Deletion of request in Data targets

Hi friends,
I extratced the data from one XXX source system and the request got updated in Bi Data targets.
But now i lost my connection with source system XXX , can i the delet the reqeust in the data target even though my source system has lost.

1. ok think like this if the request got failed and it is delta update and
i set the status to red also , when i tried to delete the faield request i lost my connection then how can i proceed .

or suppose if the request is sucessfull and then the connection with source system had lost, can i able to activate the request

Can not update request in data target

Hi,
We have a process chain for master data (10 parallel) loads. One of the load
failed with error "can not update request REQU_46xxxxxxxxxxxxxx in data target".
When I checked the InfoPackage
(a) update: full load
(b) it has data selection
(c) processing :PSA and then to data targets
(d) Data targets: update in all data targets for which active rules exist.
But I do not see any list of data targets here.
Can some one please suggest me how do I correct this load failure.

I have checked Header tab in the monitor, in this there
is a update symbol and infosource name and an -->
but after arrow there is nothing.
when I click on this I get a message
"No active update rules exist".
Can you please advice me how to I correct this.

Add fields to IW31 WO: Parts Requested, Order Date, Target Date

Hello,
We have been requested to add 3 dates fields to a Work Order to help identify status for WO.
The dates fields we will have to include in the WO is:
-Parts Requested Date
-Order Date
-Target Date
In addition they want this report to be included in IW37N.
Is there a way to pull this off or are there fields that I can utilize in the current WO table that I can use to input this information?

Hi,
If you want fields at order header level it is best to add some custom fields to the Enhancement Tab with help of exit IWO10018. This solution involves creating a new screen SAPLXWOC 0900 and adding the custom fields to structure CI_AUFK.
For fields at operation level you can choose to use a limited set of user fields on the Operation Enhancement Tab. Create a field key with transaction OILJ and select the fields to be used. This will determine which user fields are available in the operation.
These fields will not appear on IW37N output list. You would need to append the user fields to the outout structure RIH_ORDER_OPERATION_LIST.

Delta Update in data Target Must be Deactivated Before deleting the request

Hi Experts,
I got an error while deleting a request from an ODS target. In breaf Let me explain..
Today one data load got failed. The data source 0CRM_SALES_CONT_I ( CRM Sales Contract : Item ) is updating data to 4 ( Four ) ODS targets.
So I forcefully made the request red to delete the request from the targets. But I unfortunately deleted another request without making it RED, I reconstructed it. Everything is looking fine.
   But the thing is , when I tried to Delete the ERROR request from the other two related Data Targets ( 0CRM_CN2P and   0CRM_CNT1) , I fount these warnings..
                --> Request 140522 already retrieved by Data Target BWPCLNT600
                --> Delta update in Data Target BWPCLNT600 must be DEACT. before deleting the request.
                --> Do you want to DEACTIVATE the Delta Update in the Data Target BWPCLNT600   ?
   I clicked on YES.
I am having doubt, will it make any problem in future ? Or How Can I Resolve this problem   ?

Thank you. But the client no which I have mentioned is not our. That is different, I have given for the example. Bur the DS and ODS name are as it is.

How to push a perticular request from PSA to Data target using DTP in BI

Hello all.
I have mulitple requests in PSA & wanted to move only perticular requests (Randomly, say first request & last request ) to data target using DTP in BI 7.0. How can we do this.. ? Is there any option in DTP (BI 7.0)for selective loading of requests from PSA to Data Target..

Hi,
It is possible by using 'zero fetch' in DTP
If you want only the recent req to be loaded.
1. In PSA, change the status of the recent request to red
2. Do a zero fetch
that is processing mode - No data transfer; delta status in source: fetched
With this processing mode you execute a delta without transferring data.
3. change the particular request status back to green
4. Run a delta load

Data target 'ZGPPCAOD' removed from list of loadable targets; not loadable

Hi Friends,
I deleted some info providers and now I'm receiving messages when I try to start an info package´that had deleted info providers as data targets.
RSM033:
Data target 'ZGPPCAOD' removed from list of loadable targets; not loadable
RSM036:
Data taget 'ZGPPCAOD' is not active or incorrect; No loading allowed
How to get rid of these messages?
The problem is, that when I try to add those info packages to
process cnains no default processes like deleting and generating indices are provided.
Any ideas?

