Deleting POs

Hi
We are on SRM Server 5.0. When we delete all the items from a PO(which has not been confirmed or invoiced) we loose the Shopping cart number in the 'Follow-on-documents' tab in the 'Process PO' transaction.
Has anybody else come across this issue?
Regards
Nishad.

Hi Ramki,
We also have a customer on EBP 4.0. And when the PO items are deleted the follow on documents tab still shows the shopping cart that created the PO. However for the customer on EBP 5.0 the link seems to disappear. I was therefore thinking there may be an issue with EBP 5.0 because EBP 4.0 maintains the link to the SC even though all the PO items are deleted.

  • Procedure to deleting POS, Planning areas and related infrastructure in DP

    Hi ALL,

    Hai Gurus,
I am extracting data from R/3 to BW 3.5 for PU area.
While extracting data for 2LIS_02_ITM, for eg. if a PO is created for 3 Items say Item A, Item B, Item C and Item A & Item B are marked as deleted. My problem here is the Item A which is deleted is coming into BW where as Item B is not.
Can anyone tell me how exactly the extractor 2LIS_02_ITM works and why some items are missing?
And also please let me know the right procedure to follow.
Points will be given. Thanks in advance.

  • POS DM transaction change ,overwrite , delete

I'm looking for solution in ABAP or customizing:
    0. Is it possible to overwrite the  transaction in POSDM?
    1. How to change POS transaction in POSDM  if we uploade the same transaction with changes?
    2. How to delete POS transaction in POS DM by ttransaction ID?
    3. Hoe to delete all POS transactions with given WORKSTATIONID?
    Appreciate any help

Have you tried using the transaction /POSDW/DELE? It allows you to delete transactions for a given store/date but not individual transactions. I have not come across any functionality to delete an individual transaction.

  • Mass deletion of POs

    Hi,
I want to delete POs for particular materials at item level in mass.
Means suppose in one PO we have 4 materials at item level as 10,20,30,40.
And I want to delete PO items for 10 and 30 for one PO and for another 20 and 40.
Then how to do this in MEMASSPO transaction as there I have not found any combination of POs with item levels.
We will have to enter POs and item levels separately which will may pick materials that I donu2019t want to delete in the particular PO.
Please assist me how to tackle this issue.

    Hi:
You can do the mass deletion in MEMASSPO traxn code however in your case you wanted to delete some of the items in the PO and which will different in different PO's i.e. item 10 and 20 in PO no X and item 40 and 60 in Y PO. So you have two options:
    1.MEMASSPO: Mass deletion
Here you select the "Purchase Order item" in tables tab, then you would enter the PO document numbers, system will lists all items in the PO however here you have to manually remove the all other line items which you  don't wanted to delete, this is lot of manual work too.
    2.WRITE "BDC":
You can have a BDC which would select the PO range as well as the PO line item numbers form the XLS file.
I would suggest you to go with BDC for this mass deletion.
    Hope it would help you.
    Cheers

  • How to track the blocked POs in 2LIS_02_SCL extractor

    Hi Gurus,
We have field ROCANCEL in 2LIS_02_SCL extractor which sets to X and R for cancelled and deleted records. On ECC side we either delete the PO (at Item level) or block the PO.
For deleted POs the ROCANCEL flag is setting to R and we are OK with this but how can we track the blocked orders?
The business requirement is to report on blocked orders too.
    Thanks,
    Anil

    Hi,
In Bw thre is always confusion about following Dates.
    Posting Date (0PSTNG_DATE)
    Schedule Line Delivery Date (0SCL_DELDAT)
    Statistics Date (0STAT_DATE)
So ask Functional Consultants and Business USers and Identify the corretc Date in ECC and then Change the Mapping In UPdate Rules in BW. i.e. What date USer is wanting and accordingly we nee dtgo change the mapping in UPdate Rules in Time Char Tab in UpdateRules.

  • Want to understand committment mechanism in PR/PO when deleting PO items.

