Deleting Templates from Numbers

Is it possible to edit or delete templates from My Template Chooser in Numbers?

You will navigate to a folder where your custom templates are kept, select and Delete the template.
In Finder, click on the Go menu (top line). While the Go menu items are displayed, press the Option/Alt key. This will reveal a normally hidden choice, "Library", about half way down the list. Choose this item.
A Finder window will open and you will then choose this path:
Application Support > iWork > Numbers > Templates > My Templates.
Identify your template and delete it (Move to Trash).

I need to delete a template from numbers and can't seem to find a way to do it? Anyone else have this problem?

I'll assume you're using Lion or maybe Mountain Lion. Numbers stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Numbers > Templates > My Templates. The user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your user Library will appear about halfway down the list.

How can I delete templates from MY TEMPLATES i Pages?

Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. The user's Library is hidden in Lion & Mountain Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your user Library will appear about halfway down the list. Or you can choose Go to Folder from Go menu in Finder & paste this line in the box:
    ~/Library/Application Support/iWork/Numbers/Templates/My Templates/

How can I delete Templates from the "My Templates" window in Pages?

If you want to delete user-made templates, go to ~/Library/Application Support/iWork/Pages/Templates and you'll find the individual files that you can just delete.
If you want to delete iWork's own templates, that's a bit trickier.  Right-click (or Control-Click) on the Pages application, choose Show Contents.  Drill down to Resources and Templates and there they are.  I'm not sure I'd delete anything from the application package, however, so my advice would be to copy the app and try it on that to make sure it doesn't foul anything else up.
    Good luck.

  • How can I delete templates on numbers?

First visit to Apple Support Communities - I have downloaded data from financial institution which includes the date formated, for example, Nov 6, 2012 after the spread sheet is opened with Numbers.  Using the inspector > cell > date > format "01/05/09 " , the cells in the spread sheet with the dates all become "01/05/09" . . .  and not "11/06/12".
I am concerned that I have set up a bad templete dictating this erroneous result and would like to delete the templete.  Please advise on this point.
Any other suggestions would be welcomed.

    Hi papa T,
I doubt that a 'bad template' is the cause of this strange issue.
Leaving that aside, here is the path to deleting templates that you have created and saved:
Close Numbers. Go to the Finder.
In the Finder, press the option key, go to the Go menu and choose Library.
This puts you in your user Library—note that OS X maintains several Libraries, one for itself and one for each user account on the computer.
    From your Library, open:
Application Support > iWork > Numbers > Templates > My Templates.
In My Templates, select one or more templates, then press command-delete to move the selected templates to the Trash.
Empty the Trash to permanently delete these templates (and anything else that has been moved to the Trash).

  • Delete template from server

    Hi experts,
It is a simple question... how can delete a template from server?
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,

    Hi Victor,
Deleting the templates from uperform server is not a standard functionality as the template may be involved with many documents, recordings on the server.
Otherwise, those documents will be "orphan" since they will not have associated templates.
As a work around to prevent authors from using an outdated template to create new content I would suggest, removing the template's assignment to any projects. This will allow any existing content based on the template to continue to be usable, as well as prevent authors from creating new
content using an old template. To remove a template's assignment to a project, please perform the steps below:
    1.  From the uPerform Server, click Administration on the left menu.
    2. Click Server Administration in the Administration area.
    3. Click uPerform Templates in the Server Administration area.
    4. Click on the name of the template to be removed from a project.
    5. Click Assign Template on the left menu.
    6.  De-Select the checkbox next to the desired project(s) in the Assign
[Template Name].udt window. Optionally, to assign a template to all
projects in the list, click (select or unselect all).
    7. Click Save
    Regards,
    Matthew

For some reason the Apple has hidden the Library you need to go to.
The way to the user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your users Library will appear about halfway down the list.
Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates.