Deletion of data target contents Vs delete overlapping requests

hi,
when do we go for delete overlapping requests? if it is applicable for full load as well as delta load then i would like to first come up with the full load concept, we have the other option called delete data target contents with this we can delete daily full load without going for delete overlapping requests.
Pls let me know exact difference between DELETE OVERLAPPING REQUESTS FROM INFOCUBE with DELETE DATA TARGET CONTENTS.

When you have delta upload twice daily..the date in the previous request and the second request is same....so you might be giving this option to delete the overlap such that data is not loaded twice

And any ABAP report which can delete a particular request?

Hi Vikrant,
You can check Table RSREQDONE and RSREQICODS for all details about requests.
About deletion you can try with standard function in InfoPackage when uploading.

Delete Request which is already updated to Futher data target

Hi Experts,
Is there any way that we can delete a request from infocube which is already updated in to another data target.
My requirement is i have PCA infocube which 3 full loads and 1 delta. I can delete the full loads by using delete overlap request process type. But from PCA infocube the data is futher updated in another planning cube as delta request to update the actuals.
This is causing the problem as the data is getting further update to another cube as a delta request i am not able to delete the overlapping request of full loads in PCA cube. Any ideas or suggestions would be a great help.
please note that i cant change the dataflow at this point as this cube is already in production.

thanks for pointing this out.
I still think the procedure that I described would be suitable.
Let me re-capture: You want to delete the Full request in the Infocube, but you don't want to touch the data of this request that has been already updated in the planning cube.
1- Delete the full request in your infocube
2- Confirm the messages that this will lead to de-activating the delta to the planning cube (as explained previously)
3- Load your new full request into your infocube iif you want to
4- Set up the delta between Infocube and Planning cube again, by requesting an INIT w/o data
This way you will be able to change the data in the Infocube, but not impact the data that has already been updated in your data target the planning cube.
In case you want the new FULL request to be updated via a DELTA into your planning cube you have to swap the order of steps 3 and 4 above.
Hope that clarifies this approach to you.

Deletion of Request which are not updated to data target

I want to all PSA data whether it is updated or not In our project this is being done by Using a Process chain, But it is not deleting the request which are not updated to any data target or failed, I have selected both the check boxes
Only successfully booked requests
Only requests with errors, not updated in any data target
but even after selecting this check box it is not deleting the failed request, can any one tell me why it is so.
Any help in this would be highly appreciated.

Try to do it without checking any of the checkboxes...

I have got an abend in load and need to rerun from POF manually .So i need to delete bad request in ODS .But I am unable to delete bad request in ODS.

Try to do the following:-
1. Note that bad request number
2. Go to SE16
3. Open table RSODSACTREQ.: Filter the contents by that request number . There will be one entry for that request . Delete that entry
4. Open table RSICCONT. There will be one entry for that request . Delete that entry
5. Open Table RSMONICDP. Filter the contents by that request number . There will be 3-4 entries for that request depending on number of data packages in that request .Delete all those entries
Once these entries are deleted , the bad request will be automatically deleted from the ODS.

How to Delete Requests for Master Data Target

In BW 7.0 (SP24) I'm struggling with a time dependent master data process chain load using BI 7 load methods (Transformation / DTP). The unique aspect of this is that we are required to start the process chain with an ABAP that deletes the master data. (RSDMDD_DELETE_BATCH). So a "Full" load is necessary. And we have to remove the previous PSA and Requests so that the DTP won't attempt to load (and ignore) the previous PSA.
While deleting the previous PSA request is a straightforward operation in a process chain, there does not appear to be a function allowing us to delete the requests from a Master Data object. (info cube and OSD/DSO only).
Does anyone know of an existing ABAP or Function Module that we can use to delete the existing requests from our object before we run our load processes ?

