Deletion Interface
Hi,
We are having SAP ECC 6.0 (R/3) system which is integrated with diffrent legacy systems in the region using SAP PI 7.0 SR 2 as a middleware.
Whenever there is a change in transactional data in SAP R/3 system like Purchase order,Sales order,Shipment or Delivery,
the R/3 system automatically genrates a standred IDOC which is prapogating to legacy system through SAP PI and updating both R/3 & legacy system by making data synchronization.
But in case of deletion of such transactional data entries in R/3 system, we are uable to trigger an IDOC in R/3 system and it creates data update mismatch between SAP R/3 & Legacy system.
Can anyone suggest how we can resolve this problem or any known solution for such deletion activity in source R/3 system?
Regards,
Nilesh Joshi
Hi,
Whenever the deletion happens in the R/3 system, the entry gets deleted from DB and it do not set any deletion flag at the header level.
Hence it is not generating any standred IDOC in R/3 system.
Is it possible to generate IDOC in such scenarios or any alternate solution is available for this?
Regards,
Nilesh Joshi

- connect to your work repository
- try deleting interface
- if it fails look into v$sqlarea for your query

Deleting interfaces from class
hi to all
I am trying to delete interfaces from class . But it showing that "You cannot perform this action in modification/enhancement mode". where is the problem.
thank youHi,
This error comes up when the object you are trying to edit has original system as something else. This is a protection given by the modification assistant, so that the changes to the objects are recorded. If you know what you are doing(modifying objects in non-original system), go to edit menu and select modifications and select "switch off modification assistant".

WLC Deleting Interface: Interface group is being used by AP Group
When trying to delete an interface from an interface group, I am getting the error Interface group is being used by AP Group. Is there a way I can delete the interface?
Or you can select another interface freeing the one up you want to delete and then delete it .. key here is that the WLC wont delete a interface that is tied to a WLAN ..

Deleting Interface: Interface group is being used by AP Group
When trying to delete an interface from the Interface Groups, I am getting an error "Interface group is being used by AP Group." Is there a way I can go in to delete the interface?
Hi toupheng.her, thank you for using our forum, my name is Johnnatan I am part of the Small business Support community. In this case you need to disable all protocols or vlans where you are using the group that you want to delete, probably a vlan is using your group and that´s why you can´t delete it, then you will be able to delete it. You can also search ACL, VPN, NAT, etc... I hope you find this answer useful,

Impact of Deleting interface from ASA
Hi Everyone,
During our maintenance window i need to delete few interfaces from ASA.
In ASDM when i filter by these interface names i see many acl configured for these interfaces but ACL have different name as compare to interface
name.
If i delete the interface will it also delete all those ACLs and any object groups configured under interface subnets?
Or
What else will be deleted when i delete the interface from ASA?
Regards
MAheshYou would have to re write that ACL entry as it will either be deleted or the reference to the inside interface will be deleted and the rest of the ACL will remain. When I tested it my ACL remained but the name of the interface was removed. As I mentioned I am testing this on an 8.4 box so it is possible that in newer versions this ACL will be deleted.
the access-group inside_access_in in interface inside command will be deleted once you delete the inside interface...actually you don't need to delete the inside interface for it to be deleted, you only need to remove the nameif command from the interface. once the nameif is removed from the interface, all commands that reference that name will also be deleted.
This is why I stated that you should assume that all commands that reference the name of the interface you are deleting will also be deleted. That would include, but not limited to, ACLs, NAT, Policy maps, and static routes...just to name a few.

BPM question - Delete all entries in a table and Insert data
Hello,
I'm new to PI BPM and have this scenario to implement.
I'm supposed to delete all entries in a table and then insert data to the same table.
Is BPM necessary? If it is, what is the best practice to implement my scenario?
I want to make sure that all entries were successfully deleted before insert data.
How do I check if all entries in the table were deleted successfully before
initiating insert.
Thank you.
-WonHi Won,
Yes, this is possible without BPM.
You have to create 2 separate mappings, each for deleting & inserting the records.
You will have 2 different Interface mappings as well.
But in ID, create a single interface determination.
In that, configure Deletion interface mapping first and in the second row, configure Insertion interface mapping.
Please make sure that the parameter 'Mainain Order At runtime' is checked in interface determination.
-Supriya. -
Hello All,
Scenario BW to ORACLE
I have to write a JDBC delete statement and then insert in two message mappings
This is to delete the table records before inserting
And in the interface determination, maintain order time and give the order delete first and then insert
These are all done and in the receiver CC, I have unchecked key tags mandatory. and concurrence 10
Now, I am getting an error "unique constraint violation when executed the interface
Any idea what does this error means and this error comes under delete interface execution and the insert interface portion is on hold status in message monitoring of RWB
thx
mikeHi Mike,
The error you are getting cannot be generated from DELETE statement. This error is given by oracle when an UPDATE or INSERT statement attempted to insert a duplicate key. For Trusted Oracle configured in DBMS MAC mode, you may see this message if a duplicate entry exists at a different level.
you have to either remove the unique restriction or do not insert the key.
This means insert operation is taking place before DELETE. You need to prevent that.

