found it. you go to settings in each device and shut off photostream and it ask if you want to delete. then turn back on
and then ??
After turning on again it will again show ALL pictures..  That is stupid. The only solution is to have it disabled if you not like that .

  • How to delete picture in your iPhone that don't have a delete option

Finally I figure it out; 1st synchronize all my pictures from my Iphone with IPhoto so will not lose any, I can delete unwanted picture manually later after I am done. 2nd, I created an empty folder in my computer then synchronize my Iphone pictures with that empty folder and since it did not find any it deleted all picture on my Iphone.
Now that I have a back up in my Iphoto I can put back only the pictures I want in my I phone.
Probably there is a more conventional way but this one worked for me.

    Hey there LocknLoad,
It sounds like you are seeing additional music listed in your app that were not synced from the computer and you do not want to see them. From what you describe it seems like Show all Music is enabled in settings:
iCloud and iTunes Match - iPhone
View only music that’s downloaded. Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store. Under Show All, turn off Music.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the best,
    Sterling

How do you delete pictures on your iphone that were downloaded from your computer or memory card?

There is NO other way to get photos off your phone, that were synced to your phone, other than through the iTunes sync process. Just make sure there are no checks, in any boxes, for any photos, that you do not want on your phone.

  • If I delete a picture from my iphone will it be deleted from my mac or pc

Hi, I have an iphone, and a mac, I also have icloud, I need to know if I delete a picture from my iphone, will it be deleted from my mac or pc, thanks.

If you delete a photo from Photo Stream on your iPhone, they will be removed from the "Photo Stream" folder on your PC.
You should copy/move them to a different folder on your computer, before deleting them from your iPhone.

There is a slight chance that those images may be cached in icloud backup, if they were in camera roll or library OP would not be here would he, T.

If you delete icloud off of your iphone, will the ipad that shares the same account lose all imessages, photos, etc?

    No.
Just delete the iCloud entry --  do not do the deletion from the content-bearing apps (Photos, Messages, etc.).
Delete from Settings > iCloud only.

  • HT201077 when you delete a photo from your iphone does it delete it from icloud back up also

When you delete a photo from your iphone does it delete it from the icloud backup?

No, however your next backup will not contain the photo as it is no longer on your phone (and iCloud only saves approx. 3 older backups so the one containing the photo will eventually no longer be available).  Also, a word of caution...it seems like many users end up losing some or all of their photos when restoring to their iCloud backup.  To be safe, don't rely on the backup but instead import your photos (and videos) to your computer, as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

Replying to my own post - heh. I downloaded iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) which allowed me access to the files on the phone and there was the phantom movie in the DCIM folder. Deleted it, and all is well - although I still have 0.65gb of Other in iTunes.....

  • Is there a way to delete pictures from your iphone 4s through itunes instead of deleting them individually on the phone?

I am trying to delete pictures from my iPhone 4s without having to select them individually on my phone.  Is there a way to do it through iTunes?
    Thank you.

Where are the photos on your phone? Are they in the camera roll? in folders on your phone? in photostream?

  • How do i delete multiple pictures stored in iphone without having to delete one picture at a time?

Also, how do i sort the pictures stored in my iphone to categories e.g. food, friends, events or even sort by dates?

You should be importing pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly as you would from any digital camera. You can delete them all from iphone when you import them.
Once on your computer, you can sort them however you like, and sync whatever you like to your iphone.
Pics synced to iphone from your computer, are deleted the same way you got the there, the sync process.

  • Photostream pictures shown on iphone..cannot find them anywhere else

    Ok,
    this is ridiculous!
Photostream is shown in the photos app
    camera roll shows 327 pictures
    photostream shows 1000 pictures.
How do I get them onto my MAC???????????????????????????????????????????????
    Tried Itunes
    Tried Icloud
    Tried share_pod
    Help please

OK, so if the User signed on on your Mac is using the same AppleID that your iPhone is using, and the iCloud account signed on to your Mac is the same iCloud account signed on to your iPhone, then a couple of things:
    - You should see a section in the sidebar in iPhoto on your Mac called Web, and just beneath that label, you should see an album called PhotoStream
    - Also, (and thanks to your question, I just discovered this - so thanks! ),  all photos in your PhotoStream should also show in the album called Photos in your Library section, right under Events.
If you are not seeing these, then something is not in sync between your iPhone and your Mac.....
Let me know what you see.
    Cheers,
    GB

  • Is there a way to delete multiple photos from your iPhone?

I'm trying to free up some space on my iPhone by deleting photos. It is taking me forever though because I have to select them one by one to delete them and then do the same thing to permanently delete them. Is there a quicker solution?

    Greetings Emmzy088,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you would like a faster way to delete photos on your iPhone other than selecting each one. One possibility that you may not have considered is importing your Photos to your computer and choosing to delete the items after import. Please reference the attached article for more information.
iTunes: Syncing photos - Apple Support
To delete Camera Roll photos and videos from your device
There are two methods to delete items from the Camera Roll:
Import the Camera Roll to your computer and choose to delete items after import.
Delete photos and videos from your device manually:
Open the Photos application and open the Camera Roll.
    Tap the Action button.
Tap each photo to select it.
Tap the Delete button.Note: For photos and videos you want to save, import them to your computer before deleting them from the Camera Roll.
    Cheers,
    Joe
