Deleting the cursed application in JDeveloper

folks
i have a heck of alot of application nodes in my Jdev10g.. guess because i really didn't get what an application was used for in jdev until now...I guess i must be a bit anal but i would really like to get rid of all but three ... have aleady rmb the node looking for a delete option and even went in and deleted the directory of a couple of them but the (?$$! tree view node will not go away. am i forever cursed by my past mistakes ??

It is impossible to remove the preinstalled apps.
Go to Settings>General>Restrictions and see if restrictions are enabled. If so you may disabled content.
Swipe from screen to screen and look for the app - you cannot delete it.

iCloud should be showing where you are seeing "Mobile Me".
What is your MacOS X version? You can see the version number from the -menu in the main menu bar: " > About this Mac".

What exactly did you do to make the iCloud panel vanish? Did you reinstall your system?

You mean take the cover off of the iPhone, to look inside? I'd recommend against it. Even with warranty expired, you might qualify for an out-of-warranty service, which for 3GS is $149.
Other than that, any repair/service options are going to cost money. You might want to see if a wireless carrier will let you get a new contract & phone.
Out of curiousity, you're just using at as, basically, an iPod Touch, if there's no cell provider? Did I understand that correctly?

Deleted the mail application

I have accidently deleted my mail application, and cleared the trash. I've tried the Software install/restore disc that came with my Mac but to no avail... any suggestions?!

If your OS detail is accurate - 10.3.9 and your Panther install discs include an earlier version, after re-installing the Mail.app using Pacifist you need to download the 10.3.9 Combo Update and re-install 10.3.9 to get the Mail.app to the current version as of 10.3.9.

Why would you now have an old version of iTunes if you installed the Mail.app only from your Panther install package using Pacifist?
Did you re-install iTunes also?

Packaging and Deploying the ADF Application From JDeveloper to weblogic

Hi,
I Have Created ADF Project in JDeveloper.
I had created the EAR file from JDeveloper (from deployment tab) to deploy my project on weblogic server (Other Than Integrated Weblogic Server).
i have already installed ApplicationDevelopment Runtime (ADR) on weblogic and also extend the domain with JRF.
but when i try to deploy it on my weblogic it gives me the following exceptions :
An error occurred during activation of changes, please see the log for details.
Failed to load webapp: 'My-ViewController-context-root'
org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.webapp.UIXComponentELTag
Can anybody help what i am missing ?

i have installed the ADF Runtime 11.1.1.5.0_disk1_1of1.
but when i try to deploy the ADF application it gives me some tags missing exception
the exception gone when i insert the following jar files :

Nokia 6021 : I deleted the clock application. How ...

Hello,
while trying to free some space by deleting applications from my Nokia 6021 I ended up deleting a clock application, which was in fact the clock shown on the main screen of my phone.
Now I don´t have a clock on my 6021 anymore (in fact, I can have it as screensaver, but I like it shown in the main screen).
How can I get that clock back? Can I dowload it from somewhere in the internet? I tried to copy the application from another 6021 which had it, but got no success.

Well, 3 options, I guess: 1st, copy it manually (as what you did) from another mobile having the same model and firmware version… 2nd option, do the factory resetting thing (it may revive your clock in many instances)… if still no luck, here’s the 3rd option: flash your present firmware and install new one… I’m sure this will get everything back to normal… (hey, be reminded of those data that you are going to lost once you do the flashing… believe me, it’s more than clock function)
…err… can you tell us how did you deleted your clock from your main menu… it’s quite interesting, huh?
…actually, just for us to avoid the same mistake…

It's possible that Skype is still running. Restart your Mac (make sure that "Reopen windows when logging back in" is unmarked in the restart window), or use Activity Monitor to quit all Skype processes

Halloween can be a scary time -- especially if you Oops your APEX application. Of course you can't travel back in time but through the miracle of flashback, you may be able to get the APEX appl. back to where it was when. I tried these approaches and was successful with them.
*** This assumes flashback is running on the APEX schema(?). Your abiliy to go back a given number of minutes (or hours?) will depend on whether the saved values still exist in the database. ***
A) If you modify a page and want to go back to what you had, say, about 30 minutes ago.
1) Under the Utilities button (on that page), select History.
2) Determine how far back in time you want to go by examining the list of editing changes displayed.
3) Do a page export of that page (also under Utilities) and fill in “As of __ minutes ago”.
4) If you don’t want to lose what you've got on the “damaged” page, copy it to another page number for now.
5) Import the exported page file.
6) Check if you got back what you wanted.
7) If not, try an earlier (or later) time and have another go at it.
B) If you deleted the wrong page in the application!
1) Assuming the last thing you did was this deletion, export the entire application filling in “As of __ minutes ago”.
2) Just to be careful, import the file to a different unused application number. Don't overwrite someone else's application.
3) Copy the deleted page from the new application back to where you need it.
4) Clean up by deleting the unneeded application.
C) If, "Doh," you deleted the wrong application!!!!
1) Are you able to retire? If no, then proceed!
2) Create a minimal application (with a single page) with the same number as the one deleted.
3) Export the application filling in “As of __ minutes ago” with an appropriate number of minutes.
4) The export file should contain the code you need to restore.
5) You can inspect it with an editor.
Look about line 25 for" Pages: <number>".
For specific pages look for "page_000nn".
5) Import the file to the same appl. number. You should get everything back!
YMMV: Your mileage may vary!

