Deleting Users in EBS r12.1.1 Is it possible?
Hello everyone,
I am a junior QA engineering that has been given the task to learn about EBS(E-Business Suite) r12.1.1. I am very new to EBS, and have never worked on any other ERP software.
I would like to know if there is a way to delete users that I create. When I try to delete a user it doesn’t actually remove the user entry. It suspends/suspends the user.
Is there a way to delete user accounts from the EBS user store/database?

Hi,
Applications users cannot be deleted since records belonging to users are kept for security and monitoring purposes (same applied for responsibilities). In addition, the user is recorded in Who columns, so deleting would cause foreign table data integrity issues.

Error while creating application user in EBS R12 through sysadmin

Pls. complete the following step:-
1) what's your R12 RUP version ?
2) As user 'MURTHY4' do not exist in FND_USERS, please do the following:
Enable Log Debug for E-Business Suite
Connected as System Administrator, modify the following system profiles:
FND: Debug Log Enabled Yes
FND: Debug Log Filename <empty>
FND: Debug Log Level STATEMENT
FND: Debug Log Mode Asynchronous with Cross-Tier Sequencing
FND: Debug Log Module % or fnd%
There is no need to stop and restart E-Business Suite.
All log information will be created in the table FND_LOG_MESSAGES.
Make sure nobody access the system or else it will put redundant entries in fnd_log_messages.
Truncate the table first using command:
truncate table applsys.fnd_log_messages; commit;
then perform the steps as described below
As soon as you finished reproducing the problem, run the following query :
select timestamp,module,message_text from fnd_log_messages order by log_sequence asc;
then save the O/P in an excel spread sheet and upload the RESULTS for review.
Revert the debug settings

Disabling Default Users in EBS R12

We are bit confused with license of Users?? We would like to disable default users as we are extending user's counts.. I would like to know whether License allows us to add no. of users including default users or can we add no. of users excluding default users??
Is there any script through which I can check the amount of active users/licenses??
Is there any doc to refer??Is there any way through which i can check the no of users i already have ?? (EBS concurrent)+
The total number of users for eBiz is stored in FND_USERS

You might want to see number of users who are still able to login
select count(*) from fnd_user where end_date is null or end_date >= sysdate;
While we're at it, you might want to verify which users haven't logged in for a while, so you can confirm they are still needed (365 = arbitrary number of days)

Deleting the all collected optimizer stats for EBS R12
Hi DBAs,
How I can completely delete the optimizer statistics related to EBS R12 running on database 11.2.0.2. Purge old stats job seems only purging the old concurrent data, not the optimizer statistics.

WS Security error while invoking EBS R12 Conc job

I have 2 soa services, where <orchest_Service> calls <conc_job_Loader> service. <conc_job_Loader> service is used to schedule a EBS R12 concurrent program. the <orchest_Service> calls the <conc_job_Loader> service and passes all required parameters. We've tried to call that web service from an HTML designed in Visual Studios with the same username and password and its working fine.
But on the BPEL console, we are getting the error as mentioned.
Also if you can tell me how to set the user name and password in the header of the parter link.I could not find how to do it.

Page can not be Displayed in EBS R12 64bit - OEL 5.4 64bit

I have just installed EBS R12 (12.0.4) 64 bit on OEL 5.4 64bit, for our new client.
The installation was successfull in general, but as usual I hit with this "Page Can Not Be Displayed" error and the client side ie browser.
I can startup and shutdown the DbTier with status "0".
I can startup and shutdown the AppsTier with status "0" (well it shows this overall status at the end, but I see some error with "OHS")

EBS R12.1.3 with Apex 4.1.1 Calling a JSP
I am running Apex 4.1.1 using EBS 12.1.3. THe EBS instance is a two tier system (web/application server on a different machine to the database). A glassfish server has been installed on the same server as EBS web server(same linux owner for both) and the Apex listner is running inside glassfish.
I am wanting to call a JSP(located on the web) server from Apex, to get a list of files from a given directory(on the web server) and display the files in the browser using using apex. In other word, a user click on a button/tab... it runs a JSP that returns a list of the files in a given directory and displays them in a tabular format within Apex.
Can this be done, if so how ?

In the white paper its said that Create Authentication Scheme From scratch, but there is no option to create application scheme from the scratch,but the page showing like this
When you create a new authentication scheme, you have several options. Most let you reuse implementations that already exist in your application or in other applications within your workspace. There are even some pretested schemes you can copy to get you up and running immediately.
Create Scheme:
Based on a pre-configured scheme from the gallery
As a copy of an existing authentication scheme
You may create a new authentication scheme by making a copy of one in this application or in another application in your workspace. Then you can edit the new scheme, changing the name to what you prefer and changing any of the settings to meet your requirements.
Alternately, you may create a new authentication scheme from scratch by stepping through the wizard and specifying all of the parameters.
How can we create Authentication Scheme using the wizard but there is no option to create via wizard.
Kindly help me because i had no idea and stuck up at this point, is any document you have kindly share with me it would be grateful...

Unable to open XML report in Oracle EBS r12
Hi,
I have new installation of Oracle EBS r12 (12.1.1) on linux.
To test the XML report, I changed the output of standard report 'Active Users' from 'Text' to 'XML' and defined the data definition and template for this report.
I am unable to see the output for XML reports. The report completes without error, however I cannot open the output file.
The browser opens for fraction of a second and then closes down. My client machine is Windows 7 and I used Microsoft words 2010 to build template
I used the 5.7.201 version of BI publisher to create the rtf template.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

Installing EBS R12 on Windows Vista Basic
I am trying to install EBS R12 media pack on my computer having Windows Vista Basic.
I could have the installation pass 2 steps out of 5.
But while performing the third step, it is failing with the following error:

Apply the Patch with adpatch and use driver file u9171651.drv.
Post steps to be done as listed below as per Patch Readme.
Description
This patch must be applied on all the APPL_TOPs.
If your system is implemented as a Shared Application Tier File System,
you need to apply this patch only once, on any one of the application
tier nodes. However, AutoConfig must be executed on all the Nodes.
This patch can be applied on 12.1 or higher.
Post Install Steps
After applying this patch, update all Database Tier Nodes with the code level
provided by this patch, by performing the following steps :
1. On the Application Tier (as the APPLMGR user):
. Source the environment variables for Oracle Applications

Cloning ebs r12 on 11gR2 database

our ebs r12 12.1.3 and db 11..2.0.2 OS:oul5x64
from ebs r12 12.1.3 and db 11.1.0.7 i do not have any problems with cloning, but when upgrade database to 11.2.0.2 . the template file was different and the clone failed because it could not fine the controlfile.

it failed at stage # 3
because the template on image copy did not have any of archive backup. so the copy only contains the database files that was why it always failed at this stage.

How to upload data into form of Oracle EBS R12 using ATS ver 9.0
Hi experts,
Could you please guide me how to upload data into form on Oracle EBS R12 using Oracle Application Testing Suite verson 9.(The simpliest way)
For example: I need to create user account on Oracle EBS. Normally, I use Dataloader to upload the data, however it just can upload one by one record, cannot upload multi record at same time. Moreover if the performance of server is low, so I will get the issue when using dataloader.

HieuHi you can create Virtual users to enter data. Note than you have to name the objects accordingly.
For Example default recording provided by Open script is ObjectNAME_(Index No of the object).
when you record one iteration the name of any object would be ObjectNAME_(0)
You can then create virtual users so the index will increment as the total number of Virtual users increases. Also you have to handle which row of your test data would get mapped to which Virtual user in the script run session.
