Deleting Purchased App data

I dowloaded tinder 4.3 but when I launched the app, it showed me the old version. I tried uninstalling and installing it again but it did not work. I'm guessing this is because my old app data is saved in the Purchased history. Is there any way to delete the app from the Purchased history?

If you are using iCloud with Pages... Settings>Pages>Use iCloud>On. And Settings>iCloud>Documents and data>On>Pages>On. You should be able to safely delete the app and all of your documents will still be in iCloud.
I have deleted Pages a few times for troubleshooting purposes and I have never lost any documents. When I reinstalled the app, all of my files downloaded again from iCloud.

All iTunes and App store purchases are permanently tie to your Apple Id. You cannot delete them. You can hide them, but only from iTunes on a computer

How do I permanently delete purchased apps from itunes on my iphone?

I have spent a good part of my evening trying to figure this out then finally found this page which confirms what I was thinking... It doesn't appear possible! ARHHHH!!! There are loads of posts saying how you can do this, when what they appear to be describing is how to remove the apps from their iphone/ipad and not actually from the list of every app you have ever installed which appears when you go into the "Apps Store" > Updates > Not on this iPhone.
It would be really nice to be able to remove programs from this list as I am sure I am not the only person who over the years have installed some apps which where not very good and I don't want to be reminded of them or to ever see them again quite frankly.
I can do this very easily from my Android phone in Google Play which is Google's version of the App Store.
I think things like this remind me why I prefer the ease of use of my Android phone... Ho hum! Maybe one day some geeks at Apple will realise that this would actually be a really useful thing to be able to do and enable it.

Really? I right click and I get a menu of four items, one of those being "Delete". Which just happens to delete the APP from iTunes.

  • Delete purchased apps (Not hide)

Is it possible to delete purchased apps from my Apple-ID account, i know they can be hidden, but i´m looking for a way to delete them so they are disassociated from my Apple account?
At least for the free apps there should be that option.
    Is this possible?

Okay, so lets try this question then... Is it possible to delete an Apple account, not just disassociate my devices? I guess thats not possible either, just as so many other things when it comes to Apple?

  • How do I delete my app data?!?!

With some apps you can simply go to to the settings and there will be some way of deleting your data and starting from level 1, But from what I've seen there's no way to do that with this app. If it helps the app is called Fast and furious 6 the game or something. I want to start from the beginning. I've tried even reinstalling the app, but it apparently SAVES all the data (even though it clearly says that by uninstalling an app it will delete the data.) And I just want to flipping' reset it. That's all. It's there any way of deleting the saved data of just ONE app?

You should be able to delete the application data of a specific application from Setting>General>Usage.  Some application will allow you to swipe the Documents & Data and select Delete. If this does not allow you to do so attempt deleting the application from here and re-downloading it. Also if you do not see the application immediately from Usage it may take a moment to load depending on how much content you have stored and may even require you to select Show all Apps at the bottom of the list. Hope this helps.

  • How do I sync my iPad with a new iTunes library without erasing all the previously purchased apps & data on my iPad?

I'm sure this is a common issue, and I've google-searched for solutions but I cannot find a straight forward answer anywhere. I really hope an expert here can help me out.
I purchased an iPad last year and synced it with my iTunes library on my old PC laptop. Well, my PC laptop harddrive crashed last week and I cannot access anything on my laptop anymore. I did not make a back-up for my PC harddrive either. I know, next time I should make a back-up and I will. But that's irrelevant. The PC is gone now.
I replaced my PC this week with a brand new Mac Book Pro. Excited about my new purchase, I quickly hooked up my iPad with the hopes of easily transferring and accessing my iPages, iNumbers, and other productivity iPad apps seamlessly to my new beautiful Mac Book Pro. But now I've run into the nightmarish dilemma of not being able to sync my beloved Ipad with my new MAC without getting the warning that basically says "your iPad is already synced with another iTunes Library. You may only sync to one iTunes Library at a time. You will lose all your data if you sync to this new computer."
Can someone give me a straightfoward answer as to how I can sync my iPad with my new iTunes Library on my new Mac Book Pro without losing any of the apps that I previously purchased? I want to be able to access the apps I downloaded on my iPad on my Mac Book Pro.
    Thanks so much!!!!!!

