Deletion of podcasts without deleting subscriptions ??

I just installed a new version of itunes and am unable to list podcasts without the subscriptions ie I can't delete all my podcasts after transferring to my ipod without deleting the subscriptions.
How do I list podcasts independently of subscriptions?

Good idea, but I looked and podcasts were already checked. I unchecked everything else, but the podcast still only appear with the subscriptions.
Before there was a "Library" function showing everything at once (and this would be great now as I'd be able to look at it by date of download). Then you could check genre = 'podcasts' and see only the podcasts (not the subscriptions) but still within the "library" function. [There was a separate category 'podcasts' showing the subscriptions to use for updating.]
It's that general "library" function showing all or a subcategory that they removed.
I've managed to get around this by deleting stuff in the folder in windows, but it all still shows up in itunes, and it's a klunky 'fix'.
thanks for your replies,
Judy

  • How do you delete subscriptions in iCal?

How do you delete subscriptions in iCal?

    I m upset...
Same as above except I can complete and further detail the problem.
    1) when using ical event subscriptions, you are downloading an URL which goes to implement ical.
    2) Of course when I am going to ical calendar list, I right click on the mouse and I erase the calendar subscription. No problem about that !
    3) Most of us are intuitively trying to solve and fix the problem we can have. Accordingly my hesitations made that I have subscribed several times the same ical event. (7 times....)
    4) Why 7 times ? because I was doing what you have recommended above, I mean erasing the Ical event subscribed and then re subscribing it...
    5) each time you re trying to make it appeating again into ical because you want that subsribed event, it is occuring on ical the exact numer of time you have subscribed the event previously.
    6) In my case, 7 times .... and if I am continuing like this it will never end...
SO THE QUESTION IS : How to erase the PREVIOUS URL event subscription ??? because it is stored somewhere in the system ... and finally have only a UNIQUE URL subscription.

  • UWL – Multiselect – Delete Subscriptions   - massdelete

    Hello,
I have a problem with deleting Subscriptions in our UWL. In our current installed test version (SAP Netweaver 2004s SP9) it looks no longer possible to select and delete all entries of one item type (for example: subscriptions) together. So the user must delete each of the messages individually.  (There are Users with over 3000 entries). With our “old” Version of the Portal (EP6) it was possible to do a Multiselect and delete all entries of one item type together. I tried to modify the standard XML-Files, but I wasn’t successful. I (and my users) would be glad about every hint.
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi Stefan / Gregor,
I'm facing the same issue. The customer I'm working with, wants a new view to approve massively a group of documents. The view works perfectly and all the approval is correctly done.
The problem we're facing is that this process involves a lot of time because they must check the boxes one by one and then press the button of Approve or Reject.
What we want is to select all the lines and press approve, is there a way to make this in an effective and standard way???
    Thanks in advance and regards,

  • Manage/Delete Subscriptions

I want to delete any subscriptions that I accidentally joined. Instruction says to go to 'My Subscription' and you'll be able to manage/delete subscriptions. I selected 'My Subscription' but I do not see any forums that I subscribed. Can anybody point me to the right direction on how to this? I've getting 100's of emails that my mailbox might not be able to handle. Thank you!

  • Why do I need iTunes for getting podcasts and other subscriptions.

Ok, to be fair, I do love my two iOS devices (iPhone and iPad). I have used these for just over a year now and I'm still impressed about speed and stability.
There's one thing though that annoys the **** out of me: The inability to automatically get my subscriptions for podcasts, without having to connect my iOS-devices to my computers iTunes.
I use a number of operating systems on a daily basis and that makes it hard to have one centralized location for an iTunes installation. This means I end up having to track releases manually and download them (through the mobile version of iTunes I might add) to my devices.
What could possibly be the reason for Apple not to support this?
Is there a place for such feature requests, somewhere on this site?
If this is it then I would like ask for the following:
    - automatically sync all subscribed media directly on the iOS-device
    - timetracking between devices. Just like with the iBooks (awesome feature!)

Apple does not normally read these forums so use the following:

  • Can I buy After Effects without an subscription?

    Hi,
I want to know if I can buy After Effects without any subscription. Can I found this program in any store in Canada? I want to start to edit some some stuff for my Youtube channel. I really need to know this. I want to buy it but I won't buy it with the subscription thing. I only want Adobe After Effects, I don't won't any program with it and stuff like that.
Thanks you in advance, hope you can answer me fast.
    Visken

If you want to EDIT the After Effects is the wrong program. If you want to create effects shots or motion graphics shots then After Effects is a very powerful tool for very specific effects and short sequences. Using After Effects as your editing program is like trying to drive nails with a screwdriver. Very slow and inefficient.
You can buy a perpetual license for CS6 or a subscription for just AE.