Is there any documentation or help you can offer me to understand the commitment mechanism in PR (Purchase requistion) and PO (Purchase order)? We are working on SAP 4.6C and modules FI-FM and MM are implemented and working.
Specifically I want to explain a case that urges me to understand and solve.
An user wanted to delete a PO item which was derived from a corresponding item of a PR, but the system generated an error message indicating exceeded budget, it feels not logic because if I eliminate an item the corresponding budget amount should be available, not exceeded. However, I have been reading some SAP notes (955107, 1307755, 153021) indicating that in the availability calculus, the PR committment is considered and not the PO committment as expected by me.
In the SAP notes I couldn't find the reason of this behavior.
Is there anyone who experimented this kind of situation that can help me, please. If you need some clarifications or something else, please let me know.
    Thank you very much.

    Hi,
please distinguish between POs/PRs with deletion indicator set and
deleted POs/PRs which do not exist on the data base (any more).
The ones with deletion indicator can be corrected by the report RKANBU01, please see the note 534993.
For none existing POs/PRs please use the report ZKAOIDE0 from note 100409. For PR's you have to run CJEN afterwards.
Please read also the notes 334851, 152571, 863652 and
    204376, 459509.

  • PO Deletion indicator cannot be unset

    Hi,
We want to change a material based Unit of measure from PC to EA, but the material has an open PO.
    1. We delete the PO item first with tcode ME22N then change the Material master (tcode MM02), change the based uom from PC to EA. done.
    2. Then go back to UNDELETE the PO item (ME22N), the following error message is displayed "Deletion indicator cannot be unset".
How to resolve this error, we need to undelete the PO item after the material's has been changed.?? Urgent.

    Hi Eric,
    Sorry...mmr means material master record...
    1. Reset the BUoM from the new one to the old one
    1a) undelete the POs
1b) use the mmr with original BUoM (that was reset in 1a) )
or (reset the BUoM and undelete the POs and) create a new material master with desired BUoM and use this (instead of the original material master with new BUoM if the deleted POs are not OK for you).
    2. Keep the mmr with new BUoM with the delted PO items. As I know you can delete a PO item if GR/IR balance is OK for it so I think it shouldn't be problem.
2a) If you want to get rid of partially delivered PO items >
2a1) reste the BUoM from new one to the original
2a2) undelete the partially delivered POs
2a3) reduce the qty of these PO items to achieve that the should completely delivered and after that delete them
2a4) set the new BUoM for your mmr
2a5) create new PO items instead of the before reduced PO items with proper qty (with the mmr that has the new BUoM).

  • Problem while deleting a PO

    Hi friends,
Im facing a problem, release strategy is defined for all POs in my company. Now after deleting POs by setting deletion indicator
for all line item in a PO(mark for deletion), those POs still appear in the release due list.
Is there a way to avoid those POs to appear in ME28.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Ritesh

    Hi,
Unless and untill you archive the deleted POs from the system still you will get the all POs.There is no standard functionality for this.
With the help of ABAPer you can develop the report for the same.

  • Deleted PO's not returned in PO search

    Hello All,
I dont see deleted PO's when I search for PO's in process purchase orders transaction with blank value in status ( which means 'ALL' statuses). Where as if I search for PO's with status 'DELETED', I am able to see all the deleted PO's. Any Idea?
    SRM 5.0 version...
    Thanks,
    Shekar

    Hi Chandra,
there is reasoning behind not listing deleted POs to the user : Only documents that are still valid to the business, those which need have been processed to a certain degree and which shall be looked at as "further to be processed" are considered valuable to the typical user. Hence "All" actually contains "All documents deemed to be valid to be processed". This is typically addressed during user training.
Users quickly understand that All is not "virtually all" but "all those documents typically relevant to me".
Normally POs are deleted when they contain errors or when the business need expressed through them is not deemed to be valid (any more). Displaying invalid documents together with actually valid documents may rather confuse the user instead of helping him or her to get the job done.
From a usability standpoint I'd probably refrain from "improving" the selection result by custom development.
    Best regards,
    Andreas

