Deleting photo albums in the photo folder

Hi, in my photos folder on the phone, I have a photo album which I want to delete.But I can't seem to find an option to delete it.Any help please.

You have to delete it on the computer (or just move it from the folder you designated to sync pics from), then sync the iPhone.

Deleting Photos from an iPhoto Library
1 - from an Event or the Photos mode: select the photo(s) and use the Delete key to move the photos to the trash bin. Then empty the iPhoto Trash bin as follows:
2 - from an album, smart album, book, slideshow, card, etc.: select the photo(s) and use the key combination of Command+Option+Delete to move the photos to the trash bin. Then empty the trash bin as above.
NOTE: deleting a photo from an album, slideshow, book, etc., with only the Delete key only deletes that photo from that item. Deleting a photo from an Event deletes ALL occurences of that photo in the library.

Removing Photo Album, or the photos therein

Hello,
I've synced some photos using iTunes from a folder, it worked OK until I noticed that portrait/paysage was not handled correctly, but this is another issue.
So on the Mac I moved the photos to subfolders, and re-synced. Of course I expected the photos from the main "Photo album" to be removed on the iPhone.
Instead, the new iPhone albums contained the subfolder photos all right, but the main Photo Album still contains the photos that were moved and aren't there anymore in the main folder. Follow me?
Now I can't find a way to remove them on the iPhone. What can I do?
(Besides selling all this Apple gear and going back to Microsoft, I mean.)

Camera Roll = Pics taken with camera.
Photo Library = ALL PHOTOS SYNCED TO PHONE
Any other one listed under Photo Library are your each Sub Folder to create "libraries" for each sub folder.
But the main point is that the Photo Library is a combination of all your sub folders. The images are not stored twice, it is just like a Master View.

New iPod 5 gen and apps won't work, and when I take photos in the camera roll they show up when I click the preview in the left bottom corner but not in the photo album in the photos app, frozen a lot and resets it self a lot when it's frozen! Please help

My brand new iPod touch 5th gen (silver) i use it a lot and I take really great care if it but just today it's been acting really slow, freezing up all the time, it won't let me open up apps, the notification bar (dragged down) all gone (no markets/weather/noticfications) and never says anything, and the camera. Camera is really bugging me, when you go in the app "camera" I tooka photo, and I went to the left bottom corner and clicked that preview, it shows all the photos there, but it won't let you edit them, share or delete them. But when you go into the photos app, and go to camera roll they aren't there at all.
When I try to open apps, they freeze and then I try to move/delete them and then it freezes, and stops everything. Shuts down, and restarts and like nothing's happened.
Please, this is my first iPod and I really care about this so so much. Please somebody help me with something!!!! Please!!!!

If you have emmptied the iPhoto trash then you're going to need a file recovery application like File Salvage

Were these photo albums synced onto the iPad through iTunes? If so, the only way to remove them is to do another sync (from the same computer) without the ones you want gone.

With iOS 5+ you should get an Edit button at the top of the Albums screen in the Photos app which lets you create new albums, and you can then copy your photos into those new albums - the photos are only copied or pointed to by those new albums, so if you delete the original photo on your iPad then it is also deleted from all albums that you've copied it into.

You can import a folder of photos to the Photos.app by dragging the folder onto the Photos icon in the Dock. That will open an Import panel, and you can select to import all photos from the folder. But the folder name will be lost.
The photos will appear in the "Last Import" album. Select them all in the Last Import and create a new album with the folder name (fFile > New Album).

Best to keep the terms clear.
You export photos from iPhoto.
You move the iPhoto Library to an external disk.
They're are quite different processes. Exporting means at the end you have a file outside iPhoto. Moving means the files are still inside iPhoto.
So if you say:

That reads like I''ve selected all the photos in iPhoto and am exporting them to a folder on this external drive, and at the end I'll have a folder full of photos outside iPhoto. Is that what you mean?
Is it best to have a 'master' I photo library on an external drive for all the thousands of pics Im never really going to look at often - and a smaller one kept on the HD for day to day usage ...
Best? Hard to know. It might make sense on a portable. But if you're on an iMac why do you need a smaller one on the internal? Why not just have the whole library on the external? There is no performace hit.

Sounds like you are a Windows user or if you are a Mac user, you are manually managing photo storage on your computer without using a photo management application like iPhoto.
Create a parent folder which will contain the separate albums or folders of photos only that you want transferred to your iPad. Select the parent folder under the Photos tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes.
To remove an entire album or folder of photos from your iPad, move the album or folder of photos out of the parent folder on your computer's hard drive followed by a sync. To remove an individual photo from your iPad without removing the entire album or folder of photos, move the photo from the album or folder of photos on your computer followed by a sync. To add another album or folder of photos to your iPad, place the album or folder of photos in the parent folder followed by a sync.

I have no clue that you mean by it only shows photos from the camera icon. It has to show the photos in the camera roll of the photos app since those are the only photos that you can import via the USB cable.
There are other ways of transferring photos to a computer, but they involve using third party apps. There are WiFi transfer apps that will do this. DropBox will also let you upload photos to a public folder and then download them to a computer.
