Deleting row of zero in one dim array
In my application, I am using the first column of the table as a selection from the combo box. The table is converted to one dimension array of 200 rows and 1 column, Some of the rows have zero value which is visible in the combo box selection , I need to remove the rows containig zero before linking to combo pbox can it be possible

Please find attached the VI doing what tst has explained
The For-loop indexes each element from the Input Array, Insert the element into the new array if it is a non-zero.
If it is a zero, simply shift the array without any insertion.

BPM Object Presentation - array items - (add / delete rows dynamically)
Hi,
We have a BPM Object presentation which uses a 'group' inner object to display ROWS of data. The presentation has an 'array0' created by default to handle the 'group' of rows. It also has the '+' and '-' buttons by default.
There is a field at the upper level which shows the 'sum' of values in individual rows. It needs to 'REFRESH' when an add (+) or deletetion (-) or rows happen.
But we see that all the controls (text boxes etc which are wired to the 'inner' bpm object of the group and the +/- buttons are one unit 'array0'. And the only method if at all, is an 'Event Listner' which is not showing any methods related to BPM Object.
Can anyone help us with a clue as to how to handle the '+' and '-' events or wire the 'array/group' events to code - any clue with 'events'?
This is a little urgent as it is an issue and we need to fix the same. Appreciate any quick responses/clues.

-user8702013.The SUM field needs refresh() method to be called to reflect the new value whenever we are adding/deleting rows.
To call this method for to show the reflection we have to declare a method on BPM object level which receives a argument of type ‘Fuego.Util.GroupEvent’, then in this method you can have your logic(here refresh() method is required to show new value on deletion/addition, hence this method is being called). This method can then be wired (it shows up) to the 'Event Listener' of the group/array.
The newly created method will be called whenever a new row is added/deleted (Event will be fired hence method call). -
Delete rows from array within limits

I am attempting to delete the rows that are a multiples of the fundamental entry. However, the multiples of the fundamental are not always an exact multiple, they can differ by up to 3M. So, from the origial array,:
130.4M -65.386
149.4M 9.6346
172.2M -64.981
301.4M -17.273
426.8M -68.169
449.6M -820.72m
472.4M -66.132...
with the multiples of 149.4M deleted, the output array should be:
130.4M -65.386
172.2M-64.981
426.8M -98.169

I am attempting to delete the rows that contain a multiple of the x-data from the original array and have the output array show the original array minus the delete harmonics array.
Original array:

delete rows that contain multiples of 300. Output array will be

Create a 2-dim array dynamically

I have had this problem here before but try one moore time :-)
This is the thing: We have a text-file from which we read. This textfile can be different from time to time. From this textfile we can catch numbers of columns and numbers of rows that a 2-dim array should have. The problem is how one can create this 2-dim array dynamically? We have a while-loop that the program runs inside already. Must one use the while-loop to solve this problem? Or can one solve this with only a for-loop? Hope you understand how I mean :-) Best regardsOK, I thought you want to read an array of the same size as the actual data in the file. You cannot read a 4x10 array if the file only contains data for a 3x5 array .
Is the array size determined by the data in the file or by some other calculation?
I would still read the entire file, then you can cut out a 2D subset using "array subset". This should not be a problem unless you have millions of array elements.

Now we have this problem: We start with a for-loop that runs as many times as there are numbers of signals. Then we want to create a 2-dim array. We know the numbers of columns but not number of rows... so the numbers of coumns can not be created dynamically like the number of rows. We thought of somethning with the "initialize array" but then one need to know both the numbers of rows and columns... any idea? Thank you and best regards.Typically it ie easiest to use a shift register and build the array by adding new rows. (see attached, LV 7.0).
If you had something different in mind, please explain.
(If you expect the arrays to become very large, building arrays this way may cause slowdowns due to memory allocations.)

Hello!
Now we have the following problem: We need to sort a 2-dim array depending on the values in the first column. Then we need the corresponding row to move to the right place too... we send a VI so you can see an example of how it might look like. So we need (in this case) the first column to sort so we get 1,2 and 3 and so on, so the last row should be 3,4, 392 and 2047.
We think this might be easy to solve but we need some tip :-) Thank you and best regards.

sortarray.vi 17 KBI wrote my own 2D string array sort routine. It has come in handy many times. You can enter the column number that you want to sort on, and the entire rows are rearranged in the order of the column sort. If your array is numeric, you can easily change the vi to use numerics instead. One day I hope to make it polymorphic. Here it is:

Let's forget about generics. Say you want to supply a Comparator. The compare method should decide the order between elements when passed two element objects. In a two-dimensional array the elements will be one-dimentional arrays and you use the first element in those arrays, like

To add blank lines to table control we do not need to change any of the fields of the structure CXTAB_CONTROL simply adding blank lines to the internal table will do.