  • HT5295 can I listen to podcasts without podcast app on my iphone?

I have an iPhone 4. I just upgraded to ios 6.0 including Podcasts app. I listen to 8-10 podcasts a day and with the older ios I still had plenty of battery life to make it to the end of the day.
Now if I listen to 4 or 5 podcasts my battery is already down to half. I have looked at the prefs and did not see where I can reduce the battery usage.
Is anyone else have this problem? Is there any remedy that has been posted? Is there a way to listen to podcasts without using the Podcasts app?
    Thanks.

I am assuming your podcasts also appear in itunes on your computer and if so you should be able to listen to them there.

  • Can i save a podcast without taking up space on nano 6, i keep getting error message space is used up but I don't want to lose the podcast episode for the future

can i save a podcast without taking up space on nano 6, i keep getting error message space is used up but I don't want to lose the podcast episode for the future

Sorry to be such a moron with this, but I just don't have much experience with this iPad.  I have had it for over a year and I just keep adding stuff to it and it has worked great.  Now that the memory is used up, I am trying to figure out how to free up space and not lose what I have paid for.
So, Step 1 is complete, as I have "Transferred" all of the purchases.
What is Step 2?  I unchecked the concert on the iTunes library, did a sync, but it's still on my iPad.
    Thanks again for the help!!!

  • I don't want my pictures on a web server. Can I use Elements version 13 without a subscription??

I don't want my pictures on a web server. Can I use Elements version 13 without a subscription??

Yes you can use Elements without subscription.
Links to the cloud only happen if you decide to use mobile albums, and the free storage. But that is optional.

  • Persisted messages without durable subscriptions

Does weblogic JMS support PERSISTED MESSAGES without durable subscriptions. As per jms spec message persistence does make sense even without durable subscriptions in case when the JMS server fails before a message is sent and acknowledged.
"A JMS provider must deliver a PERSISTENT message once-and-only-once. This means a JMS provider failure must not cause it to be lost and it must not deliver it twice."
This implies that a persisted message will be persisted before sending and if JMS server fails, it resends the message to available consumers when server is back up and has nothing to do with durable/non-durable subscriptions.
Please let me know what you guys think and if it is supported in weblogic JMS.
              Thanks,
              -Raj

    - Topics require durable subcriptions to persist messages. This is a standard part of the JMS API. Nondurable subscribers have absolutely no need for persistence by definition - as such subscriptions exist solely for the life of the client's connection.
              - And yes, queues support persistence. This is required by the JMS spec, which BEA fully implements.
              - True "exactly-once" behavior usually requires the use of transactions in conjunction with JMS. This ensures that the message being processed and any related application work either atomically all fails or all succeeds.
The above applies to all JMS vendors.

  • Download podcast without subscribing to it?

Before iTunes 9 I was able to search a podcast, find an epidsode, and click the "Free" button to download just that episode without having to subscribe to the entire podcast.
Come iTunes 9, which is supposed to be a more advanced version, and the "Free" button doesn't work at all unless you have subscribed to that podcast. How can I download a single episode of a podcast without subscribing to it?

Go to the website where the podcast is hosted and download it from there. Yeah, it's a pain in the *** to have to do that, but it's still doable.

  • Podcasting without .mac

Is there some way to Podcast without being a .mac member, i fill out the website url part when I publish to a folder, but itunes give me an error when I click subscribe.

Of course you can, although GB is integrated with other iapps it's still a really great independent multitrack studio. Just export the file and drop it into your server. If you want to do the RSS there are apps that will do most of the work for you.

  • How to delete video podcast without using iTunes

My Mac is G5 PPC, OSX 10.4.11, so cannot use
iTunes to sync Ipad; so is there a way of deleting downloaded video podcasts from the iPad?
When headphone is connected to the iPad, should the internal speaker not be automatically disconnected like on the iPod?

    makam wrote:
Appreciate suggestion, but does not work. Maintaining touch on the title, highlight the video, no delete check mark appears; letting go start the video playing again.
Kappy's suggestion doesn't work for me either. Just go into the iPod App, click on Podcasts, and swipe to the right. You should get a "Delete" block on the right. That's how it works on my iPad.

  • How do I delete old podcasts and sync new podcasts without getting duplicates

I  have an iPod Nano.  I've enjoyed downloading podcasts and listening to them while walking my dog.  I want to delete the podcasts I've already listened to and download only those I haven't heard.  If I delete old podcasts, will iTunes be able to identify and download only podcasts I haven't listened to?

You don't have to use the Podcasts app.  If you delete it and sync to iTunes on your computer via USB the podcasts will appear back in the Music app.  You can delete them there.
