Deleting Secure Zones with Import

I have a client who gets their monthly membership updates from their National Organization. They get a list each month of adds / drops and changes to email addresses, etc. I need to figure out how to remove the drops list from their secure zone access.
I tried to import the Secure Zone Expiry in the format dd-mmm-yyyy but it didn't over write the field.
Suggestions? Thanks!

Hi,
If you are still having this problem, try format mm-dd-yyyy

  • Bulk delete Secure Zones subscribers

Hi, does anyone know if there's a way to bulk delete Secure Zone subscribers rather than clicking "delete" for each in the list?
My client needs to delete all and import a new set of Secure Zone subscribers each year. We don't necessarily want to remove them as customers in the CRM, just remove their access to the Secure Zone in bulk.
    Thanks
    Rob

    Hello,
That is possible. On the literature page, go to Actions > Make Media Download Secure, and assign all the Secure Zones targeted.
Regarding the payment option, the monthly payment is setup on the membership cost amount field, when setting up the secure zone, but when the first invoice is generated,  you can access it in the admin interface and modify its value.
Also, you can consider using products instead of literature items, making them downloadable and assigning 2 prices, standard and wholesaler. At that point you just make sure that subscribers of the 2nd secure zone are made wholesalers so that they access the smaller price.

  • Is there a way to log in to a Secure Zone with an email address intead of username?

    Hi,
I want users to have the ability to login to a Secure Zone with which ever email address they used to sign up, not the username they created, as that is something they forget too often.  Is this possible?
    Thanks in advance!

    hey Liam
maybe you could have a secondary field to use email address instead of username and when the customer enters their email address you could use the new BC.Next features to query the CRM (module_data) to retrieve the username
    what do you think?
that would give you the option to use either?
    but ur way is simplest

  • Secure zones with multiple passwords

To many of you experts out there this may be a rather dumb question but I am just trying to get the answer verified before I go back to my client with the information. I have a client that wants to have a portion of his site set up as a secure zone "for members only". He wants each member to use their email as their ID but be able to set their own unique password rather than everyone sharing a single password. Can this be done in BC? If so, how?
These members will not be administators of any kind, just customers with access to this secure area. (It might be a blog or news section of some kind, they have not been very clear about that as yet. I just need to know so I don't want to over-promise anything with BC.
Thanks in advance for your help
    Kevin

    Hi,
There will be one set of password to gain access to secure zones for each contact.  Based on their zone access the login will allow them to access.  So to answer your question it's yes contacts can sign up to a secure zone through a web form or your site admin can grant access for them.

  • Multiple Secure Zones with a Single Login Form

Hello, I've created a login form and 20 different secure zones. I am needing to redirect users to their own personal secure zone automatically once they login (without the need for them to choose the secure zone) Can you please let me know how this can be done? Thank you much

    Hi
    The main difference is :
Using generic secure zone login option : When customer logs in , he stays on the same page. I mean , Generic secure zone in BC doesn't support redirect to other pages . However, he will have access to all the pages that were in other secure zones to which he actually subscribed to.
Using Specific secure zone login form, you have option to redirect the user to specific landing page and user will have access to data that is placed in this specific secure zone.
You may locate the Generic secure zone login form in toolbox > site modules > secure zones > sign in form >  as shown in below screenshot :

  • Reply to Open Case inside Secure Zone via Form Instead of Email?

I also asked this on the LinkedIn group - any help appreciated!
I was wondering if anyone has done this? I heard on chat it cannot be done, but I was wondering if anyone has a workaround.
I have set up a CST system behind a secure zone for a client. They are using it for private communication, not support, so I am looking for a way to allow registered users to view their cases created via the CST in the secure zone (got that all set), but then be able to respond to an open case via a form inside the secure zone and have it append to the existing case, instead of via email.
I asked if the Case # could be appended to a URL to pre-fill a form field (mimic the format of the CST email), but I was told no go.
Any ideas? Alternative approaches? The goal is to allow people to correspond solely inside the secure zone if they want for privacy.
    Thanks,
    Kristen

    Hi Liam,
Thanks! Yes - I have that all working inside the admin. What I was trying to do was have website visitors have the ability to reply inside the secure zone after logging in (not the CSR) so that they do not have to use email if they don't want to.
Here was an idea I had, not sure if it would work:
Here is the case list in the secure zone with a "reply" hyperlink: http://www.screencast.com/t/fZjzVLIt
Here is the reply form, with some fields already preloaded through secure zone modules. Would it be possible to build a string using tags for the subject line that would mimic the case subject line in the email so that the form submit would append to the existing case?
    Here is the form: http://www.screencast.com/t/sFPObjAiYVJ
Here is the case in the system: http://www.screencast.com/t/KdhjlKuEjh
I don't know if this is specifically possible (can tags render like that?), or if you have any other ideas.
    Thanks!