PRIF-33 and CRS-02307 while changing public network interface, RAC
Hi,
I'm working on an Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production With the Partitioning, Real Application Clusters, Automatic Storage Management. It's a 3 nodes RAC: mgvdb01/02/03
After the installation I had to change IP (different IP and Subnet) to the RAC:
From 172.17.1.0/24 to 10.19.201.0/24.
Node from 172.17.1.31/32/33 to 10.19.201.31/32/33.
The same for VIP(s): from 172.17.1.131/132/133 to 10.19.201.131/132/133.
The oifcfg iflist shows correct ips configuration:

ECATT: Bad Message Handling in VL02N (Line Deletion)
Hello All,
I'm having a big headache with the following automation scenario on VL02N transaction:
- open a DN number
- use position button to trigger screen where u can select a line
- enter a line (script parameter)
- validate the line
- use the delete button to delete selected line
- confirm the deletion message
- save and exit
I recorded the whole good case in one step of SAPGUI.
Problem is:
A)without catching any message, if line does not exist (ex line is 20 and 20 is already deleted),
the script raise no error BUT erases the first line in the screen (ie the lowest remaining one)
B) the proper error msg ("Line does not exists") is only triggered when i enter the next interface of the screen but this interface do the deletion of the lowest line!!
so either:
- i don't put the deletion interface in the MSG block and the message is not raised
- i put the deleting interface in the MSG block , the message is raised but too late.
Do i handle the message badly?
Is there a way to split the deletion interface to have separately the error detection and the deletion?
See code below
VL02N_111_STEP_1 = choice of line to position on
VL02N_1000_STEP_2 = deletion of selected line
MESSAGE ( VERIF_LINE_EXISTS ).
SAPGUI ( VL02N_111_STEP_1 ). <= this is the dialog where i select the line and get the error msg in record time
ENDMESSAGE ( E_VERIF_LINE_EXISTS ).
DO &TFILL.
IF ( VERIF_LINE_EXISTS[&LPC]-MSGID = 'VL' ).
IF ( VERIF_LINE_EXISTS[&LPC]-MSGNR = 341 ).
LOG ( VERIF_LINE_EXISTS[&LPC]-MSGV1 ).
LOG ( VERIF_LINE_EXISTS[&LPC]-MSGV2 ).
SAPGUI ( VL02N_10_1). <= exiting without deleting anything
SAPGUI ( VL02N_1000_1 ).
SAPGUI ( VL02N_4004_1 ).
ENDIF.
ELSE.
LOG ( "LINE EXISTS" ).
SAPGUI ( VL02N_1000_STEP_2 ). <= deleting the line
ENDIF.
ENDDO.
===below is saving and existing the transactionHi Woody,
Position button would retrive/result in the desired result only when the value is present, else it would select those elements/lines which are possibly the next or the previous.
Like, suppose you are searching for 21 out of 20, 22, 23.. The search result would select 20 in some cases or 21 in some other cases. Its basically done on the alphabetical/numeric order in decending manner...
That might be one reason that you are not able to get a message saying wrong selection. To overcome such situation, I would have taken a list of database entries for the respective DN number and would have compared with the result.
One thumb rule which I follow is, when ever I am going to use position button, I would also use a gettab to retrive values from the table, which has helped me almost 95% of the times.
If that is a structure and/or there are multiple tables that are associated with the grid values, its always suggested to use SQL queries in INLINE ABAP.
Also, you could substitute a single IF instead of nested IF in your statements..
IF ( VERIF_LINE_EXISTS[&LPC]-MSGID = 'VL' AND VERIF_LINE_EXISTS[&LPC]-MSGNR = 341 ).
LOG ( VERIF_LINE_EXISTS[&LPC]-MSGV1 ).
LOG ( VERIF_LINE_EXISTS[&LPC]-MSGV2 ).
SAPGUI ( VL02N_10_1). <= exiting without deleting anything
SAPGUI ( VL02N_1000_1 ).
SAPGUI ( VL02N_4004_1 ).
ELSE.
LOG ( "LINE EXISTS" ).
SAPGUI ( VL02N_1000_STEP_2 ). <= deleting the line
ENDIF.
Also, see if the deletion is taken place basing on the row & col id of the line. If it is always deleting the line item 0,0 then you should make sure that you have to take the id of that line which is to be deleted.
Hope this info helps.
Best regards,
Harsha

