Deleting the date in the picture

hi all, some of my pictures still have the date and time on them i deleted them off the camera so was wondering if its possible to delete them in iphoto?

If you mean that the date and time are part of the actual image, that is, not just part of the exif data, than no, there is no easy way to remove it. The pixels that make up the date and time are indistingusihable from the ones in the rest of the picture.
You can use Photoshop, Photoshop:Elements or similar software and use the clone tool to remove the date, but it will be a lot of work.

  • Is it possible to delete the dates on my pictures once i've uploaded them?

I tried to get rid of the dates on the camera, to see if i could upload them again, but it ony got rid of the dates on pictures i took after i changed that setting. I need to know if its possible to get rid of the dates after i've already uploaded them without having to crop the pictures. Also, are the editing options on the bottom toolbar in iPhoto the only options? Meaning- can I edit my pictures any more than those limited options allow me to? Are there any other programs that come with the computer (mine uses Tiger) to edit pictures? Please help! thank you!

My guess is you're going to have to use an external editing program like Photo Shop Elements etc. If the date came in on the photo (like it would be on a negative) the only way to get it out is by some external editing. I don't think iPhoto has that type of advanced capabilities. Cropping would be the only way I'd know how to get it out of there on iPhoto.
Someone else may have a better idea only using iPhoto. I've used Photo Shop for years and not use PS CS2, so I could get rid of the dates.

  • Does reinstalling OSX delete the data on the drive?

Does reinstalling OSX via recovery drive delete any data on the drive? Basically, I think the install of yosemite I have now is messed up and needs to be redone. Safari doesn't open in normal start up mode but opens in safe mode. I figured a reinstall of OSX would help? Does reinstalling it remove all the data on the drive? Or does it detect that there is data there and leaves it alone? Thanks in advance.

    Hey Kpe413,
Thanks for the question. Using the built-in recovery disk to reinstall OS X will keep your files and user settings intact. However, you should always make a back up of your data via Time Machine or manual methods in case you run into any issues. For more information, check out the following resources:

  • Is there a way to tell if the date on a picture in iPhoto is from actual metadata vs just the date it was imported to the program?

I have many photos in iPhoto whose dates I know to be wrong and many appear to be the date I moved them all to a new Mac. I photos in question, I think, were originally on a PC and in Picassa. If it was taken before metadata was embedded, I suppose I can just guess and change the dates on the photos however, if iPhoto just applied the date of the transfer to the Mac, perhaps there is accurate metadata somewhere that I could retreive. How can I tell where iPhoto is getting its dates for pictures?
    Thanks,

If the Exif metadata is intact, then iPhoto gets the date from there. If it's not, then iPhoto gets the file date.
So, if iPhoto is showing you the date of import there is no Exif intact.

When I restart the mac pressing Command R to restore it from the backup it shows the previous OS X (Leopard) beside the date of the backup that I want to select. Will it go back to Leopard if I restore it from the backup?

No, it won't revert to the prior OS X but you you may have third party apps installed that were compatible with Lion that may not be compatible with Mountain Lion.

  • Is it all the data on the iphone is deleted when iphone is in Recovery Mode?

is it all the data on the iphone from the past is deleted when iphone is in Recovery Mode? or is there anyway i can manage the data from the past when my iphone is in Recovery Mode?  or is it when my iphone is in Recovery Mode, all the data from the past is clear and its all fresh disk like the new iphone? is there anyway i can still acess the old data on iphone in recovery mode?

Depends. There is no supported method, from Apple, to exit recovery mode, other than restoring your phone. That, of course, means that all data on your phone gets erased. There are third-party utilities, like RecBoot, that claim to be able to get an iPhone in/out of recovery mode with the push of a button. You can search for these yourself.

  • How to delete entity-Data in the Database?

    Hello!
    Problem:
I want to change the the Datatype of an attribute of an Entity-Service. Doing so and deploying the Application afterwards I get an deployment error, because of the changed Datatype.
Undeploying the application doesn´t delete the Data of the Entities and doesn´t solve my Problem.
Where can I manipulate or delete the Data-Tables of my Entity-Services? I´ve applied local peristency.
Thank you for your effort in advance.
    Jörg

    Hi Ju00F6rg ,
Two possible ways to solve this:
    1. Check deployment exception and understand that is the cause. Typically, that's clear from exception which db table can not be updated. You can remove those entries which restrict table updating or remove whole table from DB at all.
    2. Open your CAF dictionary project and check all tables names. Then connect to your DB and execute statement
like this for all of the tables:
    DELETE FROM <YOUR_TABLE>
DB name you can find by openening config tool:
    \usr\sap\<instance>\JC<id>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat
Click "Yes" for "Do you want to use the default DB setting?" message box. Select the "secure store" entry under "cluster-data" entry. Check the "databasename" property for
    "jdbc/pool/<instnace>/Url" entry.
So, after that connect to this DB using according DB client and access your tables.
    Best regards,

  • How do I see the dates that the pictures were taken?*

How do I find the dates that each picture was taken? It would be like right clicking and seeing when the picture was taken or saved. I can't find this info anywhere.

    Hi catswalk,
iPhoto is the photo app on a Mac. If you have Windows, it would be under My Photos, or Pictures - not sure exactly. But basically, the picture information is only available on a computer as a direct part of the photos. You should be syncing your iPhone to iTunes on a computer so that you can back up all of your stuff. If you have iCloud, that backs up some things, but not your entire photo library - only your Photo Stream and Camera Roll from your iPhone.
So, really, it depends on what type of computer you are syncing with.....
However, there is an App in the App Store called Photo Investigator. It is free, but the free version comes with ads. For .99 cents, you can remove the ads. Once it is installed, you can select any photo on your phone, and it will give you not only date and time, but a lot of other info that you may or may not care about.
There probably are other apps available to do what you are looking for as well....
    Hope this helps!
    Cheers,

  • I purchased a new ipad 3.  I have all of my apps synced to the new ipad.  Can I now Erase and Delete all of the data off the old ipad without effecting my account?

I purchased a new ipad3 and have gotten all of my previously purchase apps loaded.  Can I now perform an erase and delete all data on the old ipad without doing harm to my itunes account and my new pad?

I just bought the new iPad over the weekend. Restored from the old iPad backup - got everything moved onto the new one gave the old one to my daughter - wiped my 4 email accounts off of the old device and then she proceeded to delete all but about 3 apps from the thing. It had no effect on my new iPad.
    You are good to go!