  • Mobile - Secure zone login issues

    Hi All,
I'm able to log in to BC sites with secure zones using a samsung galaxy s1 and iphone pretty consistently however when using a samsung galaxy s2
I can't login - tested over 3 sites so I know it's not the code on the page interfering with login.
Anyone else have issues logging in to secure zones with mobiles?
    Thanks,
    Nathan

    Sure,
    Using the Default browser on
    Samsung Galaxy s2
    firmware version : PDA:LP8 / PHONE:LPS / CSC:LP4 (XSA)
firmware version : PDA:LPW / PHONE:LQ6 / CSC:LP6 (XSA) upgraded to see if it would help but no luck
    1. Click the link to login (either on login form or just clicking on a link to a page within the zone I'm trying to log in to).
    2. Enter correct username and password (multiple testings and changes of password have been tested)
    3. In either case, URL will change to /Default.aspx?PageID=######
    Sometimes it will show /Default.aspx?PageID=######&Error=Thank+you+for+logging+in.
On some of the websites I've tried - Creating a new customer on the samsung galaxy s2 will register the new user for the zone - but the form will not allow the user to be logged directly in on submission - error page " We're not able to log you in "  appears however the user is created, assigned to zone and can be used fine on a desktop.
Content that should be accessible once logged in - isn't (example. Login changes to logout, customer name "Hi Firstname lastname" won't display etc. because it's just not logging in.)
Zone subscription is checked, works on Samsung Galaxy s1 as it should.

  • Secure Zone Setup without Customer Registration

How do I setup a secure zone that I control the Username and Passwords?  I do not want the client to register because I want to set up and control all access.

Okay - I've got the client to finally sort paypal pro... but still having issues.
Goal - Paid access to a web app submission form, so the visitor can add an advert to the site
The process as I see it:
1/ Register paypal and pro account - add details to payment gateway settings (done)
2/ Setup web app & setup web app submission form (done - tested fine when no payment requried)
3/ Setup secure zone with paid access requirement - landing page is the web app form (done)
4/ Setup web form to process the payment and give access to the secure zone....
Right... this is where the confusion starts... With Paypal Pro my thought was after they submit the web form - it would then take them to paypal and and ask them to process the payment, then return them to the correct landing page...  right?  Or does it need to ask for credit card details on the form before paypal??
    Confused...?
I wish Adobe would put up some proper videos on Adobe TV.. not just the rubbish overview videos... most of the other Adobe products have good videos.  The knowledge base is outdated with old version help... needs serious work Adobe!  BC promises a huge amount, but without proper reasources busy agencies don't have the time... means BC fails to deliver...

  • Lenovo K920 Vibe z2 pro Secure Zone

    Hi,
Does anyone knows how to disable the Secure Zone as I can't find it in the settings?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

switch to secure zone, pull down the status bar, press and hold "secure zone" icon, enter secure zone settings screen.
Press menu key, and you can see a "delete secure zone" menu.

  • Update secure zone expiry dates with an import

We are trying to update Secure Zone Expiry dates for customers via an import but the problem is when we create a report for Users and Secure Zones there is no field for 'Username' and from what I understand if we leave this blank when importing then the information will be deleted.

What a process this has been! Has anyone else found it difficult or is it just me?
Maybe there is an easier way, I'd love to know if that is the case.
If anyone is interested this was my experience in updating the Secure Zone Expiry dates for customers.
Export a report of all members (Select Users and Secure Zones) and filter by Secure Zone.
Export a report of all customers and make sure to select the field 'Username' (This is not available in the Users and Secure Zone report, how crazy is that!).
In Excel, merge the 2 reports to get usernnames for the members. Here is a good tutorial on how to do this Vlookup Excel Best - YouTube or Merge two excel files using a common column - Super User
After merging and cleaning up the data, copy to an import template and save as csv file.
Make sure that the date format in your Expiry dates are in the correct format ie 20-Feb-2020 (check in a text editor as excel can be tricky).
Import via advanced contact import and make sure to select the secure zone in checklist below or the date will not change.
    Easy isn't it, ha.
If Adobe are listening, please add the 'Username' field to the Users and Secure Zone reports, this would save a lot of work.