Try the FM "RSDMD_DEL_MASTER_DATA".
But before deleting the master data you have to make sure that this master data is not used anywhere i.e, delete all the transactional data first.
U can also try RSDMD_DEL_PARALLELIZER

Unable to delete the Requests in the data target---Process chain

Can anyone plz help me out knowing this issue...
Let me explain the whole scenario:
Like when monitoring the process chains,one of the process chainhas a sequence of variants like:
load info-package1>ODS1 activation>load infopackage2-->load infopackage3..
due to some problems they scheduing it manually.all the infopackages loads data into one ODS1......suddenly info-package3 failed.
so....when i looked into the datatarget ODS1->manage->requests.
i found that the info-pack1 requests status was RED.
info-pack2 requests status was YELLOW.
info-pack3 requests status was RED.
ALL THE THREE R FULL UPDATES ONLY.
so suddenly one of our cologue deleted the all the three requests by making ino-pack2 requests to red.
when we r loading again the ino-pack1 again its failed.we deleted it onceagain(removing the requests from the ods),when we are trying to load ino-pack2 for some priority ,automatically the info-pack1 requests with red were seemed in the ODS.so how to solve this issue and also how to load these three ino-packs..
i hope that all understand the scenario..plz suggest me how to work on it

Your loads are running on back ground you have to kill this porcess in SM50 or SM51 check which are all jobs are running with your user name and ALEREMOTE if jobs are running with ALEREMOTE you can check wether it is your load or some body else in SM37 so kill your jobs in SM50 or in SM51 and make request into RED of your 3 loads, delete the requests from ODS and repeat the loads it will go with out any issues, as i under stood your question when your colegue deleted the request without killing the process he simply made it to red and delete its wrong he has to kill the process and then make it to red.

Unable to delete data target contents of Write-Optimized DSO in Process Chain

Hi Experts,
We are using SAP Net Weaver BW 7.01 version and we need to delete the entire data target contents of Write-Optimized DSO in the process chain before the next data load.
I included this step in process chain but still it is failing with errore message"Message not found (in main memory), Drop Cube Failed In Data Target"
This process type is working during BW 7.0 version but not in BW 7.01 version.
However i found that we can use the program RSSM_DELETE_WO_DSO_REQUESTS to delete old requests in the Write-Optimized DSO for BW 7.01 SP07 as per SAP Note 1437407 but still it's not working even after implementing this program as the Prerequisite to delete the request is the data mart status should be updated where it is not happening for the program.
We had an process type option to 'delete the requests from Write-Optimized DSO' directly in BW 7.3 but still not available in 7.01 version.
Could you please suggest me on how to resolve this issue in BW 7.01?

Create ABAP program as attached code.
Then you can use that ABAP program in process chains through ABAP variant
ABAP varaint should have following properties
Select call mode as Synchronous; call from Local; and Program
Give your ABAP program name in "program name" and create one program variant for each write optimized DSO.
Please refer how to use ABAP program in process chains for further details.

Is it possible to load a request already updated in the data target ?

Question: load a request which is already updated in data targets and data mart status is set
Data flow:
source system -
> ODS1 -
> Infocube1
Now, requests are first loaded into ODS1. Then these request are loaded into Infocube1.
Now, i deleted the request in the Infocube1.
Is it possible to reload the request from ODS1 to Infocube1 ?
Please suggest how.

It is possible to load the data but not same request.
The reason why we can not load the request is in ODS level delta resords are updated ,hence with the selection condition we have to load the present and previous data.
and one more thing...
If you are deleted request in Cube level means, we can reconstuct the same request via reconstruction tab..
