Deleting unwanted items

Hi
Newbie here so please be gentle.
I manually sync my ipod as my wife has a nano and we share the computer, but not the same taste in music !
I drag & drop from our library into my pod, how do I remove individual tunes manualy ?
Thanks
Steve

If you want to switch to different Libraries hold the shift key (for windows users) down when starting iTunes. This allows you to select which library you want to use. What is happening is iTunes defaults to the last open library. If you haven't added anything to that library it will appear empty. If you hook your iPod to a different library it should ask if you want to sync to the new library as it is not the same as the one in your iPod. At least that is how it does on both my windows side and my Mac side.

  • Illustrator CS6: deleting unwanted items outside a clipping path

    Hi everyone,
I'm creating a logo that employs a stippled texture (a half-tone) in various sections of objects comprising the logo. I've placed the stipple where I want it, created a clipping path to capture the area. Now I have all these other points that I don't need that I want to delete.
Is there anyway short of releasing the clipping path, manually delete unwanted sections of the stipple and then re-apply the clipping path again? It would be like 'Applying Mask' in photoshop.

You can enter isolation mode without releasing the clipping mask. Beyond that I don't see a way to do this automatically unless you want to make your stipples a compound path or group and use Pathfinder operations. Unfortunately AI doesn not have inside/ outside detection for these kinds of scenarios that wouzld allow to quickly select separate objects in this fashion...

  • How to delete unwanted items in launchpad

I can't stand using Google Chrome on a mac but is my favorite browser otherwise. I had to install it for a few mins. to download something off of a specific website the other day.
I then uninstalled Chrome and now I have these other icons still in the launchpad and hopefully not still on my computer. When I click them they just get some window that pops up saying it can't open.
How do I remove these unwanted icons that google chrome put in my launchpad? If I click and hold until the "jiggle" no "x" comes up. If I try to drag to trash it doesn't delete. If I search in spotlight and drag to trash it does nothing.
Is there a free app to help delete these icons? Ever since I've started trying Mac i've been getting these annoyning little issues like this.
How long can this go on for lol.
    Thanks for any help.

  • How do I delete unwanted items stored on my PC I cloud?

Subject is ? But also ask how do I know what IOS my phone is.
    Tks

    Hi Chief 123,
It seems you would like some information about managing your iCloud data. Just so we're on the same page, are you referring to photos, files? You also mentioned you didn't know which version of iOS you are running on your device. To find out which version of iOS you have, follow these directions:
    iCloud: iOS software version
iOS is the mobile operating system for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. For best performance, it’s a good idea to update all iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to the latest versions.
To determine which iOS software your device uses, go to Settings > General > About > Version.
To update the iOS, connect your device to your computer and install the latest iOS using iTunes.
You can install future updates from your device by tapping Settings > General > Software Update.

Download OmniDiskSweeper from the Internet (free) and open it.  It will produce a display i a sequential format showing what you have on your MBP and the space each item is taking.  This should assist you in identifying all of your disk space 'hogs'.

  • How to delete a Item line in a Sales Order during Copy Control

I want to delete a Line item (VBAP ) record for a certain condition during Copying from reference  . I am writing the code in the Data Transfer Routine 151 which is called through VOFM Transaction  . I  cannot delete it as it . it is a work area VBAP . When i Clear it in debugging i am only able to clear the Line items . I want to completely remove the line . Is there a user exit for the same .

    Hi,
You should create a new copy requirement routine at item level in order to exclude the unwanted item.
Assign the requirement routine to each item category type in the copy control .

  • How do I permanently delete unwanted purchased books from my ibooks and applied?

How do I permanently delete unwanted purchases from my ibooks/ Apple ID?

You can't permanetly delete any item from your purchase history, all you can do is hide them via your computer's iTunes so that they don't show in the Purchased links for redownloading : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919
You can delete downloaded ibooks from the bookshelf in the iBooks app on your device via the Edit button at the top of the bookshelf

  • Cannot delete calendar items, even with delete permission

    Hello,
we have applied the following GPO Setting on per User basis:
Store deleted items in owner's mailbox instead of delegate's Mailbox
As we moved from Lotus Notes to Outlook and  are using some shared Mailbox, this option is a must have for us.
The negative part: A User that want's to share his calendar with someone else and gives delete permission (for example publishing Editor)
cannot delete items. If the Users gives "author" permission on his own "deleted items" Folder in his Mailbox, it's working.
When you know it, it seems logically, but uncomfortable for the user.
Is there another way to work around the issue, for example set the author automatically when applying delete permission on calendar items, if the mentioned GPO is applied.
It think this might be a good patch for Outlook :-)

    Hi,
Just as you mentioned, it is logical and it's the expected behavior. This issue occurs because the Deleted Items folder is not granted permissions when delegates are set in Outlook. There is no way to automatically set the author when applying delete
permission on calendar items. If it's an unwanted item, we can just hold Shift key and delete the calendar item. This will permanently delete the item without moving it to Deleted Items folder. Or, we have to grant the delegate at least author level permissions
to the Deleted Items folder of the owner's mailbox in Outlook. See:

How do I delete an unwanted (and uninvited) RSS feed?
An RSS feed suddenly appeared in my Safari RSS reader list. That was odd enough, but when I deleted it from my list of feeds in my Safari bookmarks, it's still showing up in my feed.
How do I delete an item from my RSS feed list?
Second question, I wonder how this one got there in the first place?

    HI Bruce
From the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Preferences and select the RSS tab.
You can set all your RSS preferences from that pane.

  • HT4673 I delete unwanted apps with the jiggling x, but they promptly reappear the next time I open launchpad.  How do I delete in Lion?

I delete unwanted apps with the jiggling x, but they promptly reappear the next time I open launchpad.  How do I delete in Lion?

I'd suggest removing the unwanted items directly from your Applicaitons folder. In order to do this, you'll need to highlight the desired applicaiton, then use File -> Move to Trash (or CMD + Delete on your keyboard).
If they're still showing up in Launchpad, or if they don't exist in the Applications folder, use the following command in Terminal to remove your existing Launchpad databases (as they may be damaged and not updating correctly) and restart Launchpad (which will create fresh databases):
    rm ~/Library/Application\ Support/Dock/*.db ; killall Dock

Delete the back up and start again, this time choosing just the items you want backed up.

  • Ipad mini cannot delete unwanted app from the purchase list

Ipad mini cannot delete unwanted app from the puchase list . too many app there

You can't permanently delete any items from your purchase history, but you should be able to hide them via your computer's iTunes : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919 - if your iPad is on iOS 7, then after hiding them on your computer you may need to log out of your account on your iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in for them to be hidden in the Purchased tab in the App Store app on it (the last time I hid an app I needed to do that).