  • MRP - VB type deletes already created purchase orders

    Dears,
Recently sth happened with MRP planning for materials with VB (reorder point) type at my client.
If stock is below reorder point MRP generates  requisition correctly. But when requisition is converted to purchase order and delivery date is changed (+ few days) a new MRP run suggests to delete such purchase order and creates new requisition with delivery day = today.
1st clue I had was to check  planning horizon period in SPRO but it's 30 days so any purchase orders within this period created with reference to MRP requisitions should be "visible" for MRP.
    Planning mode is standard (adapt).
Do you have any idea what could happen?
    Regards,
    Marcin

    Hi Amit,
I've checked this. VB type seems to be unchanged - SAP standard settings. As far as I know there are 4 factors that have influence on reorder point planning:
    1. Material mater data - MRP type and reorder point level
    2. MRP type settings - VB in this case is a SAP standard
    3. Config - planning horizon (in this case long enough to cover diffrences in delivery dates between PREQ and PO dates)
    4. Planning parameters:
    Processing key          NETCH
    Create purchase req.    1
    Delivery schedules      3
    Create MRP list         1
Planning mode           1    (adopt - normal mode)
    Scheduling              1
Parameters seems to be correct but system still recreates PREQs and wants to delete POs...This is very odd behaviur. I'll try to find sth in OSS.
    Hope You'll have any idea.
    Thanks,
    Marcin

  • PO line item deleted by user

    Hi
Can we find out the PO line items which have been deleted by user ? We can find out the deleted POs by using EKPO-LOEKZ, but how to track which user have been deleted.
    Thanks in Advance
    MBKM

you can get this data from tables of CDHDR and CDPOS.
Now get your PO number and input the value of po in OBJECT VALUE field and Change DOC OBJECT is EINKBELEG in CDHDR
Grab the change numbers which is in the field DOCUMENT NUMBER
and input these values in CDPOS.
You will get all the changes for a PO along with the user name who changed it.
User name who changed will be in CDHDR and details of deletion will be in CDPOS in EKPO-LOEKZ = L.
Hope this helps and reward if useful

  • How to delete  Open Production Orders

    Hi,
I would like to Delete Open Production Orders.plz tell me How to delete  Open Production Orders

    Hi
for deleting POs you have to delete the line items. First select the line items and then choose the icon 'delete' in the item overview screen of PO.
For open PO s also you have to do the same Or else change the PO quantity to the desired qty for what GRN has been made.

  • StringBuffer delete (int start, int end) is too slow - HELP!!

I've traced a performance problem to one line of code: a StringBuffer "delete (int start, int end)" call.
My StringBuffer contains a lot of data, maybe 500,000 characters. My code loops, searching for a particular character (the search is fast, btw). When that particular character is found, I want to delete that character plus the characters following it. My code looks something like:
    int pos;
    while ((pos = myStringBuffer.toString().indexOf('~')) != -1)
myStringBuffer.delete(pos, pos + 3);I'm 100% sure the bottleneck is the delete call. If I change the code to the following, where I've commented out the delete, it loops the same number of times and runs lightning-fast:
    int pos = 0;
    while ((pos = myStringBuffer.toString().indexOf('~', pos)) != -1)
pos++;The loop, and therefore the delete method, will be executed thousands of times. To give you some idea of the poor performance I'm seeing, the first code (with the delete) takes more than 10 minutes to run, while the second code (without the delete) takes less than one-tenth of one second.
    Any suggestions? Thank you.

Thanks for all the help! da.futt's solution works perfectly: 65,000 times through the loop in about one-tenth of one second. Problem solved.
We're still on Java 1.3.1 (large company = slow to upgrade), so I can't even remove toString(). I wonder how many "small" performance problems we have (and are unaware of) that could be addressed by upgrading?
My first posting here and a positive result. I'm not a Java expert, but neither am I a rookie. I'll be back to try and help others as I've been helped here.
    Thanks again.
