Deleting the data from the PSA

Hi Experts,
I have a case where I have to delete my PSA data,which is all about nearly two years data.
Any idea on this highly appreciated.

Yes, data in the PSA tables is periodically deleted to prevent it from getting bigger and bigger.
It is a good idea to delete incorrect requests or deltas for a data target, to which you do not want to load any more delta.

If you have multiple devices backing up to the Cloud, you will see all of them listed. You would click on each device to change what is backed up from that device. You can then delete your individual back-ups.
Once you have all your settings to your liking, you can then go back to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, and click on Back Up Now (bottom of the screen) to create a fresh backup with your new settings.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can only wipe your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.

Delete Transaction Data from date to date

Hi All,
we want to delete transactional data from date to to date
is there any way to delete data from date to todate?
We are aware of following tcodes
OBR1- Reset transaction data
CXDL - Delete transaction data from ledger
But there is no period/from date to date option available
Example:
we are in 2010 now we want to delete data from 2005- 2007 and we don't want to archive

In ODS > right click > Manage on the Contents tab you also have the option of Selective Delete...were you looking for something else?

select the records from the cube or ods and put in to one internal table.

i deleted all of the messages in inbox and in memory card. i also tried *#7370#. stil the memory is full. i check the phone memory status everytime i delete the messages and it will show available memory for about 30kb. when i restart the phone and check the phone memory, it will indicate that it has 0 kb left. i didn't installed any application in it.

Approach to deleting master data from BW

Hi Gurus,
Is there a way to quicly delete master data from BW? Since the master data object have dependencies with ither objects its taking me forever to go and delete it one by one...i go to the where used list ..delete the contents of the object in the where used list and then some back to delete the contents of the intial object..
kindly let me know if there is a faster way of doing it...

Try a Reset...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the steps in this article to force the device into recovery mode.

Deletion of data from the cube

Hi,
In our sales cube i want to delete the raws from the cube where there is no data for invoice quantity.
Likewise in my material master i want to delete the raws without division.
Is there any permenant solution. I suppose we can write routine.Where should i write the routine ? i mean at update rule level or transfer rule level or start routine will be the best option.Which one will be faster and why ?

I understood, that the records are already in the cube.
Selective deletion will not work because you can't select on keyfigure values.
So create records with RECORDMODE = R (Reverse Image) for these records you want to dissappear. Get the relevant records into a flatfile, upload these records with recordmode R with all keyfigures inverted. The incorrect values will the vanish.
A Deletion with recordmode = D is not possible for cubes.
For the Material-Records:
Within the updaterules, get the relevant Materialrecords into an internal table.
(SELECT * FROM /BI0/PMAT_SALES into itab_mat_del WHERE DIVISION is inital.)
For these MasterDatarecords: check in the sid-Table, if the relevant materialnumbers are in use already (Check Flags in the sid-Table).
loop at itab_mat_del into wa_mat_del.
select single * from /BIC/SMAT_SALES where
MATERIAL = wa_mat_del-material.
if CHCKFL is initial.
if DATAFL is initial.
if INCFL is initial.
If they are not used, the can be deleted by using the function module RSDMD_DEL_MASTER_DATA.

Can I restore the deleted statistical data from the database tables?

Hi all,
I have deleted the statistical data from the database tables like(Ex: RSDDSTAT, RSDDSTATWHM,..) by mistake through RSA1> Tools> BW Statistics for Infoproviders--> Delete.
Is there any way to restore the deleted data back? Thanks in advance.

but your last respsonse said

If you used the RSA1 -> Tools -> BW Statistics for InfoProviders -> clicked 'Delete' - then you deleted the data from the RSDDSTAT tables. This assumes you accepted the default date range that would have popped up after the clicking on the Delete button which specified to delete thru the current date. If this is what you did, the data is gone. Your only hope is be to recover from a DB backup.
The data in the RSDDSTAT tables is what is used to feed the BW Statistics cubes, generally on a daily basis.

Hello and welcome to the Palm forums.
A hard reset wipes everything off your device. A hard reset is performed by holding down the power/end call button while removing the battery from your device for a few seconds. Keep your hand on the power/end call button until you put the battery back into your device. After you put the battery back in, the screen will say "Palm Powered." Take your hand off the power/end call button. You will now see a screen in 5 languages prompting you to erase all data from the palm. The screen will say "erase all data? Yes - up, no - down" and you need to click on the up arrow (button on the 5 way navigator on the bottom of the treo). This will erase all the info from your device.

Deletion of data from change log table and PSA

Hi,
For a DSO I want to delete data from "Chnage log table" and " PSA Tabel".
For the DSO manage screen I have seen " Environment-> " Delete changelog table" from this we can delete chnage log table data as per my understanding.
at PSA Level Mange screen also I have seen " Environment-> " Delete changelog table" from this option also it deletes the data from change log table or it deletes data from PSA table?.
if this option also deletes data from changelog table then how we can delete data from PSA table?

I am not sure what are you referring to from your point "PSA Level Mange screen also I have seen " Environment-> " Delete changelog table". When ever you click on manage for your psa you will be routed to a popup where you can see all your requests in the PSA table & there after if you click on any single request you will get Environment menu option but there wotn be any change log deletion option available. Please check again? Right clicking on your data source will take you to the manage requests for PSA. You can selectively delete the requests as required.
For DSO when you right click on manage you can directly find Delete change log data option in the Environment tab. there you can select the requests you want to delete.
Also if you want to automate the deletion process then you can simply create a chain and include the steps for PSA deletion & change Log deletion accordingly.
Also it is recommended to keep on clearing the PSA table & Chage log data at regular intervals as it saves the disk space & thus helping in performance optimization

How do we delete data from the file on application Server.
For deleting the file, we use DELETE DATASET <filename>.
If we want to delete only the data and not the file, how to address it?

Another way could be get the file name and store in a var , then delete the file and afterwards
create a new one with the same name as stored in the var.

How to delete some data from GLPCA table

Dear Friends,
We have extracted some data in GLPCA table via the ECPA component. We
want to delete these records ( Doc type and Posting date is known).
However we do not want other data already existing the GLPCA to be
deleted. Is there some Std SAP Trx for deletion of partial/select data
from EIS tables.

Please check the use of the report ZDELETE_PCA_DATA_BUKRS (mentioned in the SAP note 1174360), to delete totals from GLPCT.
I am not sure of any deletion reports for GLPCA table.
If you open the Source code of this program, you can see the following information :
"This report provides a possibility to delete actual and plan
*& postings on company code level as an alternative for transaction
*& 0KE1."
I do not have much information on this report as, personally I haven't used this anytime. Please run in 'Test Run' mode first and look for the results.