Deleting the applications using WLST

Hi Gurus,
I have been trying to delete the my application by using the command like this
delete(“TestApp”,”AppDeployments”);
But get an error every time I run this command saying
WLSTException: ‘Error occured while performing delete : Cannot delete MBean of type AppDeployment with name TestApp. You can only delete MBeans children to the current cmo. \nTo view the children types that you can delete, use listChildTypes().’
When i try to run this command as mentioned in the error
listChildTypes()
I do not see any MBeans which can help in deleting my TestApp, what am i doing wrong here? How can i delete the application?

The Indentation (The space before a statement) is very important in WLST because the control statements like if{} and Loops like for{} and while{} starts and ends based on the Indentation.
Please use the below corrected script:

Uninstalling and Deleting the application

Hi,
Can you please advice regarding difference between Uninstalling and deleting the Biztalk Application?
I refered the link http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa559800.aspx , however I am unclear about the situation regarding when to use uninstall and delete.
Do we need to use both to completely remove the application ? If so what is the recommended order.

Undeploying BizTalk Applications
"You must undeploy a BizTalk application to remove it from your BizTalk group and host computers. This section describes the following tasks involved in undeploying an application:
Delete the BizTalk application. This removes its data from the BizTalk databases for the BizTalk group. When you do this, the application no longer displays in the BizTalk Administration console.
Uninstall the BizTalk application. This removes the files and settings associated with the application and its artifacts from the local file system.
Removing other files and settings. You may also need to remove certain other files and settings associated with the application."

Disabling the Mail Application?

I'm running 10.6.8 on an original 2006 Macbook Pro. I've ALWAYS had a problem with my "Mail" application!!! I NEVER use it!!! I actually HATE it!!!
But I LOVE using the "Calendar" application.
My problem occurs when my turning on my computer and I get a "Calendar Alert". I guess the Calendar is somehow linked to "Mail" and it tries to launch "Mail" EVERY SINGLE TIME I have a Calendar Alert!!! It's soooo ANNOYING!!!!
The ONLY way to get "Mail" NOT to launch is by turning off the "alarms" or "alerts" for every single event in my Calendar. It's horrible. For example, I create a new event in my Calendar, save it, then go back into it and turn off the alarms. After years of experience, this seems like the ONLY way to NOT get "Mail" to launch.
Therefore, I deleted the "Mail" application!!! I could've sworn that this solved my problem, in the past. But I recently wiped/restored my computer, and therefore, had to delete "Mail" all over again.
NOW, when I turn on my laptop and I have a Calendar alert, "Mail" still tries to launch and a window pops up trying to locate the "Mail" application. I've attached a screenshot of the window.
Does anybody have any ideas for me??? Like I said, I've deleted the Mail app before and it seemed to not cause any problems. But now I'm getting this terrible pop up window.
And like I also said, if I were to leave the Mail app on my computer, and God forbid, forget to turn off the alarms for a new event (which I like using the alarms sometimes), then the Mail app launches, and usually freezes because I don't have it linked to any of my email accounts!!!
This is just ALL AROUND TERRIBLE!!!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!! I HOPE THIS MADE SENSE!!!!!!!!!!

Your problem isn't Mail.app your problem is that you are using a script that expects Mail to be installed.
What is the script that is so important to the calendar events? If you can find the raw Applescript & edit out the references to Mail this nonsense should stop.
Are you trying to use the built in 'email alert' type of iCal alarm? I don't think that can ever work if you refuse to use Mail. I think you will need another Applescript to access your email client instead (or use a message alert type).
If you have a lot of alerts set to use email alerts it will be tough to find them & delete the action, I suppose you can export each calendar & then open the calendar.ICS file in a text editor. That should allow you to find the lines with the 'ACTION:EMAIL' line which need editing for that event.
I suspect sending invitations will also fail, so you will need to forget about that feature too.

Where can I find the iPod application for the iPhone?

My son (3yrs) just deleted the iPod application to watch videos and to listen to music on my iPhone 3Gs. Where can I find the download to reinstall this vital application? The fact that the application is called iPod and there are millions of hits for the iPod makes the search very tedious...

It can't be deleted, it's been moved to another page where you most likely can't see/find it, so do this: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout...see if you see it now.

Need more information. Did you delete the iTunes application or a particular piece of content (movie, app, music etc)?
Music, apps, TV Shows, Books can be reloaded if they were purchased from iTunes. Non-purchased music gets this function with iTunes Match. Movies is currently US only, and not all titles are available at this time.