While it isn't as easy to just use a Mac iDevice as media storage as Android and Windows, you can add documents and such like Word, PDF and others manually in iTunes to have them sync as well.

  • IPhone backup deleted purchased apps

ok, new laptop. realized my apps weren't being backed up. Checked off that tab in Sync section.
iTunes asked, transfer from iPhone to computer? Yes.
Then iTunes deleted half the apps from my iPhone, saying they weren't authorized, and backed up not a single one.
My .me account shows purchases for every single one of the apps.

But will you not be charged again? I downloaded RDM+ ($15.00) to give me remote access to my desktop and it worked fine for a month. I then downloaded the Premos game calling app for fun and now it's not working as well. (.99)
Why is Apple making it so hard to maintain these apps? The RDM+ is very important that I be able to use.

  • Deleted purchased app can't install now

I had purchase Growl and deleted it by mistake. Now my version is behind. I have tried to install it again by clicking the Install button but nothing happens at all when I do that. Any other suggestion as to how I might Growl updated.

    Allan...
Try deleting the files in bold print...
    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
~/Library/Cookies/com.apple.appstore.plist (If you see one that says:  com.apple.appstore.plist (corrupt) move that to the Trash as well)
    /LIbrary/Preferences/System Configuration/Network.interfaces.plist
Now restart your Mac, launch the App Store.

  • How to delete purchased app from itunes

I have deleted apps on my iPhone - how can I remove them from my iTunes purchases

If you go into your account through iTunes on your computer, you can hide them.

  • Firefox won't open, error msg = can't find profile; deleted all app.data to rid new Win 7 Total Security virus - tried both v 4.0 & v 3.6 (now no error msg either). Can't open profile manager, can't open safe mode. pls help

My mother's computer was infected with the new "Win 7 Total Security" virus (apparently a fake antivirus program) - corrupted real av. To remove, we followed online advice to delete everything in AppData, for all programs, plus some other stuff. We moved it all to a flashdrive for safety, but after successfully removing virus, likewise cleaned & reformatted flashdrive. This apparently deleted Firefox profile(s), and after uninstalling & reinstalling, Firefox still won't open - I can't create a new profile. With v 4.0, I get an error message about not being able to find the profile. Found advice on how to open profile manager, but it won't open. Found reference to version 4 dispensing with profile manager, so tried installing version 3.6 again; still won't open, still can't open profile manager, but now no error message at all.

THANX for the reply cor-el. I've never had a problem using just "firefox -p", but i did use the full path like you advised after i read the profile manager article here before i posted my question. Unfortunately it didn't work. I've backed up all 3 profiles from the "%appdata% profile" file, and also from my remaining main profile that i'm on right now. I decided i'm going to uninstall ff3.6.28 & upgrade to "firefox 11" this weekend and hopefully create the other 2 profiles along with my main one. I do like in the newer versions of FF the tabs on top like googles chrome because it gives you more room on the page. I also like some other features too, but the main reason i kept my old version both times is because the newer versions didn't seem to load pages any faster than version 3.6.28. I'm not going to worry about some themes/personas not being compatible with ff11. I'll find some new ones. I think when i tried "ff9" awhile back along with my current version, i just deleted the shortcut that the article said to create on the desktop and still had all 3 profiles & no problems like i have now. In case your curious, the article on how to create more than one version of firefox at the same time was on the site "Dottech.org>[How To] Tip: Install multiple versions of Firefox to test before upgrading to latest release". It works but i obviously did something different this time that caused this problem. THANX again for your time/help, i do appreciate it.