Can't authenticate Mac VPN client from RADIUS server
Hello,
I'm a real noob here so please bear with me.
I have been able to configure my PIX 515E to allow VPN connections onto my network, but what I need to do is set up some sort of user authentication to control access at a user level. From what I've read here and in the Configuration Guide I should be able to do this authentication with a RADIUS server. I'm running a Corriente Networks Elektron Security server which has RADIUS server capabilities. It is running on my (inside) interface at IP 192.168.10.26.
I thought that I had everything configured properly but it never seems to authenticate. I connect, the XAUTH window pops up, I add my username and password as it's configured on my RADIUS server, but when I click OK it just cycles the progress bar at the bottom and eventually times out. The client log doesn't show me anything and the log on the RADIUS server shows me nothing. Any ideas? this seems like it should be simple because I can connect until I attempt to authenticate to the RADIUS server.
TIA for any direction you can provide me.

VPN not working after Update from SLS to MLS
Hi folks,
last weekend I updated my Snow Leopard Server following the suggested procedure, installed first Mountain Lion and then OS X Server. Now I have a problem.
Setup:
- Macmini Server located in my private LAN, running SLS as a virtual machine (VMware)
- connected to the Internet via an AVM FritzBox 7270
For HTTP (80) and VPN (500, 1701 and 4500) the ports are forwarded to the virtual machine - everything was working well before the update (access to Website & VPN from both internal and external). The VPN connection is used either with an iPhoen or with my Macbook pro.
The website is still working like expected. VPN service is not working properly anymore. I can access it from internal, but not from external.
So, to make it clear, nothing but the server OS changed in the setup.
Any ideas? Changed ports from 10.6 to 10.8?
Thanks in advance,

Can only connect one user at a time via VPN?
Hi, long-term Mac user but new to OS X Server. Dug thru the forums quite a bit but couldn't find an answer to this one - hopefully I wasn't searching with the wrong keywords.
Installed OS X Server 10.6 on a MacBook (white, 1 generation back) at the office. Sits behind an Airport Extreme, which is connected to Comcast. Other machines at the office are NOT routed through the Server, but rather connect directly to the Airport Extreme for internet access. I've set up server.mydomainname.com to point to our Comcast address, and I am able to connect via VPN to the server without any problems, and access the server using the server.mydomainname.com address which I pointed to my Comcast IP address, as long as I check "Send all traffic over VPN connection" on my client.
However, when I'm logged in via VPN on one computer, and then log in via VPN on another computer (with the same UID or a different one), the first one loses all connectivity through the VPN - it's as if it had been logged off.
In Server Admin, under the Settings|Network tabs, I have Computer Name set up as "theserver", and Local Hostname as "theserver" (so I can access via theserver.private). VPN is set up to enable L2TP over IPsec, sharing ranges 10.0.1.200 thru 10.0.1.220; no load balancing, no PPTP. Client DNS servers is set to 10.0.1.29.
Any ideas as to why I can only connect with one client at a time? Thanks. I didn't see anything interesting, but then again I'm not up on VPN details. Here's the scenario:
First, I logged in as "user1", and I can use the VPN.
Then, I logged in as "user2", and I can use the VPN with user2, but user1 is no longer able to do anything over the VPN.
Then I hung up with user2, but user1 still can't see anything over the VPN.
Then I hung up and reconnected with user1, and user1 can use the VPN again.
Here's part of the log for this activity. I've replaced potentially identifying info with "XYZ" for safety. Appreciate any thoughts on this!