  • Critical problem with deleting templates from custom MPs

    Hello,
I created several management packs with classes inherited from SR, RA, MA and with forms, did manual change (type projections, references), made bundle and imported MPs, tested it, all works good, BUT if I try to delete RA or MA from SR I see
an error, also If I try to delete entire SR template I see an error:
    Cannot locate 1|SR_Workplace|1.0.0.0|Template.2d91857973454892beb3df01a97aa68d||.
     Cannot find ManagementPackElement [Type=ManagementPackObjectTemplate, ID=Template.2d91857973454892beb3df01a97aa68d] in management pack ManagementPack:[Name=SR_Workplace, KeyToken=, Version=1.0.0.3].
So I can create templates and cannot delete it in the Templates view, how to solve it???
If I try to delete RA and MA template from SR I see 44 errors:
: Verification failed with 44 errors:
    Error 1:
    Found error in 1|SR_Workplace|1.0.0.0|Offering10efc13c0d6f45009263ecc8a0d9c1f2/GeneratedId_PresentationMappingTemplate0/GeneratedId_Sources0/GeneratedId_Source1/GeneratedId_Targets0/GeneratedId_Target1|4|RequestOffering/PresentationMappingTemplate/Sources/Source/Targets/Target

    and more with same message

You need to delete the Request Offering(s) based on this Service Request template. That is what it is complaining about.

  • Deleting Templates from My Templates

I have inadvertently saved things to my templates which I don't want and can't figure out how to eliminate them from My Templates. They include document information I want to keep out of view.

    Hi Dennis,
After much messing about (I should have looked here first!) I have deleted some pages Templates - and then found your post. I'm not sure if I should be posting here or somewhere in System, but neither Spotlight nor Google Desktop could find the template - or 'My Templates' in any iApp (though it would in the M$Word trial).
What puzzles me is that there is nothing deselected in the Spotlight Prefs that would (or even could) account for this behaviour.
    Cheers, Colin

  • How do I delete templates in Numbers?

I have several old templates saved in my numbers program and cannot figure out how to delete them. Help!

    Hi medchanic,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities. Your profile does not show your products, so I do not know if you are using Mac OSX or iDevice iOS operating systems. As this is the Numbers for OSX, I shall answer for OSX.
Numbers stores your custom templates in the My Templates folder. To find that folder, use the Go menu in Finder and hold down the option/aly key. Library will appear in the menu choices. Choose Library then navigate to:
Application Support > iWork > Numbers > Templates > My Templates
The path is shown at the bottom of my Library Folder window:
Click on an unwanted template and send it to the Trash.
I do not know why the operating system hides custom templates. After all, they are my templates!
Another way to control your custom templates is to open one in Numbers, change it, and then File > Save as Template... with the same name. That will replace the old template with the revised version.
    Regards,
    Ian.

  • How can I paste a part of a sheet from Numbers in Pages as text, without the formulas. The reason I need this (and was used to in Office) so that I have the freedom to delete something in one cell (in pages document) without causing changes.

How can I paste a part of a sheet that I copied in Numers in a pages document without the formulas, simply as text. Used this a lot in Office. When I make some changes in the pages document. f.i. deleting a cell, I don't want to change other cells. Also when I copy a part of a sheet from Numbers and one of the cells that is part of the formula is not also copied, when I paste in Pages it shows as an error.
Hope that You can me help with this.

    Leon,
There are two solutions to the first question, narrowing to one solution when you have a broken link causing an error.
    Here's the "works always" solution.
Copy (Command-C) the table or range in Numbers
Click off the table on the blank canvas of the sheet.
    Edit > Paste Values
    Command-C
    Switch to Pages
    Command-V

They will be in the MS Templates folder located in the MS Office folder in your Applications folder.
    Exposing the /Home/Library/ Folder

    B. Click on the Desktop, press the OPTION (⌥) button, select Library from the Finder's Go menu.

  • How to delete the queries and WAD templates from the SAP BI

    HI,
We had a task to delete the list of quires and WAD templates from the SAP BI landscape(development, quality and production servers)
Please suggest the process to follow for removing the quires from the SAP BI landscape.

    Hi Venkata,
I assume that the DEV-QA -PRD are in Sync with each other.
When you are deleting a query from the DEV,it should ask for a NEW transport request.IF not it means it is collected in some other request ,may be in NA or in Junk request. So see to it that it is FIRST saved in your request and then using RSZDELETE T .Code you can delete it.When you transport the request to QA or to PRD ,the query automatically gets deleted from that landscape.
Let me know if there are any issues.
