Can any one Please tell me how to delete a service( Example : oracleoradb10g_ home3TNSlistener) in the service window.

and delete all related enties
repeat the same for
registry editor>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>ControlSet002>Services
and
registry editor>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>ControlSet003>Services
restart the m/c

Let ff auto delete file from c:windows\temp after download?

Say you download a rar file. firefox builds the file first in C:\windows\temp as it download to completion. Then FF COPIES this file to the destination folder which could be on another drive. BUT FF never deletes this temp-file in c:windows\temp after copying. And you can NOT delete this file temp-file until you close FF. Deleting browser history temp files using ctrl-shift-del does not work.
Why is this?
Say I download many rar files at once. After each file completes firefox cCOPIES them to the destintaion directory. Again they go to another drive. BUT FF never deletes the temp-files form c:\windows\temp after completion of download and copying to the destintaion folder. UNLESS you close firefox.
Meanwhile this can clog up my small SSD drive which is only 20GiB
Need workaround please?

OK you developers are such autistic a**holes. I just tried to manually delete the temp files FF makes when downloading files from c:\windows\temp. This did not free up space there's still the same amount of space left (163MB) on my SSD as before deleting the tempfiles form this dir. WTF is this?

Deleting "Places" from Finder window sidebar

Until recently, it was possible to drag an item from "Places" on the Finder window sidebar onto the desktop to delete it. That function no longer works, so how do I delete places from the sidebar?

Deleting alias from disk window

I mounted a new harddisk a couple of months ago to my G5. The system disk had two partition. My service has formatted it and they have copied my folders that was in first disk to new disk. So, when i click the disk, there are old directory alias under the disk icons. I delete them and restart my computer but old icons come back...
Does anyone have an idea?

Are you talking about clips you have placed in the Clip Pane of iMovie?
Those you can delete by clicking delete, but as they remain in the project file there is not much point.
If you are talking about the window in iDVD where you can fill the drop zones, then don"t delete them or they will not appear in the theme.
Or have I misunderstood something!

You need to boot from an OS X installer disc compatible with this model's hardware or you must connect it by Target Disk Mode - Target Disk Mode - so you can re-partition and reformat the hard drive before you can install Mountain Lion on it or any other version of OS X. Here's the process:
Drive Partition and Format
1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
If you are preparing an external or a non-startup drive, then open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.

Removing deleted projects from welcome window

Even after I delete a project in the After Effects project file the name still shows in the Welcome Window. Is there a way to keep this from happening? I'm using CS4, XP SP3.

I'm sure it's in the AE prefs somewhere, but since I never use the welcome screen, I can't tell you excactly where. You may wish to open the file and look for "MRU" (most recently used), then delete the respective entries. The file can be found in C:\Documents and Settings\Commalot\Application Data\Adobe\After Effects\9.0\After Effects CS4 Prefs.txt.

I just bought my iPod Touch and I need to know how to delete pages from the window of Safari. It show like "8" pages with a Red X at the top, but one page is Untitled and Blank, one is Football Error Form and another junk page that was created by me playing around with my new device. Hi,
As of now in Xcelsius/Dashboard Design there is no feature or functionality to insert/update/delete data from database.
Solution:
Create a Web service in let’s say C# or Java, which will perform insert/update/delete operation.
In Xcelsius add Web Service connection and user above web service.
Xcelsius Web Service connection provides option to pass input values to a Web Service (Input Pane) and get the result (Output values pane).
We can pass values to be written to the database as a input to Web Service via Web Service connection from Xcelsius and write data to the database.
Note:
Performing delete operation from Xcelsius Dashboard could be risky and may delete important data from database. I would not prefer giving delete option/functionality in Xcelsius dashboard.

Need to create a PDF Portfolio programatically using the Adobe SDK in C# from a Windows Service.

What classes/methods should I be using?
We need to create a PDF portolio from a windows service written in C#.
We need to merge several PDF documents into a single PDF portfolio from our windows service (programatically).
I have seen documentation in the Adobe help on how to do it using the Adobe UI, but we need to do this step programatically from our windows servie.

You can't access Acrobat from a service - since we won't run in Service mode...only in standard Application mode. In addition, we don't run on a server.
But if you were doing this from a standard application - then you'll want to read the JavaScript documentation in the SDK as well as the documents about the .NET/JS bridge.

Mapping the IFS from a Windows 2003 service

Hi,
We are trying to install Esker inbound faxing. The process involves their software receiving a file to a Windows server and transfering the file directily to the IFS using a service. My question is how do you get the service user mapping to be available to a service? We can't write the file so I'm assuming the IFS is not availablle to the service.

I think I am getting closer to understanding the problem but maybe not the solution.
The iSeries V5R4M5 has a domain of BRC.GBL defined locally (CFGTCP option 12) with a *DFT domain search list. The Host name search priority is *LOCAL.
Our Active Directory also has the BRC.GBL Domain definition.
But - when we interactivly map a drive from the windows server to the iSeries we need to use hostname/userid which to me indicates that we are requesting to use a local (not domain) user id. Then we log out and back in but the mapping is gone even though we have checked off reconnect.
Also for the user ID defined for the service, we cannot use hostname/userid but rather have to use the domain/userid. when I try and use hostname/userid in the service login I get an error that the user is not defined.
I'm not sure this helps, but hopefully my problem definition will be more clear.

Delete services from PO

Hi all.
I need some help deleting services from a PO. I have tried BAPI_PO_CHANGE but it specifically says that it can not be used for deleting services only creating new ones. Does anybody know another way to delete services, is there a function module another BAPI or mabye another solution?

Hi Liselotte,
You must use the customer exit 002 (actually function module EXIT_SAPL2012_002).
Inside you will find an Include (ZXMEWU09). This include you must create (if it doesn't exist already).
Now to delete any service you go to the table structure POSERVICES and set the field DELETE_IND to 'X' for each service you want to remove.
That's all.

Calling OCCI from a windows service

Hello, I am trying to call OCCI from a windows service. And as soon as I put in the createEnvironment call the service will not load. I get an Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. Anyone else seen this problem? Any ideas?

I'm using 10.2.0.1.0 downloaded a couple of weeks ago.

Nobody directed me in using OCCI in a service. I had to face the proble to let my I.R. engine write XML data into an XMLTYPE object in Oracle, I downloaded the OCCI library and samples and build some code for my test.
Everityhing seems to work properly using Clob containers, while XMLType columns can be created but I can't read the value as the result of a select.
Anyway, OCCI 10.2.0.1.0 compiled with Visual C++ 2008 (VC9) with a couple of tricks with manifest to use oraocci10.lib (built for VC8) works for me even as a service.
I have to say that this code is in a DLL that I dynamically load and use.
Does it make sense for you?

Clear search results from Content Services Windows Crawl 6.1

We have ALI Content Services Windows Files 6.1 with a crawl job on a network location. It works fine. Now we have changed the location - directory structure. The job, modified with the new location works fine, however, we still see search results from the old location also. Since those documents no longer exist, clicking on the link causes an error. How do we clear the search results?

Have you tried running Search Repair. I believe this should clear out the orphaned search records.

You can check from v$session and see if any session is using the services using SERVICE_NAME in where clause. Below is the script for 3-node rac to check the service name and the number of sessions coming in using them
