Deleting segment rule pairings of Auto accounting in Oracle Projects.

Hi,
We are unable to delete the segment rule pairings which are assigned to a function transaction in auto accounting setup in our client instance. But the same can be deleted in Vision instance. Is there a setup to enable the delete option?

Hi Roshan,
You should remove the Rule assignment from Segment rule pairing which you want to delete from all the functions before deleting the same.

Could you please help me in understanding the situation where I must use Oracle grants Accounting rather than Oracle Project Accounting?
I mean what is the driving feature of Oracle Grants Accounting which is missing in Oracle Project Accounting.
Also if I implement Oracle Grants Accounting then is it possible for me to setup oracle project accounting ( costing / billing ) under same environment ? If Yes it is possible to implement under same Environment then is it possible to setup BOTH under same operating Unit?

To address some other points:-
1) Grants Accounting (GMS) uses many of the same database objects as Project Accounting (PA). The best way to think of it is as a "customisation" of Project Accounting; albeit one that has been created by Oracle. For example, when a new grant is created (called an Award, stored in GMS_AWARDS_ALL) a supporting record is also automatically created in PA_PROJECTS_ALL
2) Because of 1), Grants Accounting and Project Accounting cannot be implemented and used independently within the same Operating Unit; Grants is built on Projects. However, some Projects features can still be used directly, such as elements of Project Management as described by the above document
3) Grants tends to only be used within the higher education, research and public sectors. Organisations within these industries typically have complex project funding structures, and have a requirement for tight budgetary control enforced by the system. Grants provides functionality to cater for both of these requirements, better than Projects does on its own. This does of course come at a price; by implementing Grants there are some Projects features that are not available

Can somebody explain me the difference between Auto-Accounting in Oracle Projects and Auto-Accounting in Oracle Receivables?

Those are two separate accounting engines, one for Projects accounting transactions and the second for AR accounting entries. They share ONLY the term - Auto Accounting.
Projects AA has a very rich functionality and flexibility. AR AA is comparably more rigid.
The AA in Projects allow you to distribute costs, revenue and invoices. Project draft invoices are interfaced to AR with the accounting determined by Projects AA.
AA in AR generates the accounting for invoices generated in receivables, and for other entities like receipts and adjustments.

x86 plantform run arch linux system , have two network interface etn1 eth0 .eth1 connect to internet. eth0 connect to other terminals through switch. want use different iptables rules for different pppoe account .also want to know how to forbidden more than one terminals established pppoe link use same account at the same time .

first question ,yes that is exactly what i am done. second question i also have a small scripts on windows pc to solve routes traffic problem
route -p delete 0.0.0.0
route -p add 192.168.9.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.9.1
route -p add 0.0.0.0 mask 0.0.0.0 192.168.22.0
but after a while i found scripts is not necessary because windows always attempt to use PPPoE sessions as default internet connection local connection is also ok
and use -i pppX in my iptables rules dose not solve my problem , because same account start PPPoE session could be marked as ppp0 or ppp1. it is hard to identified which account start session.

I ran PRC: Generate Draft Revenue for a Single Project report, I got AutoAccounting Error under Draft Revenue Generation Exception Report
I know this is because of Accounting Rules, but i don't know which Auto-Accounting Function Rules that I have to check.

Hi,
You can verify "Revenue and Invoice Accounts" Function Name and Unbilled Receivable Account & Unearned Revenue Account based on your Revenue Generation ahead of Invoice generation or vice versa.

You can't delete an iTunes account, all you can do is remove personal info from it and stop using it - any items that you downloaded with the account will remain tied to it.

Apple mail out of office rule is sending auto replies to all emails not just newly received emails--HELP! I set up the rule according to another apple support thread and instead of only sending the reply to new mail received, it was sent to all messages I believe that were in my INBOX, thankfully I only had a few but several people that hadn't sent me emails since I set up the rule, received the OUT OF OFFICE reply. Please help. Here is the procedure I followed for the out of office rule-

You can set it easily...
To access this feature in Apple's Mail app, right click on any sub-folder (like your exchange inbox on the left) and choose "Get Account Info." A window will pop up that looks like the one below. Make sure to select your Exchange account from the Account dropdown. Then click on the Out Of Office tab. If you have ever put in an Out of Office message in the past it will be displayed here. You can adjust and set your Out of Office from Apple Mail from within this tab.