  • Help with secure zone/ forum registration

Im having difficulty grasping the secure zone concept and ive spent days watching videos and reading online so I hope someone can help push me forward.
I built the site with Muse, and im using dreamweaver and the BC site (older view) to help edit.  I have a creative cloud subscription.
First I want to create a registration page to collect custom information on users, for example:  The site is about traveling, so I want users to be able to select which countries they have visited, upload a photo, and control their own profile.
I want this user information to control the forums, their own blog, and their own photo galleries.
I'm not afarid of doing the work it till take to get this done but I dont understand if I need to use webforms,  or web app.  The forums module has a default registration page that is very basic, can I use that for a template and just expand it?
Also I attempted to make webforms and use them, however when I publish my site live again in muse, it seems to delete any forms I made in BC, do I need finish using muse and stay away from it now that the basics are complete?
Thanks for your help, and any leads or overall concepts that I am missing would be great!  Thanks!

You can not do that in BC exactly. It is not designed for that sort of site.
You can not use the CRM to build that sort of thing.
You will need to build a blog with webb apps and allow them to submit their own and edit their own web app items. For the forums you have a login for the forums but you can not have their own indevidual forum.
Photo gallery - not using the BC module and will again have to be a web app and limited.
To pull that into a public profile you again can not use the CRM as showing their CRM information is ONLY when THEY are logged in. You would have to replicate their data in another web app. And pulling them together will be hard unless you know ajax etc and still complicated.
You probably better off using a different platform to achieve what your after. Coming from Muse and what that outputs as well your going to have a hard time of it. You can not use Muse to publish if you want more stuff like this because it will just do an all in one publish. If you do stick with BC you have to now Ditch Muse if you watn to do any of this right and more.

  • How to delete a Security Zone?

    Hello,
I've deployed a certain PAR file with a certain Security Zone:
    <property name="SecurityZone" value="roy.test.TestApp/DefaultSecurity">
    </property>
Now I can see this security under System Config -> Permissions -> Security Zones as I should. My question is: In case I would like to delete it how do I do it?
    Roy

    Hi Roy,
It is a page that shows on one page all the portal components installed on your portal.
Access the page from the URL http://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/PortalAnywhere.Go
From this you can see all the components, each displayed with a button to run it.
As I mentioned, you do not really need this page to run the SecurityZonesChecker. You can just use the URL http://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.runtime.system.console.SecurityZonesChecker.
For the above links, make sure to put in your server name and port number.
Did you run the SecurityZonesChecker? Does it do what you need?
    Hope all this helps.

  • Personalising secure zone webpages with client names etc

I was wondering if it is possible to personalise a webpage with client first names so that when they log in, it displays their name etc. I know you can do this in the email marketing module, but I was wondering if you can do the same in a secure zone web page.

    Yes you can

Is it possible to compile under Forte with import com.ms.security.*; included in a java applet or do I need to compile from Microsoft JDK only? I would like to thank you on advanced.

Yes; just include the cab/zip file containing those classes in your project. You'll find them from somewhere in your system.
I would like to thank you on advanced. I don't give you the permission to do that. :)

  • How do I redirect a secure zone login form with javascript?

I would like to redirect what page a user goes to after filling out the secure log in form. I would change the landing page of the secure zone, but I need a log in form to go to a different page of the site. I would also create a seperate secure zone, but I have almost 3000 subscribers and it would be very time consuming to add all those users to this new zone.
I would like to redirect the user (using the form from a secure zone) to a different page other than the landing page of the log in form. How do I do this with javascript?
I saw this page: http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/598/bc_598.html#main_Logging_into_different_Secure_Zones_ according_to_ID_number but couldn't make sense of it for my current situation. (I don't need multiple zones, just the form to redirect to a different page after submission)

I've been working on the same thing and have nearly solved it with these tutorials:
    http://www.bcgurus.com/tutorials/re-directing-users-to-the-correct-secure-zone
    http://www.bcgurus.com/tutorials/building-a-better-secure-zone-login-page
The first tutorial will let a person continue on to the page he/she was attempting to access. For example, if your site offers learning lessons in a secure zone... A visitor could click on a lesson, get prompted to login and then be redirected to that particular lesson instead of the landing page for the secure zone.  The script in the tutorial also accommodates general logging in: "if the person wasn't going somewhere specific then send him/her here (landing page, user account, whatever).
Might be worth checking out the free BCGurus trial or joining for a month.
