How to delete asset suppose i created asset and posted depriciation for some periods these assets how to delete could you explain me.

For deleting the asset you can use AS06 Transaction as said above.
But you told already the depreciation is posted.
Then you need to Reverse the Acquisition Amount and re run the depreciation, the your Asset netbook value will be zero and then you can delete the Asset.

An asset was created on the wrong asset class. I would like to erase it but this is impossible because of the capitalization date.
Indeed, I cannot change the fields status variant of the capitalization date, it is compulsory.
Furthermore, as this asset was an error, there are no values on it.
I tried to enter a deactivation date, but this is not possible because of no acquisition performed.
Therefore, I would like to know if it is possible to erase an asset even if a capitalization date has been entered in the master data?
If it is possible, how can I do?

Hi,
This is the drawback in asset master, when you make cap date as mandatory for AS01 transaction.
As a standard practice, cap date gets updated automatically when posting MIGO / F-90 only along with the qty.
In your case, first ask your ABAP member to delete the values from cap date field from table ANLA. (Field Name: AKTIV) for your questioned asset.
Then you can delete that asset with AS06 by choosing Physically delete the asset.
This will resolve your issue.
But if you make your field status as optional to cap date, then you must not got these kind of issues in the future.

Hi,
If it is in a test environment you can try OABL.
However, in production system, you can't/supposed to do that. You can delete with AS06 provided no transaction has beep posted to an asset.

Invalid entry on asset prior to deletion of asset

Hi Friends,
For one Asset, there was an amount booked on 30.09.2009 for currency SEK and then reversed 11.12.2009. However, there is a difference in the USD amounts for Depreciatin Area 32 (Group Book in Group Currency-USD) but no SEK amounts.
Zero value in Depreciation area 01
but 8.58 USD in Depreciation area 32
I can see that amount it looks like a USD exchange rate problem.
The amount on the asset should not be there - the amount on the asset should not be there - customer requesting that this entry be removed so asset can be closed.
Can any body assit on this how to clear this amount.

Yes, you are right.
This a difference between transaction currency and depreciation area currency.
Transaction currency is SEK
and Dep Area currency is USD (32 dep area)
and the posting made in Tra Cur (01) and Dep area currency (32) as below:
30.09.2009     71,480.69-     116     Acquisition - internal settlement to AuC     SEK
11.12.2009     71,480.69     116     Acquisition - internal settlement to AuC     SEK
30.09.2009     10,156.69-     116     Acquisition - internal settlement to AuC     USD
11.12.2009     10,148.11     116     Acquisition - internal settlement to AuC     USD
So the difference in Dep area (32) is 10,156.69 - 10,148.11 = 8.58.
I request you to let me know how to clear 8.58 from dep area 32 so that I can delete the asset from books.

Deletion of asset class

Hi
Can anyone advise how do I make use of program RACLSDEL for deletion of asset class?
One of the Requirements:
You must first mark the asset classes for deletion.
How do i mark the asset class for deletion? In transaction OAOA i can only block the asset class and not delete.

Hi Sui,
In addition to what has been said, make sure there is no Asset Master within the system using the Asset Class you intend to delete. Otherwise, deletion would not be possible.

AS91/AS92 - Delete Duplicate Assets

Dear friends off a difficult times
In PRD, during a load of assets to a new area, the user generated duplicate records for fixed assets (load by LSMW).
I found many forums on this subject, but have not found a complete solution to my problem.
Sets:
For acceptance values (SPRO):
SM30: 31/09/2011
OAYC: 09/2011
For the load was done the following:
1) create old asset by AS91;
2) Date of Incorporation: 31/09/2009 (must be this date)
3) In "Values in Acceptance", I insert the acquisition value, accumulate depreciation and value of the amount of depreciation in the year launched.
For deleting the assets created in duplicate was performed the following:
1) I tried to delete the values of acceptance, but only got the purchase price and Accumulated Depreciation (last year) by AS92;
2) I changed the key of depreciation for 0000 (not depreciate) by AS02. The beginning of the depreciation is 01/10/2011;
3) Paralysis also asset by the AS02;
4) I low the asset by ABAVN dated 01/10/2011;
5) I blocked the immobilized by AS05.
OBS.: I could not remove the asset by AS06.
The problem is: When I run the depreciation is calculated values for this asset, which should not happen because we want to eliminate the asset.
How to remove / delete / block assets so that its effect is null in accounting?

Hi:
In order to delete the assets you need to sett a deactivation date on the asset (ANLA-DEAKT) and then use AS06 to delete it.
If there are any postings made to assets then you would not be able to do that. Incorporation date i do not think has anything to do with depreciation ..Depreciation is affected by the asset capitalization date as per period control settings.