One hotmail account deletes emails from iphone and hotmail account, the other doesn't?! Any help?

I have an iphone 3g. I have two hotmail accounts on it. One deletes the emails from my hotmail account, the other I have to log in to hotmail on the computer and delete AGAIN. Anyone know why and how I can fix this?

Auto Accounting decides how your invoice accounting takes place.That is from where to pick the account segment values.
please clarify what is Balanced Entity??
Legal entity is something which you report your fiscal books.This will be setup using the organizations window.

Auto Accounting Setup

Hi,
We have a 8 Segment Chart of Account Structure. Segment No 1 to 5 and 8 are independent Segments.
Segment 6 and 7 are dependent on Segment 5.
In the Auto Accounting Setup in Receivables module, we are currently getting the Reveibles, Revenue and Freight Accounting from Sales Person Accounts.
We want to change this option and Pick all Segment Values, except Segment 7 from AR Transaction types.
Segment 7 is to be defaulted from Sales_rep Table.
Since Segment7 is dependent on Segment5, I am unable to choose, different Validation for Segment 5 and segment7.
Can I have a workaround for this?
I also heard that Oracle recommends not to customize the Auto Accounting.

1. You need to make sure you are entering the 'Project/Task/Expenditure type' information in the Expense Report Line level.
2. If you need to customize the account generator, then you need to change the process 'Default Account Generator for Web Employees' in the workflow 'PAAPWEBX' in the workflow builder.
The project account generator you are modifying is the auto accounting setup which will be used during the cost distribution process to generate an account for the 'Expense Reports' created in Projects.
If you want to customize the account generation for a project related expense report in iexpense then you need to customize the 'Project Expense Report Account Generator (PAAPWEBX)' workflow.

CSTPACHK package extension: Auto Account Generation in Average Costing

Dear All,
I would like to use the client extension, for the account generation while doing a material transaction.
The costing type of ours is Average.
Currently, when a material transaction is been made from one subinventory to another.
it is showing the source subinventory DFF account for both debit and credit lines in the Material transaction - distributions,
which ideally we need to have the source (Credit) and target (Debit) subinventories material accounts in the DFF of Subinventories
Does anyone have a working example of the CSTPACHK package extension for Auto Account Generation in Average Costing

Can you please advise the steps you did for CSTPACHK extension, we have the requirement (Average costing) where we need to get the different material account id (one segment of the GL account should be overwritten)for the Transaction based on the item for the cost manager to cost the transaction.

Can rule be derived from Subledger accounting for auto accounting??

I think you are referring to AR autoaccounting.
YOu will need AR autoaccounting setupto be done. If you do not tweak the standard SLA setups, SLA will use the same accounts as AR autoaccounting .
If you define your own SLA setups, they will override the AR autoaccounting for account derivation.

How to delete the rule in transformation

Hi all ,
I have remodeled the info-cube and added one characteristics ZRMACTTRS. This characteristics got updated in transformation rule..Now i want to delete it from transformation but i am unable to do so ..
I tried deleting the rule and message was populated "one rule is successfully deleted " but yet it is not removed from transformation structure (this rule has a key,can i remove key from rule ?).
I have tried to remove the characteristics through remodeling but delete characteristics request is not getting active...
Please help

yoiu can try by putting the rule to 'initial' (in rule details)...ignore the subsequent warning and delete the arrow with a right-click. Then activate your rule again...maybe this will work.

Delete all calendars from an iCloud account

did anyone find a way to delete all calendars from an iCloud account? It seems that iCloud wants to keep at least one calendar. We use several accounts and one is only used to look at shared calendars from other accounts. So there is no need for its own empty calendar. On iOS I just hid this calendar, but on OS X it is always visible. I unchecked it, but it would be nice if I could just delete it. If I do so on an iOS device it is gone, but reappears later. Trying to delete it on a Mac results in an error that it can’t be deleted, same goes for the web interface at icloud.com. It’s just a cosmetic issue, but I would prefer it to be gone altogether. Any ideas?