10.6 Server + Mac mini = Fail City, U.S.A.
Flashback: I had a dual 800 MHz G4 server running 10.5 Server. This is at my home, the server was acting as a file server plus dhcp server, router, mail server, light web server, netboot, etc. Then I got a Mac mini to replace the G4, so I could cut the power consumption of my setup by more than half, AND add media center to list of server tasks. 10.5 is Universal, so the drives went from my G4 to my 9400m mini without skipping a beat. Well it did skip one beat, eventually I had to spilt the mirrored raid, repartition one drive do GUID (from APM), then restore the remaining slice to the newly reformatted volume. Then erase the second volume and add is as a secondary to the first. That was only because some software updates don't like to run on an APM partition of they're on an Intel Mac.
Fast forward a few months.
I've been using my home server more and more to play video. 10.6 is supposed to use the video card for h264 decoding. So even though playing even HD video barely uses any CPU at all, I figured it would be a good time to upgrade to 10.6 Server. Then it would use even less CPU, plus I'd get a little snappiness.
Now the horror begins:
I'm not going to recount everything. But it was 48 hours of downtime, where every possible little thing that could go wrong, went wrong all at the same time. The short version is that the upgrade failed. So I restored from my Time Machine thinking I'd just try it again some other time. Turns out time machine doesn't backup your mail server. (THANKS FOR TELLING ME, APPLE) So then I figure I have everything ELSE backed up, and I still have all my mail on the clients. So then I reformat and do a clean install of Snow Leopard Server. Fail. Repeat. Fail. Repeat. Fail. <- more on that in a sec, but at this point, I'm deciding to just go back to 10.5 and be done with this "upgrade". But theres a problem, my 10.5.0 OS X Server disk won't boot this new Mac mini. Remember where this mini's drives came from? It was already on 10.5.6 or newer (forget) when they got put into this mini. So then I had to get an external drive, hook it up to my mac pro, install 10.5 on that, then netboot my mini off my macbook, and image the installed server over to the mini. Nightmare. But as of right now, I'm back on 10.5.8 and I've been running fast and stable for many hours now. So I believe the nightmare has ended.
But back to 10.6's problems . . .
The primary problem was this: My mini would connect to the cable modem and to my LAN. It would run fine for a few hours. Then it would drop it's DHCP IP. And it would not get it back. EVER. Reboot modem, reboot computer, delete interface, re-add interface, delete location, delete networking prefs. NOTHING and I mean NOTHING would get it back. It was like the computer freaked out and broke it's ability to connect as a DHCP client. The modem connects to an Apple USB Ethernet adapter, but even plugging directly into my modem, the ethernet port wouldn't grab an IP any more. With my macbook set up as a temporary DHCP server, the mini wouldn't get an ip from IT over ethernet. Other macs on the network did no problem. It was complete, unfixable DHCP failure. So I'd do another clean install, start over. Everything seemed good, but after an hour or so, suddenly the mini would drop it's IP and that was the end of that installation of OS X. Keep in mind the whole time this was happening, I could plug the USB ethernet adapter (thats connected to my modem) into my MacBook and it would get an ip in seconds. I even left the mini connected overnight while I slept, hoping it would straighten itself out by morning. Nope. Also, this happened under 10.6, then 10.6.2, then 10.6.1.
Now, I've been running 10.6 server on my MacBook Pro for a long time. I occasionally use it for DHCP Serving/Netboot Serving. It has always worked like a charm. So my theory at this point is that 10.6.2 Server seems to have some critical incompatibility with Mac minis. Which is a real ball buster considering the new Mac mini Server. I wonder if that new server has a slightly newer build of OS X Server on it.
So thats my story. I still want 10.6 on my home server, but now I'm kind of afraid of 10.6 server.
Heres another fun tidbit. My mini server is in one room, with it's keyboard, mouse, many connections to an external drive tower, modem, switch etc. But it's monitor is my television, thats in a different room. I've always used remote desktop to manage. But when the network itself is having problems. . . It's NOT fun when theres no easy way to move the TV or the Computer close to each other . . .To say that 10.6.2 doesn't like Mac Minis seems a bit of a stretch to me. No one else is reporting similar issues, so that hints towards something in your setup more than Mac OS X Server.
What's missing from your post is any hint at what the logs have to say about this.
Mac OS X Server is pretty good about logging problem events on the network and I'm sure there'd be some kind of hint there.
The other critical piece of information is what else is attached to that USB port. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that you've got some external storage device attached to the USB - the same USB that's trying to manage your network. If that external drive is going to sleep it could cause a USB bus reset, and there goes your network!
If that's the case, it's arguable that the server should just re-establish the link, and it probably should, but you're also asking it to perform under flaky conditions so unexpected things could happen. Again, the logs should make it pretty clear if that's what's going on.
