtp_to whatever email is specified.
But how to differentiate between a job success
And a job which has failed.
I wish to have a mail which says on the subject :
'Job ' || job_name() ||' on ' || host_name() || ' has completed successfully'
==> IF it is a success
OR
'Job ' || job_name() ||' on ' || host_name() || ' has failed'
==> if it has failed
How to make the system identify, whether
to send a success message or a error message whatever

Insert your backup disc (or plug your external hd), then open Mail.
In the File menu, click *Import Mailboxes* and follow the steps for a *Mail for Mac OS X* transfer.
Navigate to your CD/DVD's or external HD's backup and hit "OK".
This should create a new "Imported" folder in Mail with all your old messages in it, that you can then rearrange as you wish, creating new mailboxes etc.

Currently there is no option to delete print jobs from the "View Job History" section of ePrintCenter.

I have Zombie message in Message box
But when I run job "Monitor BizTalk Server" no error reported.
My understanding this should be reported as error in second step. Same has been in details in URL

Well....here's the deal. It seems the group knowledge on the Monitor BizTalk Job is pretty limited. Here's a better blog with some more information:

I don't think a Zombie would immediatly qualify for any of those cases because for some period of time, it still belongs to a service instance, just one that can no longer Consume it. Eventually it may qualify for condition 4 once the Completed Orchestration
is purged.
Disclaimer: This is educated speculation. If anyone has done any testing around this, I and others would appriciate some guidence.

I posted on other forum, but I did not find resposnes there, so I am posting it here.
We are using Oracle 11g (11.2.0.1.0) on (Platform : solaris[tm] oe (64-bit)), Sql Developer 3.0.04
1) We are loading table using PL/SQL.
2) This data will be consumed by Mainframe DB2 process (Read our table, format and calculate measures).
3) Return the result as another Oracle table (Push) with derived data from DB2.
There is a IBM JCL that read our table and return an Oracle table with calculated data.
Is it doable?
How do we invoke the IBM JCL from our Oracle 11g server upon loading the table (Step 1)?
Are there any metalink notes to address this situation?
Are there any alternate approach?

Hi,
Since your talking about interfacing between Oracle and DB2 where 3 sequential steps are to be taken, I would recommend to use a UNIX shell script to kick off the seperate steps.
I have no experience whatsoever with DB2, so I can't tell you if you would be able to start a JCL ( DB2 Job ?? ) from within the oracle database.
Otherwise you would need a kind of polling mechanism where the DB2 database checks for a certain value (table value) existence in order to start its work

HR Data Synchronization (Org Unit, Position and Employee) to SRM

Hi All Expert,
Currently, I had replicate the HR data (Org Unit, Position and Employee) to SRM thru transaction PFAL.
Each time there is a new position or new employee, I have to run PFAL and run manually by include the new position number or new employee into the program to replicate to SRM.
Does SAP have any specifiy program or step which I have follow to allow such automation? Is there any variant that I could set?
How to trigger the new Org units which are created in HR to replicate to SRM without any manual input into selection field of Object ID during running the PFAL?
We are trying to achieve automation of synchronization between changes/new creation in HR to replicate to SRM.