Deleting Shared Assets

I have an asset type which is shared between two sites. So whenever a contributor creates a new asset of that type,it will be automatically shared between the sites. But I do not have an option to unshare or delete that asset as it is been shared.
The contributor interface do not have an option to share an asset. Is there any costumisations to have that option?
I am usning Oracle Webcenter Sites 11g version.

Unshare: Go to the source site, open the asset from contributor interface. Go to menu Content -> Share; System opens a pop up, which shows all the sites to which the asset is shared to (on the right side). Select and move the sites that you do not want to share the content. Save your changes. This is how you can unshare an asset.
Share from Contributor interface: Use the same feature (Content -> Share) to share the asset to desired sites. This is a context sensitive menu and hence may not be enabled if you do not have the right asset open.

How CAn we Delete CApitalized Assets.

You can scrap a asset.
Using AS06 -- Block -you can stop further acquisitions, Delete - No postings will be made to this asset.

Mass delete unposted assets without values through worklist in AS06

Hi,
I would like to delete unposted assets(got a list of asset numbers without values assigned) from AS06. I managed to create the worklist to store all the asset numbers. And from the AS06 screen, I went to SAP menu, Environment ->Worklist -> Delete Asset. But I could not because the worklist submenu items(include asset, delete asset and find asset) are all disabled(gray out).
May i know if there is anyway this can be enabled for me to do mass delete of AS06. Or any available screen that enable me to do this.
I am aware of the alternative is to write a BDC program for mass delete of unposted assets. However, I would like to explore the standard features to avoid having the code.
Any advice.

Deleting an asset without deleting the representation.

I'm not aware of a way to do this. Why do you need to do it?
Is it because you need to reimport that asset because the content has changed? In that case, simply CTRL-click on the asset and select "Analyze". This will effectively re-import the asset, and recreate the proxies.
Or is it because its a particular file that you dont want to appear in FCS, but needs to remain on the drive? In that case, it's a bit trickier. If there is a pattern to the files you dont want imported, then you could apply that as a filter within the scan response (for example, I've added "inprogress." to the reject filter of one of my scan responses to prevent any files that are still in the process of being downloaded from being imported). Another example is to restrict a scan to only importing *.mov files, to prevent any audio, documents, images, etc from being caught in the net.
If it's the second case, then I agree with you: there should be a way to delete the asset from the database, but not from the filesystem. The only problem with that however is that without the filtering I mentioned, the asset would likely reappear after the next scan was triggered!

Preventing deletion of Assets

Is there a way to prevent a group of users from deleting assets? I have some inters that are going to be classifying our 6,000 (and Growing) video clips and they need administration rights to manage the metadata fields but it would be nice if they could not delete any assets.
It is way to easy to select all, right click and delete all assets. I would like to set a boolean asset for delete that all users could check and then have one super admin user review those and delete if appropriate.
the only way I have found to prevent a user from deleting the entire database is to set them to reviewer or browser. Then they have no administrator access.
Any Ideas??

Did you solve this? I'm having issue setting permissions for a specific permission set. I've gone to their Device Permissions, and for each device I have set "forbid" under the delete column. Yet they can still delete (and yes they logged out/in) the asset and main representation.
Wondering if you or anyone has a solution.

I tried the option of Worklist but it seems it does not have the delete option...

ASSET_MASTERRECORD_MAINTENANCE
while calling the FM you need to send the parameter
i_trtyp = 'L'. "deletion flag
along with other parameters.

Deletion of Assets in the PO line item

Hi Gurus,
We have a PO containing 7 different assets. The assets were GRd and invoice was also entered in MIRO last November.
Start of depreciation for these assets were also done last November 2011. However, some problem were encountered with the vendor which will require one of the seven assets to be deleted in the PO. The asset to be deleted is valued at 67,500.00 and it's net book value at the end of 2011 is 66,725.00.
When we tried to reverse the GR Reversal, an error was encountered saying that Line item causes scrap value of 1.00 to be violated.

I dont think so that you can directly reverse the asset GRN without reversing the concerned MIRO document.
Rather you can retire the same asset as on GRN date only, since here you dont need to reverse documents anymore.
Else, please check your scrap value settings for your company code in OAAW & OAYI.

Deleting Fixed Assets

Hi,
I'm reciving an error during transaction AS06:
"Deleting is not possible. The asset already has values."
the solution in sap is:
"Delete the transferred values using the transaction for changing old assets."
I'm trying to delete those values using AS92, but everything looks locked. Where exactly and exactly how shall I remove this??
