Deleting photos from photo stream and windows xp
I have two problems
1. How to delete pictures from photo stream ? Do we have an option of stopping some photos from going to photostream ?
2. While I cloud works good between my iPad and iPhone, nothing happens on my windows xp ? Why is it so and is there any solution for this ?

Why has the problem with emailing a photo from PSE 10 and Windows 7 never been resolved?
I used to use Outlook Express. Now Windows 7 doesn't support it. I've read through hours of forums in the past. I changed my default email client to Windows Live Mail on a tip. In the PSE10 Organizer, I go [edit; preferences;sharing; and choose Windows Live Mail as my email client]. Try to email a photo, and I get a "Could not open Outlook Express..." error. I do the same and choose Adobe Email Service and I get a "Sender Verification" window telling me that Adobe has sent an email to me and to use the code found in that email to continue. There's no email. I click on "Resend Email". Still no email. I'm stuck.
Adobe support chat was no help. They ended up sending me a link to a year old forum where other participants ended with the same frustration. They say they no longer support PSE 10. Good job Adobe. You waited it out. -
Deleting pictures from camera roll and photo stream but not from other folders
Hey everyone,
I am new to I phone and using iPhone 5 with iOS 7.1.2.
I like to keep my photo folder organised and sorted. For example I created different folders on my iPhone for wallpapers, my personal pics and work pics.
Now after adding all these pics to their respective folders i deleted them from Camera roll and my photo stream ( thinking that they would still be in their folders) and now I am screwed, because everything is deleted .
Thankfully, I have the backup, but please can anyone help me to understand the difference between camera roll and my photo stream and how could i keep all my pics in different folders and just not in camera roll or my photo stream.The way I do that is to organize them on my computer. I periodically import all of the Camera Roll to the computer. That is a good thing to do to insure you have a copy in case of loss of the phone or other problem, even if you backup the phone. Import can be done by methods described in iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
Once they are on the computer I organize them in iPhoto on my Mac. If you have a Windows computer you can organize them in folders. Once they are on the computer I delete them all from the Camera Roll on the phone to make it easier next time -- i.e., the Camera Roll always only contains the photos that I haven't yet organized.
I only want some of the pictures that I am keeping to be sent back to the phone, so in Windows I made a second copy of those (in iPhoto on a Mac I use Albums instead). I had a main folder (e.g. "Photos for iPhone") and subfolders (only 1 level below the main folder) with various topics. Then use iTunes to sync the photos back to the phone (selecting the main folder). iTunes: Syncing photos
The end result is that they are organized in Albums on the phone, are not in the Camera Roll, and I have a copy of them on my computer. -
Photos from my iphone and ipad are going into my photo stream on the devices but aren't going into the folder on my windows PC. They used to but they suddenly stopped. Has anyone else had this same problem?. I have checked all settings and they appear OK

Is there a way to delete the photos in Photo Stream on my mackbook pro notebook?
My phone became corrupted today and, after continuing to have problems with 2 new phones, the apple specialists determined that the only possible explanation was the presence of a corrupted photo or video in photo stream; and that the only way to use my phone without it shutting down was to deactivate the photo stream on it. It worked, but I would like to be able to have the option of using photostream again. The apple folks suggested that I delete all photos from photo stream on my computer; and then, when it is "empty", reactivate it on my phone? Hello,
I had a one on one with my apple rep yesterday. They backed up my camera roll from my iphone as well as my ipad on my computer as I was not able to backup to icloud due to lack of space.
They advised me to delete photos from my photo stream on my iphone and ipad and then do a back up.
I deleted the photos from photo stream on my iphone and ipad.
I was able to backup my iphone but NOT my ipad as it is saying that there is not enough room on icloud to do this back up.

80% percent of photos we take are bad photos, we delete them later when reviewing them. Now the photos are in both camerroll and photostrean. When we delete them from the camera roll they do not get deleted from photo stream, when I delete them from photo stream they do not get deleted from camera roll.
I want to keep good photos only in both photo stream and camera roll. How do I do it? Delete them twice?? What a waste of time.
When a photo is deleted from camera roll it should ask whether we want to delete it from photo stream too. Otherwise photo stream is useless.I remove bad photos from camera roll but they all stay in the photo stream ...Hi JM,
Even 20 days later, the answer is the same.....you have to delete photos from them individually - they are kept in separate places, so you have to delete them from both if you don't want them. However, photostream will, eventually, "delete" the bad photos, since it only keeps up to 1000, and then starts overlaying the oldest ones....

To transfer your photos:
Transfer and erase the Camera Roll:
Connect the iPad to your computer and launch Image Capture, iPhoto, or Aperture.
Select your iPad in the Devices list and click "Import all".
When the import finishes, you can erase the contents of the Camera Roll, if you want. That would be the quickest way, but deleting it on the iPad in the Photos.app would be safer, but more work.
Delete photos and video clips you synced to your computer using iTunes: Connect your device to your computer and, in iTunes, deselect the photos and video clips you want to remove from your device. Click Apply, and click Sync.

Yes, you have to connect the iPod to that computer and go to the Photos pane for the iPod in iTunes and uncheck sync photos and the click on synce/apply. In the future do not check sync photos.

- Settings>iCloud and sign out and sign in with hers

I'm working hard a mastering the details of icloud and iPhoto. I would like to have a well designed sets of pictures to carry around on the iPad, but after months it seems I'm still surprised when I open my photo app. Pictures I don't care about are there; pictures I tried to have available to show are missing. Well, I'm slowly working through it. This is not my main question today but a referral to a good info source(s) would appreciated.
So why does it happen that when I copy pictures from Photo Stream to an existing album, then go and delete them from photo stream, they pictures are deleted from the album where I thought they would be safe?
Thank you!Pictures on Photo Stream remain there for only 30 days by design. So if you setup PS on your Mac and add photos to it they will display on the iPad. However, to remain on the iPad you will have to move them to the Camera Roll (I only have an iPhone and that's what it's called on it) in order to keep them permanently. This screenshot shows the save options on the iPhone when photos in the Photo Stream are seledted. Notice the option in the lower right hand corner:

Or, you can put the photos in an album in iPhoto and connect the iPad to your Mac. Open iTunes and go to the iPad's Pictures section. There you can select the album in iPhoto and sync those photos to the iPad where they will be in the Camera Roll section.l -

With iCloud Photo Library (Beta) enabled the full sized photos will be stored in iCloud, and on your iPhone you will have smaller sized photos, so you can browse and share them. This save space on your device, and you can access your photos also from the the iCloud web page. https://www.icloud.com/
But be aware, that turning on iCloud Photo Library Beta will essentially stop all easy ways to upload photos from a Mac to your iPhone. iTunes Photo sync will no longer work, and you will not be able to stream photos from a Mac to your iPhone with "My Photo Stream". Only "My Photo Stream" from the iPhone to a Mac or other devices will still work.