Deletion of selected rows is simple. To delete selected rows first we will determine the rows which have been selected through selection column .
FOR SINGLE ROW SELECTION

FOR MULTIPLE ROW SELECTION
*To deetermine the rows selected we will use the selection column field to loop

Cannot DELETE rows from LOV on running...is it a bug ??
One of the features I appreciated in the new version of JHeadstart is that we can now insert, modify and delete rows on LOV (even in the database).
We have just to check on Lookup properties :
Multi-row insert allowed
Multi-row update allowed
Multi-row delete allowed
I cheked all of them and on runnig I could insert and update records in LOV.
When I tried to delete records from LOV the system display information message "nothing to save" and in fact no records were deleted.
Normally since I checked the delete property it should be possible to delete rows from LOV

Unable to delete rows from Target.
Hello everyone,
I am unable to delete rows from target data store. Here is what I have done.
Source Oracle 10g - staging 11g - Target Oracle 11g
I have implemented consistent set CDC on data model in staging and added 2 tables to CDC and turned on the journals . Both tables A and B are joined together via Column E (primary key of table A). Table A is the master table(has foreign key). Table B is child table. Target column consists of all the columns of both table A and B.
Following is what I am able to do and not to do
ABLE TO DO. If data is inserted into both or any of journalized tables I can successfully load the same in target by performing following steps. 1. Extend the consistency window at model level. Lock subscriber. Run the interface with any source table marked as Journalized data only. Unlock subscriber and purge journal.
ABLE TO DO. If data is updated in any of the journalized table, along with the steps mentioned above I can execute two interfaces. In one Interface table A marked as journalized data only Joined with table B and in second interface table B marked as Journalized data only joined to table a.
NOT ABLE TO DO If data is deleted from one or both tables it shows up as journalized data in JV$D<tablename> marked as D with date and subscriber name but when i run the interface by extending the window , locking subscriber executing both interfaces, unlock subscriber purge journals. no change takes place is Target. After unlocking subscriber step, journalized data gets removed from JV$D view. Please let me know what I am doing wrong here. How can rows delted from source can also be deleted from TARGET?
NOTE : In the flow table SYNC_JRNL_DELETES is YES
In moel under jounalized table tab Table have following order Table A folloed by Table B

* even if you need information from several databases (for example ACCESS + SQL Server), in most cases, it is much better to connect directly and get each information to the app. Then in your app you can combine the information and analyse it

Problem with creating and deleting row in table

I'm using JDev11.1.1.2.0. I have a table "A" with primary key X -> CHAR(1). I have created Entity and ViewObject (with the primary key X).
I created an editable Table with CreateInsert and Delete actions.
When I click Insert, a new record is added and I enter some data. Then I move selection to some other row, and return back to the new row. When I press Delete, It does not delete the new row, but the previous one selected.
In the console, when I navigate back two the new added record: <FacesCtrlHierBinding$FacesModel><makeCurrent> ADFv: No row found for rowKey: [oracle.jbo.Key[null ]].
I tried the same scenario with a different table, that has RowID as a primary key and it works correctly.
Any Idea why this is happening ? I suppose it's connected somehow with the primary key.

What's wrong with my CHAR(1) as a primary key ?
I also tried to add a Refresh button:
<af:commandButton text="Refresh" id="cb3"/>and in the table add a partialTarget to the button. Now when I add new row and press the Refresh button - then it works.
So it seems that the problem is when I add new row and enter data, the table is not refreshed and the row is missing it's primary key.
Any solutions?

I am new to Visual Basic programing and i am trying to understand the relationships between Datasets, database, table Adaptors. I have to following code that is is giving me the following error" Unable to load, Update requires a valid DeleteCommand
when passed DataRow collection with deleted rows".
I can track the error and its located in "OffsetTableTableAdapter.Update(MaterionOffsetDataSet.OffsetTable)" code. What am i missing?
It seems that i can delete the data on the DataGridView Table and it only displays the correct data. but my database is not updating, even though the data grid displays differently.I can determine this because, when i save the offset database, i have all
the previous uploads and all the rows that i wanted to delete are still there.
My final goal is to be able to import offset data from a CSV file, save this data on the pc, send a copy of this data to a NuermicUpDown so the customer can modify certain numbers. From here they download all the date to a controller. IF the customer
needs to modify the imported data, they can go to a tab with a data grid view and modify the table. They will also have to option to save the modified data into a csv file.
Im not sure if i am making this overcomplicated or if there is a easier way to program this.

This error usually shows that you do not initialize the
DeleteCommand object, you could check this
article to see if you get a workaround.

If you are working CSV file, you could use OleDB to read it which would treat the CSV file as a Table:

Table compare deleting rows which does not exist in target table
Hi Gurus,
I am struggling with an issue in Data Services.
I have a job which uses Table Compare, then History Preserving and then a Key Generation transforms.
There is every possibility that data would get deleted from the source table.
Now, I want to delete them from the target table also.
I tried Detect deleted rows but it is not working.
Could some one please help me on this issue.

Raviteja.Doesn't history preserving really only operate on "Update" rows. Wouldn't it only process the deletes if you turned the "Preserve Delete row(s) as update row(s)" on?
I would think if you turned on Detect Delete rows in the Table compare and did not turn this on in the history preserving it would retain those rows as delete rows and effectively remove them from the target.
Preserve delete row(s) as update row(s)
Converts DELETE rows to UPDATE rows in the target warehouse and, if you previously set effective date values (Valid from and Valid to), sets the Valid To value to the execution date. Use this option to maintain slowly changing dimensions by feeding a complete data set first through the Table Comparison transform with its Detect deleted row(s) from comparison table
option selected.
