Deleting PDF pages

How do you delete pages from a pdf document?

However, to comment on the poster above, if I right click a page and select 'move to trash' preview still deletes the entire pdf, which I think is madness.
Doesn't work like that for me, sorry, but if it does for you, I agree it isn't a good thing. Thanks for the followup and good luck going forward.

  • Preview app issue with deleting PDF pages

    Greetings-
I'm hoping that someone else has encountered or can replicate this issue. If I have a PDF file open in preview and I select multiple pages to delete (using command-click) and the pages are not all sequential it seems like the incorrect pages get deleted. When I undo this deletion the pages are not properly restored. Deleting single pages or multiple sequential pages works just fine.
So, let's say I have a 10 page PDF file and I want to delete pages 2, 3, and 8. I cmd-Click on each of 2, 3, and 8 and then cmd-Delete (or delete via the Edit menu). The pages are not properly deleted.
    Can anyone else replicate this?
    Cheers,
    -J.

Open the document, CMD+P, and select appropriate paper size (probably A4) or scale to fit paper option.

You may also be able to do it with CreatePDF, but I'm not sure.

    Hi kevin,
Please let me know if this happens in all pdfs you open or any specific one.
Also, let me know your OS version.

  • In Adobe ExportPDF, can you take an existing PDF and delete existing pages?  For example, I have a 5-page report and need to delete pages 2-4.  Is this possible?  Thanks!

    Hi,
You can do this with Adobe Acrobat.
If you are using Export PDF it is a long procedure.
You need to convert your PDF in word or powerpoint.
Then you can edit the document & again can create PDF.

  • Auto delete duplicate pages in a merged pdf?

    Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to automatically have Adobe Professional search a pdf and delete/remove all of the duplicate pages?  I have merged a bunch of separate pdf files where some of the files have duplicate pages...thus instead of searching the entire pdf for the duplicate pages manually (+500 pages), I was hoping Adobe Professional could do this somehow automatically.
    Thanks,

Attached a VBS example how to get the text of a PDF page.
So you can loop trough the pages and delete if text1 = text2
The documentation you will find in the Acrobat SDK.
    Section: IAC (InterApplication Comm..).
If you need examples for single commands search in Google for that.
The search function here is not very good.

  • Preview : Quick Key to Delete a Pdf page

Anyone else notice the quick key for deleting a page out of a muli-page pdf does not work? Maybe I am not doing right, someone let me know how they make out.

The only logical reason it's not working (if it's only me) is I have a Microsoft Keyboard Pref in my system preferences. I had no choice in the install when I needed to install the Microsoft Mouse in my system preference. I don't think I need it but I don't want to trash it until someone else can confirm they can indeed a page using the command key sequence. Then I'll have to figure out how to uninstall. I guess grab the original installer form the Microsoft site and hope it has an uninstall feature..and then just for the keyboard and the mouse.

  • Can't delete a page - Error - "Incorrect structure in pdf"

I am unable to delete a page in my pdf (form). I get an error that says - "Incorrect structure in pdf found"....that's it. Can anyone give any insight into this and how I can fix it? I have to delete this page.
    Thanks a lot.

I too can't Extract due to- "Incorrect structure in pdf"
Why can't Adobe figure this out then add a button or run command to fix this. I have a 53 page file with fields (and quite a number of fields). I cannot find where the problem is. All of these posts and message never get answered in a straight forward manner. I shouldn't have to go through countless of web pages of possible solutions to include Adobe's forum...... STILL NO ANSWER.
I had to go to an older saved file and redo all the changes. C'mon, if the program tells me that there is an "Incorrect Structure" it should be able to tell me where!!!
I am, as are countless of others, waiting on the solution!
CS 5 will be my last upgrade if Adobe is unresponsive to it's faithful users!

  • Acrobat Help | Rotating, moving, deleting, and renumbering PDF pages

This question was posted in response to the following article: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/manipulating-deleting-renumbering-pdf-pages.html

Acrobat does not go through images to evaluate the content. You are making a judgement call when you do it. With your file I was able to use the crop tool for 2-5. P. 6 showed up offset and had to be changed. P. 1 was centered and different from the rest. I would use the odd and even features and then simply go back through and look for the pages that need to be touched up. That should do the trick. Supposedly Reduce File size will make the crop complete, but I have never found that to work well - it may be worth a shot. Another option is to print to a new PDF to delete the cropping.
